This place seems to have closed unexpectedly several months ago. I would call and call and no one would pick up the phone and then one day i walked by it and saw the sign on the door saying to contact the owner. I used to get massages here by Andy. I would love to know how I can get in touch with him or where he’s working now. He was a really great masseuse.

This place doesn’t seem to be open. My husband bought a spa package from here(thru online) for my bday gift a month ago. I called them several times to make an appointment, left several voice messages since no one picked up, and I never got a call back. Today I came here in person to make an appointment(Saturday afternoon) and the shop was closed with a sign«contact the landlord.» We are now trying to figure out if we can get refund for the deluxe spa package he paid for. :-(

Amazing place! They do such a great job in all they do– mani/pedi and by far one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I don’t typically go to a male massage therapist but John was incredible– he is very seasoned and experienced and took out all my stress and knots. Also, love the ambiance with the soothing music and the old time movies playing o the TV screens. This place does it right!

Very good service and nice atmosphere. The prices are a tad bit high but not ungodly. If you use the Unilocal coupon it saves a lot! I will definitely come back. Today I had a nail fill and gel color, green tea pedicure and a chair massage.

Honestly the best 45 minute massage I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to relax and have some knots rubbed out! Everything is very clean and they make you feel very comfortable. I have never had a bad mani/pedi either. I do have very short finger nails and they somehow make them look pretty! I will continue to go back.

I used to get facials here by Claire and now she’s gone! Does anyone know where she went?!

I had such a great experience here!!! Super quiet and zen, if you want to get a massage. I got 30 minutes on the chair, and was on cloud 9 about the service. My masseuse name was john, and he used some physical therapy techniques that I thoroughly enjoyed. He went over the timer, because he is the bomb and felt like I needed more. But seriously, I’m coming back next time for the full hr on the bed

To be honest, I am not sure that this place deserves a full 2 stars, it should be 1.5 stars I went for a pedicure and a manicure(filler). The pedicure lasted less than 10 minutes(no joke). When they asked if i wanted a special massage(for extra $$$) on my legs I said no — and then I did not get any massage. But the nails were the worse. I do not know how to explain this other than they look … warped. There are bumps and hills and wavy cliffs and trenches on each nail surface(I got a fill — not natural nails). It looks like there are growths underneath my nails in all these uneven places. I have never seen anything like it. But I guess I should have known — if you go to a salon on a weekend and you are the ONLY person there… you should probably keep walking. On the positive side — they get a half a start because it was clean

We walked in on today, a Saturday afternoons and the place was practically empty. We told the woman at the front that my sister and I were here for pedicures, nothing was said on her part at all, so we walk back to pick colors. A couple minutes later she comes up to us with an incredibly«put out» disposition and asks us to come back som time later in the day, as they are too busy to accommodate us. There were literally 2 people getting pedicures and no one else in the entire place. Seriously? We walked out and will not be back. F.

I only went because I got a gift card. PRO: Mani/pedi was good. No complaints. They offer you a beverage. The décor is nice. Spacious Staff is pleasant Clair gives a no nonsense facial. She has firm fingers with a gentle touch. She throws your limbs around at the end to take out the stiffness from laying still for so long. Her massages were decent. CONS: There was a little bit of a Bait and Switch going on. They added extras to services and ended up itemizing instead of honoring their package deals and eliminated my reflexology(I had a 200 gift card). They didn’t offer nor shown me the sauna room. The washroom area was in complete darkness and no lightswitches to be found. Getting dressed was fun. It was in Hoboken and had to fork over an extra 20 to park in a lot

Friend and I went for facials and reflexology. Booked 1.5 weeks in advance. 3 – 4 important light bulbs were out in the dressing room. Flies flying around the toilet room and the lock was broken. We both had bad experiences, my friend’s worse than mine. Neither technician explained in advanced what they would do, nor explained what they were doing. My friend’s technician used some sort of machines with little human touch. Basically, neither spoke enough English to explain what was happening. Mine didn’t leave the room when I was to transition from robe to elastic towel wrap. Hers was a man about which she tried to stay open-minded. It was clear that new owners’ focus has been on nails, not spa services. We were the only clients in there during the 2 hours we were there. Never returning.

I used to visit Spa Aura religiously for their 7 Grain Enzyme pedi and really enjoyed their services and ambiance. I love that they play old movies! Anyway, I learned that the salon changed mgmt and decided to try it out over Memorial Day weekend with my MOL and mom. While my experience was fine, my mom’s wasn’t. They obviously overbooked because my mom was left alone for 40 minutes after her pedi/foot massage. She got the massage and was supposed to get her pedi, but the attendant left and never came back! She ended up walking out of the salon w/o getting ANYTHING done because she was so fed up. They offered to do her feet and nails after that and even a massage but my mom was so turned off she left. Unfortunately, I will no longer return to the salon. I’ll watch Mary Poppins on my iPad at the next salon I go to.

I called for a one hour massage, the lady said $ 30 then said wait hold on, then said it was $ 90. Maybe because I called from a Cali number, but even in Manhattan we found massages for $ 42.50. That is ridiculous. I didn’t even bother going because that’s an expensive massage.

I gave this place 2 more chances since the last time I was here. I have to say, I like it much better now! They installed massage chairs instead of the bench. Although the long bench was nice looking, I love the added bonus of a little massage while I’m getting a pedi. It just adds to the relaxation. Also, they are currently running a $ 24.95 special for a regular mani pedi. Can’t beat that!

I booked a one hour massage on Amazon Local, and for a steal of a price I wasn’t expecting much. Man was I pleasantly surprised! First off, the receptionist was very sweet and helpful. I had to reschedule at the last moment due to mistaking the address, and she very generously switched me to a different day with no hassle. Furthermore the facility was top notch. I’m used to spas in Manhattan that are cramped and spartan, but this place featured lockers, full body showers, a sauna, complementary slippers, orange essence water… all of the fancy frills you could ever hope for. That was all a prelude to the massage. My masseuse worked out all of my knots and even massaged my clogged sinuses to relieve pressure that I was having. I left freshly showered and floating on a cloud for my commute home. Look forward to going back sometime soon!

I have been here a few times, but the last time was my last. I was never really that impressed by the salon’s pedicures but I kept going there because I like that they don’t have jets in their basins. I don’t get paint on my toenails so when someone does a pedicure for me it is a lot less work for them. Unfortunately, the last time I went on Friday– the woman who did my pedicure seemed like she couldn’t care less about it. I mean I know you are cleaning my feet which isn’t really glamorous but if you have a problem with the job, then find another one. She not only barely scrubbed the bottoms of my feet, my little leg message was one swipe up and down my leg. Really? $ 25 for that? I could have washed my feet with a washcloth and received the same results. I am really upset with this place and after never having really liked it because they never really did a good job. now this… Sorry guys– you lost a customer.

In summary: bad manicure, great ambiance and more expensive than your average salon. I’ve gotten gel manicures several times before and always found that they lasted quite awhile. However, after only 3 days my gel manicure began to chip. Despite having a busy work schedule, I cut out early to get the three nails that chipped fixed and they were really good about it, even fixing nails they anticipated would later chip. All would have been well and good in my book if two other nails didn’t chip 2 days later(and I wasn’t going back yet again). Basically, in less than a week, the majority of my nails were chipped. Meanwhile all other gel manicures have lasted for well over a week, sometimes even 2 or 3. Also, I had bought a livingsocial deal for a gel manicure & chai pedicure, otherwise I wouldn’t have likely gone there being that it’s more expensive than the majority of salons in Hoboken. What I do have to say is that at least the ambiance is a lot more soothing than other salons in Hoboken and both times I went, the service was great – they took me right away.

I came in last week with the living social deal for the cap pedi and gel mani. I specifically came in 2 days before my vacay so my nails would be done while I was gone. Everyone was very nice — and I really enjoyed t the pedicure. Then came the manicure everything seemed great and I left a very happy customer but unfortunately the next day my mani began to chip off :(i didn’t have time to go back in before we left but it is now happening on all the nails and I’m 4 days into our trip. I’m very disappointed with the gel mani here — and with their costs I don’t think I would chance it again. Not sure what happened — but I have had numerous gel manicures and never had this happen before.

I love and miss going to this place. It’s in Hoboken — so, hard to find parking. Pros: affordable spa like experience for just a pedicure! love their pedicure, with the wax + some grain– smells and feels amazing. Love the ambience, quiet, trendy, spotless, the smell of the place is so relaxing. I had a manicure done and they were massaging me while I was drying my hands. Cons: would be nice to have one like this in SD.(: Can’t wait to visit again!

This was a very disappointing experience. Went in for the body scrub and full body massage. Arrived early to use the sauna. Their sauna is a bench in a slightly warm room. It is extremely uncomfortable and does not produce a sweat or lose muscles in the slightest. When a girl offered me not green tea, she came back with a styrofoam cup with cold water and a tea bag. Cold water. Like it came from the cooler in the hallway. The body scrub was great. Very professional girl. The full body massage was not as enjoyable. The masseur repeatedly commented on my tattoos and began discussing his plans for tattoos on himself. I found this extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. When I wrote to Spa Aura to let them know that happened, I received no response or apology. I a disappointed to have spent money there and was made very uncomfortable by the masseur.
