Customer service the worst I ever seen, I came with my wife to eat and asked table for two the owner told me they have 2 tables but the reserved and if I can eat my food in 30 min they can let us sit, she was very rude and Unprofessional, I had a feeling that they doing me a favor for my money. They just lost potential client with that kind of attitude… will never go back again

Wish I could give them zero stars. There was a group of people eating at the restaurant, we entered and grabbed a table. The waitress asked us to leave and said they were not open for another half hour. Strange because it was prime lunch time, all other places on Boardwalk were busy serving food, and they were serving another group. We said that was not an issue as we were not in a rush, we could wait. Her manager got upset and said we had to leave as it would attract others to sit down. Umm… is that not what you WANT on a Friday afternoon at 1:00pm??? Very odd considering another group was getting served, all other boardwalk places were busy, and it was prime lunch time. Staff were complete a-holes and rude. We went next door, everyone else wanted our money. Would not spend a $ at this hole.

Very very delicious armenian food. We had the Greek salad, lots of dill and parsely, quality cheese. I had the lamb kebob, nicely seared, moist, large serving. Potatoes are absolutely delicious. Beautiful perfect view on boardwalk. Can’t wait to come again. P. s. great service.

One of my favorite restaurants hands down. Food is incredible… I’m Russian so I always order my favorite borsh and fresh salads. These are not American salads with three lettuce leaves and a drizzle of dressing. These are hearty salads that could be a meal in itself with lots of fresh ingredients. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Waiters are nice and friendly and you can’t beat the ocean view. Overall an excellent place!

Bookmarked this spot. Service was not overly friendly for my take out order. She did not even want to give me any ones(as I wanted to tip her). Greek salad was HUGE and tasty. Not the best version I have ever had but pleasant enough.

This WAs supposed to be a night out in Hollywood beach with our grandson with fun and a good dinner. We had fun but dinner was terrible. As I write this I am still sick as an armenian dog… first. greek salad… looks great. oh btw… no feta… chucks of tasteless crap. we order chicken kabobs. And lamb kabobs. and lamb chops… I changed my mind and ordered two appetizers instead. and as I said am still throwing up. herring and sausage… yuk. kabobs .skewers with veggies served with rice… not… Dead dried chicken and frenchfries… what…and a can of crap tomato sauce… lamb chops boring… french fries again… and then to top it all off. The bill comes and I question the amount… oh they charge 15pct for all parties but don’t tell you and also did not take of my lamb kabob which I cancelled… the owner. A stoic women, with the personality of a slug could have cared less. it is called lesson learned. Avoid this resturant at all costs.

All orders were placed correctly. All food was great. Waiters took orders pretty quickly. I am not sure what some bad reviews are from. The best place to eat on the boardwalk in Hollywood.

We wanted a family meal after a day on the beach. Walking down the Broadwalk you see the usual restaurant traps, generic«fish» restaurant which only knows how to deep fry, bland Italian and divey beach bars. This spot was unique primarily because they had a party of 20 sitting out front speaking Russian and had a table ready. We sat. The English menu is funny, it lacks any serious description of an item. We aren’t terribly familiar with Russian/Armenian/Ukraine foods so we spent some time chatting with the friendly blond waitress. We ordered dark Ukraine and Russian beers, mussels and pickles to share. With the staff’s advice, we ordered several lamb kebobs, grilled salads, hummus and more. Overall, everything we ordered tasted fresh, was hot and felt authentic. It was like stepping into another country with the Russian music videos on the TV and cold Ukrainian beer. It wasn’t all roses though, their menu had a varied selection of items but the kitchen was out of many items. They had no salmon, no shrimp, no wheat dish, etc. The picky eater in the group wasn’t happy but their kebab satisfied. Honestly though, that was it for downsides. We liked the food, the view and the atmosphere. It was a really nice change from yet another slice of pizza or typical beach food. And, bonus, you can order from the sushi spot next door if the borscht isn’t your style, which would be too bad because it was lovely.

I walked back and forth here, a couple of nights ago. Wanted to try it, because I have never heard of Armenian food before this. My former CEO at the South Park Startup is Armenian, born and raised in Boston, I think, so that’s the extent of my knowledge. I have learned, since coming to Florida over 20 years ago, this part of east coast south Florida attract northeastern folks down here, and Germans apparently. What I did not know until the last few years was the influx of Russians. I noticed that in December 2014, when I was down here last. This restaurant according to Unilocal is Greek, but by the signage of this restaurant, it bills itself as Armenian and Russian. Had a bit of flight crisis as flights to JFK was canceled. I was getting rerouted to BOS which would mean that there was a high likelihood of me being stranded in Logan and not make it back to SFO until the next day. Finally found a later flight and by then I had not had lunch. Between work, rebooking of flight, and conference, I was beyond starving. This was the only place I wanted to be at that point in time. I seated myself. I had an uninterrupted view of the blue ocean, sandy beach, sun and palm tree. An eastern European sounding girl was my waitress. I asked her what I should get given the limited time I had and that I wanted the best representation of Armenian cuisine. She suggested the lamb kebab and lamb with rice soup. They came one after another and they were perfect. The music playing in the background seemed ethnic, which I guessed could be Armenian pop. Cute. Food aside, you got the million dollar view. The last time I was dining on the beach like this, I was in Thailand. Something about eating in front of a sandy beach, the Broadwalk(not to be confused with the Boardwalk), the view to the endless blue crystal clear Atlantic sea water where the temperature was warmer than one could ever imagine(I did wear my two piece bathing suit to swim in the ocean earlier in the week). There you are, eating something that came from a far away land, where their warmest day would not hold a candle to an average southern Florida winter day. I ate as I worked. On occasion, I’d raise my head under my blue straw hat and look at the ocean. The palm trees were telling me that the trade wind had picked up. 4:00PM. Must I leave? A friend from SF invited me back to Florida next week, I think he has a conference and he wanted me to go with him to play. «You can sit by the pool and work or do whatever. Come with me. Keep me company.» He said. I had to politely decline. One thing I learned about life is that you don’t want to overindulge. All good things must be savored: people, places, food. I want to leave this place and not know when I’d ever be back again. I want to remember my very first Armenian restaurant by the beach. Sometimes, distance does make the heart grow fonder.

Incredibly disappointing! Sorry Unilocalers, but you got it wrong this time. This place is not worth 4 or 5 stars, so I am surprised to see the glowing reviews. Yes, the million dollar view from your table is worth 5 stars, but we’re reviewing the food, not the view. This is the epitome of a tourist trap, the equivalent of South Beach’s Ocean Drive — overpriced food, with high prices due to the prime waterfront location. As I mentioned, the prices are extremely high for what you get, so I ordered the cheapest item on the menu, which was the chicken kabob at $ 12(and by the way, the menu displayed on Unilocal for this restaurant is NOT the actual restaurant menu, if you want to see their real menu, go to: ). The chicken was flavorless and dry, as well as overcooked. Look at my pictures, and you can see how the flesh is wrinkling, a sure sign of overcooked or reheated food. The sides that come with the meal are some tomato slices and raw onions. How can you justify charging $ 12 for that? I have had kabobs at other restaurants that throw in salads, rice, and many more ingredients than this skimpy arrangement and yet the meals are cheaper, and fresher. The potatoes that came with my meal also showed the tall tale signs of reheating. Considering there were only about 2 other tables, there is no excuse for being lazy and putting out reheated food. My friend also agreed that his food was unimpressive. By the way, service was slow, inattentive, and refills are not free. The food was not filling either. I have had Turkish, Middle Eastern food before, as well as Greek, and this tastes like neither. Those cuisines all happen to be very flavorful. If this is what Armenian food tastes like, then I can definitely cross this off my list of favorite ethnic cuisines.

I love this little gem! Do not be fooled by its appearance. Let’s be honest, where else can you find authentic Armenian food in South Florida? My point exactly. I have been coming to this place with my family for years and when my siblings come into town, coming here to dine is on the top of their list. The food and the atmosphere are very authentic as well as the food being very fresh and healthy. The owners and the staff are also authentic so if you come here expected to be treated like you are in America, forget it, this is as Eurasian as you get from the food to the service. Do yourself a favor and step out of your American bubble and get yourself cultured with some delicious authentic Armenian cuisine. WHATTOORDER: GREEKSALAD: If I could eat this salad everyday, I would! I still don’t understand why they call this a Greek salad because it is topped with the most delicious Armenian cheese that I dream about. You can’t even find this cheese locally. It’s imported and I have been to market after market, and fail, I cannot locate this delicious cheese. I have even asked the owners where I can find it and they tell the closest place I will find it is California, you know, just right around the corner from South Florida. The vegetables are always very fresh and the portion is enough to share. It is also perfectly dressed. KABOB’S: They are all great and seasoned very well. It just depends what I am in the mood for that day and the potatoes served with it are delicious and cooked to perfection as well. LAMB: Lamb anything is great here. If I am feeling fancy, I go for chops with a side of rice. They throw some«American-ish» items on their menu, I largely think due to the location of the restaurant, so if you know how to read the menu item on this menu, chances are you are looking at one of the items that were added to appeal to the masses, if you can’t pronounce what you are ordering, the better off you will be. My family is never able to make it to dessert here because we are so full and we also come here to eat on the healthier side as well. They also offer a drink selection you will not find anywhere else with imported beers and imported carbonated soft drinks. You might as well go all out authentic here, it’s easy to do, get the whole experience in. If you get the chance to meet the owners, they are the nicest people and they truly enjoy running this restaurant and sharing their culture through the story of their menu with anyone who dines here. THEDIRECTOCEANVIEW! This place is right on the boardwalk and facing the ocean. Top rated people watching as well as catching the ocean breeze. Dine in paradise. PARKING: Hollywood Grill actually has a private lot just behind the restaurant with an attendant. There is still a small cash fee but as long as you keep your receipt, you will get a refund on your parking when you return and show it to the attendant. Parking can be a challenge in this area but not many people know about this arrangement Hollywood Grill has with this small lot. It is perfectly fine to give the attendant your keys, he sometimes has to double park your car, I have done this many times and my car has been returned safely and with all of its items. Just call the guy a very laid back valet. If you are looking to escape the norm and try something new, flavorful, and on with healthier side with stunning views, do yourself a favor and get to Hollywood Grill.

Ordered the Hollywood muscles from the hot plate menu. Menu states rice or potatoes are included with all hot plates. Manager was rude and argued that muscles do not come with any sides and refused to mitigate the situation. She later said go by the picture pointed at a picture of the muscles from the previous page of an appetizers!!! Which by the way had rice in it! She looked at it and said :” It’s not rice, its a plate!” Haha After she showed how stubborn she was over a $ 2 side, we decided to return the food on principle. Such amazing customer service!!! I wonder how this place is still in business. Never coming back.

Oh no. This place is gross. Russian, Armenian, whatever it was not good. I grew up and live in the«Valley» of the Los Angeles area. Home of every type of Middle Eastern cuisine you can imagine. It happens to also be one of my favorite types of food so I’ve had a lot of it, as well as my share of invites to huge Armenian parties and family dinners. Hollywood Grill was not authentic and it was not good. The basket of pita bread wasn’t warm or fresh, yet it was served with butter(see my pics). Huh??? Butter, but no hummus? No place in LA has ever given me butter for pita bread. My sister and I ordered the Greek Salad to share. Craving the nice salty kick of yummy feta, we were both super surprised to find big blobs of mozzarella cheese. Huh??? In a greek salad??? The description on the menu even said feta, but there was no feta in sight. Her chicken kabobs were super dry and flavorless. She had to add lots of lemon juice and tabbouleh to it just to make it quasi-edible. My food was… I don’t even remember what I ordered. Clearly it was forgettable. Saving grace for this place is that its in a nice location right on the beach boardwalk. But as for the food, bleh. If this is considered ‘good’ Middle Eastern food for SoBe, Miami needs some lessons big time!
