The sign on this place was Mai Fresh Fruit. But, the owners’(husband, Kenny, & wife) last names are Chau. They were friendly and great to talk to, esp since we spoke Cantonese. We were looking for exotic fruit in Chinatown. We found longans, just what we were looking for. We bought all 3 bunches left. We also picked up some mangos, ripe and very juicy. We brought back the fruits to the hotel & shared with friends. It was all very sweet. Apparently they only put out fruits that are sweet and at its ripest. It’s cash only, street parking. There are some interesting characters on the streets. But that’s to be expected in Chinatown esp near government subsidized programs.

Too many fruit stands in Chinatown now. Preferential treatment if you are Viet. Two ladies behind counter prefer to gossip loudly in Vietnamese rather than helping any new customers. Next time taking my money elsewhere.

This is my favorite bubble drink place to come to when I am in Chinatown! In fact, a trip to Chinatown without leaving with a bubble drink from here would just seem weird. I love that you can see the real fruit(as opposed to flavored powder) in the refrigerator. But the best part is the variety — they have everything from Pineapple to soursop, to durian, to chico, to avocado, to jack fruit, to strawberries and lots more — something for everyone. They even have fresh cut fruit($ 3.00 a tray) which is sitting on ice. They always have lots of different kinds of fruit — different varieties of lychee, or cherri moya, or mangosteen from Hilo, logan, rambutan, or dragon fruit. I love coming here just to see what’s in season. They are very friendly and will answer any questions you have but they are also quite busy at times so be prepared to wait in line. The line moves fast though! My favorites are the soursop, the avocado(very rich), and the pineapple. The chico bubble drink was also really good. The first time I had chico fruit was here. I love that they have fruits you might not see at the store our farmers market!

Love their sugar cane juice! They also sell yummy smoothies and fresh fruits here. This place is a must whenever you’re in Chinatown! They are located right off of hotel and Maunakea street and right in front of a bus stop too so it can get quite packed in that area.

The best Logan I’ve ever had. The rambutan was super fresh too This place has the freshest fruit in all china town. Bigger stores might have more but they are not as fresh. Decent prices too

This is my absolute favorite smoothie place in the world. The fruits are fresh and they have a wide variety. The prices are around $ 3.50 for the hugest smoothie. I think they only offer one size… huge. Service is quick. I never miss an opportunity to stop here. The fruit stand is actually on Hotel Street between Maunakea and River.

The BEST mango smoothie I have ever had in my life. They use real mango. The boba is yummy too. Once you have this mango smoothie, no other will suffice.

Had to stop for some refreshments. My wife had the pineapple smoothie with bobs and I had fresh sugar cane juice… so good… just brings me back to when I was a kid in Taiwan.

What is a chico and what is a soursop, you may ask? Well beats me, but I know it’s delicious in a smoothie. This little fruit stand whips up fresh tropical fruit smoothies. They even sell the fresh fruits there too if you want to taste the real deal. I was recommended to come here by a friend while I was vacationing in Honolulu. I’m glad I did because they made the best fresh fruit smoothie I’ve had yet. The Vietnamese ladies running the stand are super sweet and will give you suggestions on what to get if you’ve never heard of any of the fruits before. We actually came back a few times because it was so refreshing! Ever since I came back to California, I’ve been on a mission to find a Chico or Soursop smoothie. Thank goodness I live in San Jose, where there’s a large Vietnamese community! I was able to find soursop here but the smoothie is just not as good as Chau’s! I definitely suggest trying these exotic fruits while you’re in Chinatown. The only issue I found is parking in the area. You can find a lot around the corner for a few dollars…

This tiny corner stand definitely makes a buck or two because of their superb location. Located in Chinatown but right in front of one of the busiest bus stations, they are super busy! Selling fresh produce and fruit smoothies, the two girls running the place barely have any elbow room. They do sell freshly squeezed sugar cane juice($ 3.50), but we went for their pineapple smoothie($ 3) and mango smoothie($ 3.50). Lots of places in Chinatown sell fruit smoothies, so you do have your choice of pickings. Shop around for slight price differences.
