Fast food meets Italian? Not quite. Yes you order at the counter and then grab a seat and wait for your food to be brought to you. But, it’s really quite good for this type of restaurant. The food tastes freshly made and the portions are generous. My dinner of Caesar salad, sausage parmigiana(with garlic knots) and a soft drink came in under $ 11.00. It’s not fine Italian dining but it is Italian done right without a high price.

When Gianmarcos is packed and I’m craving Italian close to home this is my next go to restaurant. The atmosphere is like Krystal’s because it used to be Krystal’s. The food is delicious and super cheap. I’ve had the lasagna, manicotti and calzone. It’s all good and a bunch of food too. Seriously most dishes could be shared for 2. The food is spot on and the service is great. So glad that Alfredo’s opened this joint in Homewood.

Alfredo’s is a no frills place that serves up good pizza, calzones and pasta. They also have some pretty awesome house-made garlic rolls. Friendly peeps, good food.

I eat at this place all the time. It’s just fresh hot Italian. No frills, friendly owner operated and very reasonably priced. I would recommend just about everything

Thursday lunch special was lasagne, with salad, two garlic rolls, and a drink for around $ 8 with tax. You just cannot beat that for a sit down, food brought to your table, meal. Excellent as always. Salad is always fresh and the house dressing is on the table. Love it.

Our consistently favorite pizza! We have reunited about a year ago since they left Festival… order a side of sauce or two with your pizza and start dipping. So good.

This place is shockingly great. I had the spinach manicotti(Monday special and a great price) and it was really good. It came with a salad that I’ll try tomorrow. Tonight was really about warm carbs because it’s freezing outside. We also ordered the tiramisu. It was wonderful. I only had two bites because my 7 y/o decided it was the perfect post-tonsillectomy food. I’ll probably go back tomorrow for a couple more slices for her. $ 3.25 is a fantastic price for that little slice of heaven.

Good food. Order the daily specials for a nice deal. Take out and you’ll end up with a large portion. My favorite is Thursday for the lasagna. The garlic rolls are a great complement, but the salads leave something to be desired. All in all a great find of a place for dinner… I’ll be returning here for sure.

Read the reviews and decided to try it. Esp since I had enjoyed their sicilian pizza at the Eastern location before it closed and they moved to Homewood. My guest and I were very underwhelmed. We ordered lasagna because the photos looked so good. It wasn’t as big as the pictures and Stouffer’s frozen is probably better and much cheaper. The garlic rolls were pretty good. They served me a frozen slice of cheesecake that was half the size of my guests. I don’t undestand how everyone thinks this is Great Italian food. It was okay at best. But for the price Olive Garden would have been much better.

I really love their spaghetti and meatballs. Their rolls look like cinnamon roll but they are very delicious in every bite. Plus, you get fresh pasta everyone you go there. The owner and employees are very customer courtesy at all time. Personally, it is the best pasta for a great price.

Good food… But the cashier girl is not friendly at all. Whatever happened to service with a smile. And you can hear the kitchen staff arguing in the back. But like I said the food is decent and reasonable.

Alfredo’s has been a favorite of mine for years. I’m only sad they are no longer in Crestwood. Order the Alfredo Special stuffed pizza. It’s seriously one of the best things about living in Bham. I rarely get anything else because this is just too damn good to be unfaithful to.

I’ve loved this place since it was at its original location near Irondale. Just stopped by recently for a taste of their new location, and I still love it. Calzones, pizza rolls, pizza, stuffed pizza, spaghetti, manicotti, ravioli, and pretty much everything Italian. Never had anything I didn’t like, and the price is great! Feed 2 for less than $ 20 is always a positive. And it really is great Italian, no matter what you choose.

For some reason I have had a sudden need for a good Muffaletta sandwich, and since my normal restaurant for ordering such a thing out in Bessemer can’t seem to answer the phone during posted store hours, I opted to try and find a new place. The best thing about their Muffaletta is that it isn’t oily or greasy. The bread has sesame seeds which is good for authenticity, but it seemed a little dry but not from toasting. I felt that the ratio of bread to filling was a bit high(not enough filling) but may explain why it wasn’t greasy. The olive salad topping was okay, but could have had a stronger olive flavor. The meat and cheese seemed to be okay. I’ll have to dissect the next one to see what all they put on it. For some reason this sandwich comes with french fries(as do all their sandwiches). It seems strange to me to serve any Italian style sandwich with french fries(it would be like serving a Rubin with a side of Spaghetti), but whatever. My impression: a good, solid Muffaletta. Can’t say I’m fanatical about it, but it would be a go to when having a muffaletta craving.

Alfredo’s is a good, solid place for an Italian meal. They have a nice selection of pizza, calzone, pasta dishes and sandwiches. Atmosphere is not great but there’s only so much you can do with a former Krystal. It is well maintained & very clean with a few tv’s. The food is good & seems freshly made, but nothing special. The big factor is the price. You can have a full meal here under $ 10! I had Chicken Parmesan that had a nice sized piece of chicken, side of spaghetti &2 garlic rolls for $ 6.49. Add drink & tax for $ 8.76! So a solid choice if you don’t get your expectations too high. With the price factored in this is a 4 star deal.

This place is impossible to miss from the road as it’s a stand alone building with its obnoxiously lighted sign. The interior looks rough, like it’s been a while since someone had done some maintenance. The service was great. The lady at the cashier was really patient with the customers ahead of me giving each of them specific recommendations and what she’s tried even as the customer(s) kept changing their minds. I never sensed a moment of annoyance. I ordered the 16″ half chicken pesto(grilled chicken, onion, mushroom, garlic, basil & olive oil) and half Alfredo Special(pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green olives, and green peppers). The Alfredo Special flavor triumphed over the chicken pesto. Even though these flavors had two different sauces, as long as you ask that you don’t mind them getting mixed up, they’ll do it for you. I think this place would’ve gotten 4 stars if the chicken pesto had more flavor but that may have been my fault in asking for two pizza flavors of different sauces. Refrigerator test: Alfredo Special still retains its taste. The chicken in the chicken pesto has about the same flavor as the cardboard box it came in.
