Village Park of Hoffman Estates Apartments

Still having continuing problems with noise. My neighbor continues to break the apartment rules. Nothing I can do at this point but move when the lease is up. I have tried everything but apparently there isnt much they can do. Other than the neighbor it isnt a bad place to live. But the apartment should be enforcing the rules and holding her accountable.

My girlfriend and I who are looking at apartments in the area decided to check this place out since we both drive past it everyday on our way to work. Our first impression of the place was great! We were excited to see that we could finally have that private fenced in patio for our dog to run around in. Also the leasing office was beautiful! Too bad we didn’t get to see any of it or even hear about it. We sat down with someone at the leading office who didn’t tell us anything or even show us anything. She would interrupt us in the middle of a sentence to flirt with another guy who worked there. We kept asking her questions about amenities and what pet rent would be and she just told us is on the paper she gave to us. She also showed us a few pictures of the apartment and it looked like a prison. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIVE HERE.

If I could give negative stars I would! The rent is excessive and gets raised every year. I have a tiny 2 bedroom. My bathtub paint is peeling off. You can’t take baths since there isn’t enough hot water to fill a tub. Mold on the walls of my bedroom and ceiling of my bathroom. Which I have to bleach periodically. A broken gate which they told me wasn’t their responsibility. Police at the buildings a couple times a week. Walls are paper thin my neighbors smokers cough keeps me up all night.Ants. My neighbor smokes and sometimes the smell seeps into my kitchen from our connected units. Old dirty kitchen cabinets with paint that rubs off throughout the apartment. Spiders! Everywhere! Garbage bins overflowing. Questionable neighbors. Don’t be fooled by the clubhouse or the pool… Dirty pool, dirty scummy hot tub. Filthy lounge chairs. broken gym equipment broken foosball table. In the winter parking lot is iced over never cleaned walkways barely cleared. In the summer unattended kids bad kids might I add swimming in the pool in their underwear, swearing and yelling obscenities at passer by’s, throwing rocks at tenants windows trash all over the compounds and don’t dare walk in the grass there’s dog crap everywhere even on sidewalks. I had to go without heat in the winter on the coldest snaps we had for a week until they fixed my heater. The only reason I’m still here is the schools are great. I’m planning on buying a house next year so I have to tough it out another year.

If you decide to live here. Expect your vehicle to get damage. My wife’s car just got a second dent. My car got three dents so far. People here don’t respect or don’t know how to drive. During winter time parking lot sucks just ice everywhere.

I would give this place a negative 0 if I could. I was shown a model apartment and were told that what I would get would be the same as except for the cabinet color. Boy was that a lie, the apartment i got wasn’t even put together and cleaned properly. They called and said I had to move in ASAP because the previous renter moved sooner, and when I went to check the apartment it was disgusting. Dirty carpets, broken toilet seat that is still broken, broken shower handle, peeling paint in the bath tub with mold, broken fridge etc. The list goes on and on. And please don’t try to get anything fixed it takes you calling them fifty million times to get anything done. There is no concrete between apartments so please don’t believe that bull. you can hear the phone ringing in my neighbors apartment upstairs and next door.
The hallways are dirty and smelly and the laundry machines are ALWAYS broken. Like wtf? The parking lot in the winter is a JOKE!!! They don’t clean it and barely clean the walkways. There is ice everywhere, I have fallen 3 times, my friend once, and countless neighbors. The heat has to always be set to high otherwise it will freeze in your apartment, so you get to burn up and have to constantly open and close the windows because it is so hot.
The best thing about this apartment is the clubhouse/​office and proximity to the highway. No surprise there it’s what they use to suck you in. The office staff could care less about you or your concerns. Do yourself a favor and don’t rent here, you will regret it.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Everything about this place is nasty !! The carpets are so stained, the garbage Bin outside always has trash all over it. Its so gross. They are over priced and the managers obviously don’t take there job seriously. The smells in the hallways are disgusting. There’s always police there. Me and my boyfriend had to witness our neighbors door getting busted in by DEA. All around its not worth the price. The water sucks and either you get a cold showers or extremely hot showers. Great way to start your morning !! Not! Just take this little piece of advice and don’t sign a lease here you can find better for your money. We move out in a month and Ive never been happier :))

I chose not to lease here. The photos online are nice and the clubhouse/​pool looks nice. However, the halls are dingy and smell. The apartment we were shown had mold stains still visible through the new coat of paint on the wall, when I pointed this out to their staff she pretended to not notice. Also one of the cabinets fell apart upon my inspection.
A current tenant came to complain about «another break in» while we were viewing and the staff blew her off claiming she was crazy. After showing us one unit the staff member told us to look around on our own. If this is the service potential clients receive I’m surprised they have any renters at all…
