What I ordered chicken Satay– It was rubber. Druken Noodles: Oil and overcooked noodles. I asked why the gallon of oil on my noodles her response«we are busy, he make too fast» I didn’t touch it, did she ask to remake it? No to take it off the bill no. I’m sorry but this place is nasty. I’m annoyed because I’m soooooo hungry

I go there at least once or twice a month and their food is always flavorful and fresh. It’s a nice little restaurant tucked away on the second floor of ABC store on Lewers. The servers are not engaging but their food makes up for it. Try to come here for lunch or dinner during off-peak hours(before 5pm and after 8pm) and it won’t be too crowded, and the food does take a while and I have noticed the time to get your food when they’re busy and when they’re not are pretty much the same. Also, the spicy levels can vary so I would adjust it accordingly, but overall this is one of the best Thai food I’ve tried in Waikiki area.

Overall: I will return. Quality of food(taste and freshness): 8⁄10 Service: 8⁄10 Price: 6⁄10(it’s expensive but not crazy) Ambiance: 6⁄10 Review: I walked in at 9:29, waiter took my order at 9:32, food was on the table at 9:38. I’m pleased with the service and the food quality. Ordered the pork pineapple curry. Pork chunks were only a touch chewy, but good. Asked for hot(spicy) food and got edible curry. It was hot and my nose started to feel the effects of the spice, but it was good. To qualify: I like hot peppers. The food was less spicy than eating a serrano pepper. Water was refilled(twice) at half glass level without asking, and I was asked if everything was okay. My only real point of contention was the rice. I was asked if I wanted rice with my curry. I was also charged $ 2 for a man’s fist-sized white rice ball to accompany my large portion of curry. I feel like this is a mistake. No harm in asking for one’s appetite regarding rice, but it should not be charged for. Ultimately, it’s Waikiki. I walked in from my hotel and got good curry without alcohol for $ 18 with greater than 20% tip and about a cup of curry left over to take home. I will return to this restaurant.

I was visiting Honolulu with my family and this was the best rated Thai restaurant in Waikiki so we decided to give it a shot. We got to the restaurant only to be greeted with a 15 min wait and an extremely rude hostess. We were instructed we couldn’t wait for our table inside the restaurant and had to wait out side and after about 45 min we still didn’t have a table when I went inside inquiring about our table I noticed at least 3 empty tables. After a long and needless wait we got our table and the food made all that wait worth it. THEFOODISAMAZINGEVENTHOUGHTHESERVICEISNOT!!! If you are a fan of good Thai food I would recommend just make sure you go early!!!

I used to really like this place. But, that was 2 years ago. Things change. Food was cold. Service was lousy. Not impressed with anything about this place anymore. And I stood, by the kitchen while I was waiting and it did not look very clean to me.

Food is pretty good service kinda slow. I ordered the Thai phở with shrimp. Pretty good and flavorful. My friend ordered the chicken curry I thought the rice was stale and his curry just didn’t look appealing to me. The service is slow. It took the waitress a while to bring utensils and also the bill when while the place was still empty.

Off the beaten path of Waikiki which is a plus. My pad Thai was good but not amazing. Pineapple curry was good but they didn’t make it as spicy as requested. Not a bad choice when stuck down in this area but I’d probably try another Thai place down here next time.

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Honolulu then this is the place to go! This is one of those hidden gourmet spots that you won’t want to miss. This place really satisfied my Thai cravings. The service was okay but the food made up for it. My family and I ordered: –YELLOWCURRY –SUMMERROLLS –THAI-STYLEDFRIEDRICEWITHBASIL(if you want this one, make sure to emphasize«with basil» because this is a separate entrée from the THAI-STYLEDFRIEDRICE) –BASILSTIR-FRY *Caution* Medium spicy = REALLY spicy! If you aren’t very good with spicy foods, consider ordering mild because they won’t let you refund if the dish is too spicy for you to eat.

We came at 10 pm and they were nice to take us in for last call! The service was respectful and speedy. The food was amazing because it was not too oily, not too salty, and not too overpoweringly spicy. The portions were a little more than average which I loved especially in such a touristy area. I would definitely come every time I crave good Thai food.

The food was excellent. It was hard to keep track of who our server actually was because several came by except for when we were ready for our check. I like that it’s a little off the beaten path away from the tourist hustle and bustle.

I was left craving for a good Thai food after my visit to Keoni by Keo restaurant on 9÷6÷2015. See my review of that restaurant for«eaters beware!» Siam square is a really good Thai restaurant close to Waikiki. It’s worth the 12 minute walk from my hotel at the Hilton Waikiki Beach! The Tom yum is excellent! It has all the flavors I was expecting. I had the seafood salad that is packed with large shrimps, squid and I think some clams. I also had the fried rolls(forgot the name). For one person, these choices are a big dinner so needless to say I took home some left over. I’m going to ask my hotel if they can heat up my Tom Yum leftover for dinner tomorrow. Haha. I’m so glad I found this place… and the price is reasonable compared to that so-called Thai restaurant below the ohana east. You must visit Siam Square if you like Thai Food.

When you’re walking around Honolulu at night looking for a Thai spot, then finding yourself at Siam Square is a good thing. The place is on the 2nd floor, and is unpretentious. It may look like a tourist trap, seeing as its above an ABC store, but trust me, it is legit, Mr and Mrs Tourist. Because I’ve never tried it, the green curry was ordered, along with brown rice. Once it arrived, and my curry professional plated it for me, I dug in with my chop sticks. I dont know if it was the heat wave, or the high methane content of my shared hostel room, but time felt like it paused for a moment, as the nuttiness of the rice danced with the delicious aroma and coconut’y spice, all the way down my esophageal into my duodenum. Props, Siam Square… you got mad street cred

Every time we are in Waikiki, we come here. It is a little hole in the wall place with maybe 15 tables located above a convenience store. The food is good, cheap and you better come hungry because the servings are huge! We were on our way to a well-known Thai restaurant when a local told us about this restaurant and we sure are glad she did!!! We have tried a variety of dishes over the years and have yet to order something we didn’t like.

This place as the Unilocal reviews advertise. This place is one of the first places we stopped by in Oahu for dinner. This particular restaurant serves very traditional thai cuisine. This restaurant sits on top of an ABC store. The entrance is actually around the corner. There’s a stair that has the menu in a display at the bottom of the stairs. You won’t miss it. As you enter, be sure to dress lightly if it’s a warm day. The A/C here won’t save you. It gets quite hot up here. I guess you can order spicier food so the sweat cools you down. This restaurant is quite small. As you enter, they have a L shaped bar that separates the sitting area and the kitchen. There are windows around the whole dining room covered with neon signs and advertisement. The restaurant is rather open. As for the food. I ordered the glass noddle dish(Yum Woon Sen). The dish was tasty. It was sweet, salty and wasn’t spicy at all. I asked for mild. The glass noodles are thin and were stir-fried with tomatoes, cucumbers and bell peppers. With the dish you have choice of chicken, beef or shrimp. My wife got the yellow curry. The curry is delicious and fragrant. It’s got a nice thicker consistency that i like. It’s not like a soup. It’s been cooked down slightly; you can tell it’s been cooked with coconut milk and the meat. It was delicious! They also offer the option of topping with with brown rice. The rice is an 2.00. Which is a bit exorbitant. Service was acceptable. It was not bad or great. Nothing stuck out except it took her a while to get us a box and to get checked out. Overall, would this place is awesome. We ended up having leftovers and were able to make another meal out of it.

I live in Ewa Beach and work in Waikiki. I have eaten Thai food in 20 countries(never been to Thailand though) and in at least 20 states. I’ve eaten Thai food in a dozen places on Oahu. This place ranks in the lower 10% in each group. It is not terrible but it is certainly not special. It is located on the second floor of an old apartment building that has been converted to commercial spaces. The place is old and tired and not especially clean. The windows were dirty and had kids finger prints all over them. The menus are old plastic, torn and a bit sticky. Also no music or any background noise. Just the conversation of the three tables of Japanese tourists to break the silence. There was a sign taped onto each menu that read«be careful of how spicy you order your food, we will not refund for food being too spicy.» So I guess if you don’t like the food you are stuck. Would that issue be better left for the waitress to explain? But she was not much of a talker. She came to my table and stood with her pad without saying a word. I asked if they used white meat chicken and her one word response was, «Brown.» I then said I would have drunken noodles with pork and she picked up my menu and started to walk away. I called her back to order a beer. She brought the bottle of beer quickly and sat it in front of me with out a word or a glass. I guess the expectation is the you drink from the bottle. The food was OK. I added a picture of my meal. Nothing wrong with it but certainly nothing special. It lacked spice, the noodles were slightly over cooked and the sauce was a bit heavy. It was OK. Keoni’s is better and there is much better elsewhere on the island.

Since discovering Siam Square last year, this has become our go to place each time we come to Honolulu. Our hotel, which has a complete kitchen, is just a few blocks away so we usually come the day after arrival, have lunch and order extra dishes to snack on throughout the week. The first time we came we should’ve really heed warning to their note on the menu(and we like spicy). We got medium and it was way too hot. Their spicy level is thai standards, not American standards. So if you typically like medium, I’d suggest ordering one medium and the rest mild and it’ll pack a nice flavor without setting your mouth on fire! We’ve liked almost everything we’ve ever ordered. They have a very authentic pad thai which we ordered both times. We weren’t as crazy about their chicken larb(too sour and it overwhelms the other dishes) or their drunken noodles, but everything else was really good. The yellow curry was great(nice thicker consistency. Nothing worse than watery curry) and so was the spicy basil and prig kris(ginger green bean dish). Friendly service, immediate seating and not crowded at lunch and overall very flavorful. Our dishes piled up on the table was the only thing I’d say they should clear them during meal not leave it. But other than that, we really like the food. And the waitress is super sweet. We’ll definitely be back!
