Very disappointed food was over priced and not good at all. Very poor flavor in both of the appetizers I tried, pretty sure the food made me sick as well. Bright side was they did have good customer service. However, I came to pay for decent food not make new friends at the restaurant.

Tonight our family celebrated our son’s birthday at Vit’s. We were looking for a place that had steak dinner that was not«ala carte» as many are these days. Although seeing such mixed reviews here on Unilocal we wanted to try it out ourselves. It was a good choice. We were greeted upon arrival and seated right away. Our friendly server told us about two specials then answered our questions about the types/sizes of their steaks. My husband and son enjoyed the steak & shrimp special. I chose the top sirloin, my daughter had the pasta. My husband and son said the shrimp were cooked just right as well as the juicy steaks. My steak was the best I have had in a long time. My baked potato was perfectly soft and the skin tender with lots of sour cream and bacon. My daughter finished her pasta and was eating off of my plate as well! Our waitress refilled our water and brought my son a special dessert for his Birthday too! I had some steak to take home and asked to have it boxed. We left to walk around Waikiki and I realized I forgot my box. Before returning to our car I returned to Vi’s. Our waitress had saved it in case we came back. I will come back again for the food & the service!

Vit’s is literally right across the street from Luana. We had a long flight from Seattle to Honolulu and wanted a quick bite to eat. My first impression was that they didn’t have many servers and on top of that, the servers didn’t look too happy with their job. The quality of their food would have to be 2 stars. Their steak was chewy, garlic shrimp didn’t taste like garlic shrimp and my Alfredo sauce tasted like they dumped the whole jar of sugar into there. The most freshest thing I ate during my visit here, was the lobster chunks in my lobster fettuccine. Price is definitely not reasonable for the quality of their food and sad looking servers. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. #overpriced #suckyquality

Great food and excellent service. We found this place by just walking by and thought we’d give it a try for dinner. So glad we did! The Mai Tai was awesome to start. We had the Thai curry chicken and it was so tasty! Our server was friendly and attentive. We sat outside which was really nice and surprisingly quiet. I will definitely be going back.

Breakfast is tasty. Potatoes and Portugeuse were yummy. This is the closest place to my parent’s condo in Waikiki. I was in a rush to go to the airport. I paid and tipped in cash in advance and my breakfast was on the table when I got back from washing my hands in the bathroom.

Came here for a friend’s birthday. I ordered a steak sandwich which was $ 16.96. It was good but not with that much. Others in the party ordered steak entrée and one of them even came out spoiled! It smelled awful! And they asked for medium well and the steaks were pretty rare… They were willing to give new steaks but it took 30 minutes to come out and one of the lobsters never even came back out because they forgot. It was an awful experience for all of us. Our server was patient and helpful which is why I gave the place an extra one star or else it would have just been one. Oh and another thing, another server was raising her voice at another table. The table looked to be Japanese tourists and could hardly speak English and from what we heard they brought out the wrong dish so the table was complaining. But that also doesn’t give the server the right to raise her voice at them. And whenever she would pass by she would give the meanest look like«get out of my way» kind of look. I wouldn’t come back here. Food is sub par, overpriced and the cooking is terrible. I’m glad our server was nice because the other one was rude.

Came here for a friend’s birthday because she loves steak. We arrived around 8pm and the place was empty. Should have taken that as a sign to turn around and go somewhere else. Most of us ordered the combination of their specialty Hawaiian Ono Steak and lobster. Sounded good on the menu. When our food arrived, they didn’t cook our steak like we wanted. Some of us ordered medium well but was given medium rare. One of the steak was spoiled. It had this really sour and disgusting smell. We talked to the manager and was given another steak but it took them 30 minutes and they also forgot another order. Overall, we were all unhappy with food quality and service. They didn’t apologize for the inconvenience and didn’t even offer any percentage off or anything to make it up. If you are looking for some good steak, this place is NOT it.

Went for breakfast, it was very good & reasonably priced. The table had the daily special omelette, the early bird special, and corned beef hash. Everything was tasty and we all left full. We are outside on their beautiful, well landscaped patio.

They have huge Mimosas and the food is good. I have been there a couple times already and every time I get good service. The prices are kind of high but it is in Waikiki. what isnt expensive in Waikiki. Worth it though!

Had the Ono Steak dinners last night. And for breakfast, I had the Big Kahuna, and my wife had breakfast croissant w/ham breakfast. All were great. They were even nice to expedite our morning order, cause we had a tour bus to catch. Wendy, our waitress was even nice enough to fill my water bottle w/their nice chilled water! Thx Wendy!

Staying here at Maile Sky Court so we had to try some in house food. Eggs benedict was ok, not bad, but not outstanding. The hollandaise tasted pretty good and it was filling. It came with home fries which were sadly soft. Flavor was ok but it still didn’t make up for being soft. Our waitress was nice and the coffee was smooth and constantly topped off, so kudos to the great service. I’d recommend Vit’s for anyone looking for a diner style place with alcohol options.

We have only come here for breakfast while on vacations. You are seated right away as there is never a wait. The service was good and the food comes quickly and hot off the grill. The prices are average but it is a great way to get breakfast in fast and start your day! I haven’t been here for lunch or dinner so I cannot comment on that.

We stayed at the hotel right above this restaurant. We pretty much had most of our meals here the entire time we were in Waikiki, especially at brunch time. The service was friendly and attentive and the food served in ample portions were delicious.

My friends were visiting from Japan and asked me for some recommendations for amazing steak houses in Honolulu. I hinted towards Hy’s and Ruth Chris and even BLT… We ended up going to Vit’s Hawaiian Steak House because my friend saw a post about their restaurant on a Japanese blog and it sparked her interest. I’ve literally never heard of this place before. Located in Maile Sky Court Hotel where the old T.G.I.F.‘s used to be. Parking is available either in the hotel’s garage(with validation at the restaurant) or on the street. I called ahead in case we needed to make a reservation and was told that it wasn’t necessary. I understand why… The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in at around 7:30PM and I was starting to worry about the quality of the service and food. We all ordered individual steak dishes, but I’ll only talk about my order and the overall experience. I ordered their specialty Hawaiian Ono Steak. The menu states that the Hawaiian Ono Steak is «Vit’s special top sirloin steak, marinated overnight in our own blend of red wine, soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar and lemon to produce a more tender and flavorful steak.» I enjoyed my steak, but it didn’t wow me or make me want to come back anytime soon. I did end up using a lot of pepper and salt to counteract the sweet taste from what I can assume is the red wine and sugar combination. The service was okay, but considering that we were one of few parties in the restaurant, I felt that we weren’t tended to as well as we should have been. After our orders were taken and our waters were dropped, the server only came back to deliver our food and take the plates away. Our waters were refilled occasionally, but nobody checked up on how we were doing or if we wanted any dessert or the check. As we were leaving, a different server said«byeeeeeee» in a monotonic voice that I didn’t think was professional. It made me consider whether she really wanted to see us there and/or if she was glad that we finished our meal and were on our way out. What a letdown.
