King’s Pub

This place is a low class fucking dump… And that is exact what I was expecting and looking forward to. The people that work there are doll faced sweethearts. The beer is cold and cheap! What more do you want!

Love this place. From the second we walked in we were made feel welcome by staff and regulars alike. Beer is ice cold, mixed drinks are swell made, the pizza tastes great and the prices are amazing.
Do yourself a favour and get there early for power hour, grab a table and a couple of warm up drinks then enjoy the $ 1 drinks and slices for power hour and then hang around for more drinks especially if there is live music you won’t be disappointed.
The only problem we had was we didn’t get back there enough but we will leave more time for King’s Pub next time we are in Honlolul.

Come visit us on Sundays for NFL football. We show every game starting at 8 am (door open at 730) $ 3 mimosas $ 5 breakfast sandwiches or burritos $ 3 PBR pints $ 5 longboard and big wave pints. Power hour every single day from 5−6pm ONE DOLLAR drafts, well drinks and pizza. Not many places in Waikiki where you can get a drink for a dollar :-) I’ll be there Friday 10a-​6 and Sundays 730a-​6 :-)

Was 1 of my favorite places to go, but new management came and RUINED it all., never going again!

This is a local dive bar but has so much personality.
The bar tenders are super friendly, they have great deals.
Power hour– $ 1 beers, shots, wells and pizza slice from 5−6pm. They also have free pool and amazing live music late night.
Cons– the bathroom is not located in the bar and often the men take the key to the women’s restroom.
Overall, great local place for cheap drinks.

THERES NO SOAP IN THE BATHROOM. Either of them, for months now. Yes, that means there is shit and urine on EVERYTHING in this place. The manager Debbie is a rude and tasteless human being. It smells like wet dog and homeless people and crack heads frequent the place. I will not even be dragged here for those weak little $ 1 drinks anymore.

Some of the local regulars are rough around the edges, there was even a girl playing pool in a bikini and «cover up» (totally didn’t noticed until I turned around and she was lining up a shot and… HELLO!!). Bartenders are friendly,
Pizza smelled amazing, but didn’t have any. According to reviews, they have a $ 5 pizza and beer combo. Wish I knew about it, but ask about that if you’re in the area and plan on checking it out.
Only reason why we ended up here is because it’s housed in the same building with the hotel we were at for the night. Otherwise, not a bad place, but unless I’m at the hotel again, I wouldn’t come back (or if I went to Choco House again).

Well that was fun!
Pizza: Good.
Karaōke: Fun
Booze: Good.
Its a small and divey and thats what we were looking for that night. Pizza comes with 3 toping and a beer which yay! Ours came out a bit burned but not so much I felt the need to complain. I had Vodka soda and that was nice and strong but not so bad it was too much.
All in all chill bar. Did have some guy a bit to drunk hanging out singing, not great but we just laughed at him.

This bar is horrible. You first walk in, dodging the underage hoodlums, and smack dab run into a pool table. You head to the bar to get a drink only to find out there is one bar tender, who is swamped so it takes him forever to get your order. Once you sit down and try to have a conversation some douchey owner or worker thinks people want to hear blasted music, so loud that you literally have to yell in your friends ear to talk to them. We asked him to turn it down but he completely ignored us even though it was obvious not one person in the bar wanted the music loud. We got our tab and left. Never ever try this place.

I’m just not an alcohol person so I never come to these places in the middle of the day and am barely interested in them even if I were going out at night. This pub really isn’t all that bad though.
They have house pizza, some kind of drink special at various hours of the day, the whole inside is carpeted which makes it feel really kinda cozy and relaxed and there’s multiple TV’s with different games or shows on each one. A lot of TV’s. Even though I don’t care for sports at all, I think it’s good to give this place credit for that.
I think I came around 3pm? It doesn’t really seem all that seedy or divey as others suggest. Drinks were full price when we came. Definitely worth it though if you love your alcohol. I got a long island and it was extremely strong. I had to get a coke to balance it out.
If sports bars are your thing, I definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you don’t want to deal with the stupidity of some of the customers at your typical Waikiki pubs. If you like the low key feel, and you love pizza this is the place to be.
One thing though is you kind of have to talk a bit louder than normal in there. I assume this is a trait of the whole place being carpeted? Acoustics are inhibited? But I was yapping at my friend because he pulled at my shirt – I don’t like my articles of clothing or my hair tampered with lol. At the same time, the bartender was asking for my ID, so I was yapping at my friend while I was pulling out my ID and I think maybe the bartender thought I was saying something about having to get my ID out, because I heard her apologizing and I was like… hm… why is she apologizing? If you ever read this, just know that that’s what went down lol. I hope I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable. I don’t mind getting my ID out at all, that way I still feel young lol.
All in all, it was really hard for me to rate this place. I’m trying to be considerate of what it’s supposed to be and who it’s supposed to serve, but quite frankly, i’m not one of those people in it’s normal customer profile. I was back and forth about giving it a three or four. I started off with three, but after writing and see how nothing was really wrong with my visit and seeing how it’d probably be great for other more sporty people, I gave it a four.
If you’re interested in why I can’t just do bars… it’s because I don’t understand how having a drink of alcohol at a bar is enjoying oneself when you could just go home and kick back and drink for a fraction of the cost in twice the comfort. Want to meet up with friends? Meet up at someone’s place, kick back and drink lol. I guess for a lot of people though, being in public and is a huge factor in what they deem «enjoying oneself» when they drink. Even if the pub or bar is practically empty, they still find value in going for a beer or crown n coke. It’s just not me… and that’s the basis by which reviewing a bar or pub is quite difficult for me.
Hope this helped anyone considering a place to have a comfortable drink while it’s still daylight out. If I ever come back at night, I’ll add to my review.

This is a great neighborhood bar. Friendly staff, cheap & strong drinks, and the pizza is ono!
Power hour can get a little crazy but for $ 1 drinks that’s no surprise.
There is new management but I haven’t noticed any major changes just yet. I hope they don’t f up the goodness.

Kings pub is the best bar is Waikiki to hang out and have a good time. Always has good music, karaōke on the weekend is awesome! Great staff that gets to know people that frequent the bar. Plenty if room to bring friends and have a good time.

We’ve been here a few rimes when we stayed at the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel. They gave us ice. So we decided to get some drinks after. We got there special. $ 5 for a tall bear on tap (our choice from 2kinds at that time) and a huge slice of pizza that was sliced into 2 good size slices. It was a thin crust with huge pepperonis covering it. Also, i think they gave us 1 refill of beer too. So for 5 $ + tip I got 2 beers and 2 slices. Yumm!
I can’t wait to go back.
This was back in 2011. So maybe they dont have it no more. I hope so though, it was good! I had it for lunch 2 times. Every time we’ve been there they’ve been nice. Casual atmosphere. No one really in there the few times we were there. I’d say 5 other ppl besides us and the bartender. I wish I could remember her name. She was really cool.

Don’t come to King’s looking for fancy cocktails, blended frozen mini umbrella drinks, or VIP table service… It’s a cozy dive bar with friendly bartenders, door guys, cooks, musicians, and fellow bar go-​ers! Don’t get me wrong, you could order whatever and they’ll make it, but a frothy ice cold glass of beer is my go to drink here.
They have nightly drink specials as well as a daily «Power Hour» happy hour… 1 – 2 Dollar beers, shots, pizza, and more!
Bud light, Primo, PBR, Big Wave, and Longboard on tap, everything else they have bottles. The pizzas are amazing and my friends and I drool just thinking about it. Garlic cheese bread is also a winner!
Live music everyday with alternating bands/​musicians who are all super nice and talented. Karaōke Friday nights for all you singers/​rappers out there!
Pool table at the entrance, plenty of seats at the bar, plenty of tables, a jukebox, 4 flat screen tvs, and one of those 25 cent video game machines at the end of the bar… All they need is darts and I’d be over the moon!
All in all this place is great to relax, get boozy, and have fun with friends or make new ones at the bar! And as always, don’t forget to tip your bartenders!

Live music, inexpensive booze, and highly loaded carb food equals good times, but regret later!
