Bad service. In addition to being slow when the place is pretty empty, they just aren’t that pleasant to be around– seems like they don’t like being there which makes me not want to be there either. One bartender spilled a drink on me and didn’t even apologize! I was soaked in whiskey. It wasn’t even my drink. On the plus side, their whiskey selection really is incredible and they played great music! The venue is nice and open. Bad service can really mess up everything though

Our favorite drinking spot! The bartenders are great. They create drinks to your taste. One of the bartenders made me a Lia drink, created just for me and named after my daughter. It is my favorite drink. Although we try different bars(at least two when we go out), we always return to Manifest as one of them.

Um. Hello, my favorite China Town spot. Dog friendly, locals, regulars, yummy everything. The coffee is amazing(lattes and cappuccinos on point). The liquor is legit and fairly priced. Happy hour is 5−7pm and trivia/taco Tuesday’s. Perfection. The staff and bartenders are fabulous(we know most of them by name) and the manager usually stops in, even when he’s not working. The atmosphere is trendy/industrial. Artistic and classy. The old fashions are delightful. Parking can be tricky but remember: after 6pm Mon-Sat is free and all day Sunday’s/Holidays free. Come enjoy and support local business!

Decent dirty chai but location location location. It’s probably a cooler bar to come to at night but during the day the location is rather dead. The barista/bartender was also not very friendly. Sorry I’m a tourist ok?

4 stars for quality of drinks. 2 stars for my most recent visit and the customer service I received from one of their workers. I’ve frequented this place both during the day for great espresso(hands down the only espresso drink to order here is their Iced Dirty Chai!) and also after work for their famous cocktails. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon with a friend after raving about their dirty chai. We entered and there was only 1 other customer sitting against the wall with her coffee drink. There were 2 workers(both females whom I’ve ordered from before) sitting at the end of the bar table working on a laptop. The older lady looked up with an irritated look as if we were an inconvenience to her. She walked over to the espresso machine and as my friend and I were discussing what to order and smelling the tea leaves they have on the counter, she turns to us and in the most unpleasant way asked us «Are you ready to order?». I replied that I’ll have a dirty chai but my friend is still deciding on a tea but thank you. We got our drinks from her, but no smile, no thank you no hope you enjoy your drinks and have a good day. Seriously, I love this place for the quality drinks and cool décor, but if the next time I stop by and get this kind of bad attitude and service, I’ll have to sacrifice a good dirty chai and avoid coming here all together.(From my first visit to Manifest, I’ve highly recommended them and brought at least 10 – 12 of my friends here on several occasions. If the customer service from that one worker doesn’t improve, I’ll have to let my friends know they should find another place for good coffee and drinks)

Lovely atmosphere. I love the industrial but homey feel. The bar tender/barista was very sweet and attentive to every customer. She was quick to take and fill orders as well as check in. I ordered an iced dirty chai. Very smooth and clean tasting. Also, the coffee is about the same price as your average coffee house. Very charming place and I will be back for sure!

Recently went to see a photography showing being held at Manifest. My first time there, show turn out and artists work were tastefully displayed and show was awesome. BUT a few days later some of the photos were pushed in or had fallen off the wall and there was an original contact sheet stolen they didn’t even know about until the photographer noticed and asked about it. Staffs only explanation was that they were ‘busy’. Disappointed I can’t give higher rating based on this and wish I’d be able to say I’d recommend this place but I don’t. Besides this incident, their location is also in the shadier part of town, street parking is scarce and establishment is basically two hallways split up by a wall in between and a bar on each side with obviously inattentive staff.

I have spent a great deal of my life in Cafes. I lived three blocks from Café Borgia in Greenwich Village and above The Orbit Room in San Francisco. In Key West, Square One was my outdoor living room. Every corner of every block in Paris had a chair with my name on it, and every visit to a new city came with the first chore of finding my «spot» to drink the Joe, but also to write, outwindowgaze, people watch and music dream. It took me two years to find Manifest. Every choice here is right. The art is real, the music eclectic and unpretentious, the service friendly and warm and a Frenchman from the Rive Gauche or a Ventian on The Grand Canal would, grudgingly, perhaps, compliment the espresso as one of the best expressions the coffee bean is capable of. Big windows overlooking an old strip joint sign and a dazzling array of passersby gives one the feel of The East Village in NYC before the Mercedes Benz crowd took over. I have found a corner here in Hawaii where I feel unrushed and at home. One more reason to kiss the rest of the world goodbye.

Did anyone know this place has a coffee bar? We now they are well known for their regular bar and fantastic mixologists there. But I would like to let everyone know about the amazing coffee. I stumbled across this one day when I was walking by. I asked the barista what she suggested and she offered an iced dirty chai. Now this soon became my all time favorite here. Its an amazing blend of chai and espresso with milk. The chai was so different than others I’ve tried. Perfect mixture of everything in one cup. Not for the caffeine virgins of course. There are many other options to choose there from lattes, specialty teas, espresso, etc. Plus you can bring a book and chill. See this bar in a different light during the daytime.

MOSCOWMULE! the end! lol jk. Serious note though, Moscow mule is the bomb. I didn’t know about this drink till I was here at 6pm on a Friday with my friends. Looking at the cocktail special menu and saw this… Ginger beer got me curious. It comes in a copper cup keeping the drink cold! Man this drink is ADDICTING. excuse me alcoholic talking here haha. I’ve been here for a college poetry meet and even late night clubbing. This place is good any time of the day. They don’t have cover for all you weekend party go-ers. First Friday may be a different story.(don’t count on me for this). The décor here gives me a hipsters vibe but hey I’m a girl who loves San Francisco. I could be a little biased. I’ve noticed the bar in the back has bikes hanging on the ceiling. Cool Idea! If you’re in downtown for first Friday’s or even a place to chill with friends. I totally recommend here. The place does get crowded and dance floor is small.

If I could give half stars. I would give this place 3.5. I came here after reading the raving reviews for the Iced Dirty Chai. I’m sorry to say, but I didn’t taste any Chai spice at all. It was purely an iced coffee and man was that java like crack. I was awake for the next 2 days! I am very sensitive to caffeine, thinking I was able to handle it(I’ve had Chai Lattes before and was able to sleep well), but I was so wired off this drink. Don’t get me wrong, it was a delicious beverage, but it’s not a chai drink. I also love the ambience, it’s very San Francisco. I will need to come back to have happy hour, but I need to stay away from the caffeine(unless I need to pull an all-nighter).

First time ever being here, & I only dropped by because it was one of the few bars around the area that was open early on Cinco de Mayo. My first thought of this place was: Really small & dark inside, but kind of cool. I ordered the Manifest taco special(3 taco’s with choice of meat for $ 8) + I ordered a Corona. The taco’s… Lemme just say that they we’re REALLY good! The steak & chicken was great. The pork not as much, but 2 for 3? I’ll take that! Sooo, basically… 3 taco’s & a corona came out to $ 12. Not bad, not bad. Also, the bartender that night’s name was Warren. Really nice guy! P. S. my friend ordered the raspberry Yule drink which comes in a really Harry potter like cup(lol idk how else to describe it), & it was amaaaaazing! Your taste buds will think«raspberry juice», but common sense will soon kick in & tell you this one’s a creeper! LOVEDIT! They have sliders & a few other drinks I’d like to come back to try, so be on the look out for an updated review!

My husband I came here just for the coffee. I knew he wanted to look at their whisky menu but we’ll do it next time. The barista was very nice and the place was clean. My husband got a double espresso and I got a small iced latte. It was good and I would totally get it again.

I love manifest! We actually just started going to first fridays and our go-to spot is Manifest. Love their music selection and the bar gets crowded fast. There’s limited seating available since they open up the dance floor. The staff are super friendly and it’s a diverse group of people. I’ve never been here during the day or for pau hana, but I should probably check it out.

Dirty chai lattes and lilikoi goat cheese toast?! I’m sold! Their dirty chai lattes is the best I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, not too much espresso… Just right. This cute café by day reminds me of a hipster coffee shop in LA or Seattle. If you’re looking for a place to study in downtown during the day, this is the place for you. It’s usually pretty empty, free wifi, and have power cords for your laptops. Happy coffee drinking!

This is where all the hipsters and cool kids go. It’s in the now trendy and happening area of downtown next to Downbeat. This place is usually crowded on First Friday. Generally tho, the place is pretty spacious and I like its design with the high ceilings and the brick wall. I’ve heard they have trivia night too, which must be pretty fun. They have a huge board of whiskey and scotch selections. But they have other adult drinks too. They make a pretty mean Moscow Mule here. It can get packed really fast. You can always venture down to the secret room where there is another bar to getaway. There’s also a live DJ on the weekends so you can dance the night away and manifest yo self!

My review is based solely on a Saturday night when it was popping off. I am from out of town and I was looking for a place to dance. But I also didn’t want to be hanging out with tourists sipping piña coladas on the beach and seeing that particular version of getting turnt up. Electric slide and such. I’m wearing a Tupac shirt, so that wasn’t going to be my scene that night. I got in there around 12:45AM, drawn in by the DJ and made our way to the busy floor. At the time, it was perfect as we had enough room to dance. Then that near-closing-time panic started to hit some dudes that were looking for love and it became unbearable. No room as these guys weren’t really dancing, just taking up space and staring at the women folk creepily. This left only room to shuffle which really cut into my space to do the Bernie. When that happens, you got to goooo.
