It’s been four months and I feel I owe it to others to share my experience. A new job has me standing and walking on a cement floor for eight hours a day. During one unrelated Dr’s app I share my pain and he suggested Dansko brand shoes. When I went to the store and explained the situation the woman did some evaluation of my feet before bringing out the shoes. When she brought out the Dansko clog shoes she also brought out Abeo inserts. My first thought was, «so you’re telling me the shoes aren’t good enough so I need to purchase inserts as well». I said no to the inserts and bought the shoes. They offered some relief, but not 100%. I went back and bought the $ 79 inserts and that really did make a big difference. I’ve been using the inserts in my regular walking shoes for work and it’s been a huge relief. Bottom line is I didn’t need new shoes, just the inserts.

Let me start that I hate giving terrible reviews. But I hate terrible service as well. The Kahala location seems to offer selected type of service. The elderly lady being fitted next to me was offered what I considered good service. I had the lady who seemed to offer a very limited, close to not interested degree of service. I would rather purchase shoes locally but I guess I’ll purchase them online with a glass of wine.

Summary: this is not a shoe store. It is a shoe style showroom. I must agree with some other reviews about the kahala location of this otherwise good retail chain. The kahala location is almost useless — three times in the past year i went in to buy shoes(very common mens size 9) and three times they did not stock my size of the shoe, yet they had it displayed on the wall. Happened again today. Why do they not stock common sizes of shoes they display? Im not the only reviewer to notice this. Plus one star because they are a brick n mortar location i can go to to check out styles, before ordering online from Amazon, or from Ala Moana. I want to buy shoes here, but the store makes that impossible.

Happy to see walking company store at kahala mall, though they have been there for a couple of years already we usually go to the ala moana store. Had to order a sandal that they don’t have in store. Waited a week, unluckily it went to the ala moana store. They were asking me where I would like to pick up my sandals, duh, I was thinking since I ordered from your store for a reason I should pick it up from your store, waited another week for them to pick up my order from ala moana but what really ticked me was that the day I picked up my sandals they were giving me a hard time like I need to come back because their manager the lady that called me telling me that my order is ready is in a meeting, duh. The workers from this store badly needs a good customer service training.

Very pricey but comfort and durability is key at this place. Awesome intimate service, technology is great! You have to buy a sole insert 25 dollars a pop but your legs/back and feet will thank you! Free shoe horn!

Out of 3 Walking Co in Honolulu, we shop at Ala Moana Center branch the most, but we shop here as well. We usually find shoes that we like. Consistent good customer service with great knowledge. Always helpful.

The manager of the store did contact me to see if I can bring in the slippers to see the problem. By then, I had thrown them away. He offered me a small store credit. I appreciate the gesture and follow up.
