Uehara Jill DMD

I’ve been to five dentists over the past twenty years and Dr. Uehara is by far the best I’ve been to!
Dr. Uehara — She’s very friendly and really cares about her patients well-​being. She uses extra care when applying the anesthetic… maybe a little too cautious since I felt like my ear was going numb too, but then again, I’d rather have too much vs. too little when it comes to painkillers. She’s very efficient and precise when it comes to fillings. With previous dentists, I’d usually need to go back because the filling would be too high and be painful when I bite down. I’ve had three fillings done by Dr. Uehara and have never had to return for corrections.
Staff — Her office staff is professional and courteous. They provide pre-​treatment estimates so patients aren’t shocked when they see the bill for services.
Office Location & Parking — Location is great because I can go shopping at Ala Moana before and after my appointment. I usually never have issues finding parking since her building is attached to the mall and I just park at the mall.
Wait Times — Almost none. When I arrive, I usually walk right in (unless I arrive early, which is rare).

I usually HATE the dentist. Not to say that I love going now, not by any means, but Dr. Jill has made it a much less stressful experience. She is kind, friendly and patient, and will do only the work that needs to be done when it needs to be done. She does great work, and is always careful. I have had some pretty horrible dental experiences in the past, but Dr. Jill really has turned me around. I don’t know what I would do if I ever had to find a new dentist!
One note: Do be on time and keep your appointments. They are a very busy office, and they may not be able to keep your appointment if you are late. If you have to cancel three appointments (on the day you’re supposed to go in) you may not be able to return.
