Started out with the garlic knots. This is a must order. Very reasonable for a large order of buttery and garlic knots. Pizza was good. Nothing great but good. Also had an order of boneless wings. Nice size wings again at a reasonable price. Nice service. We were asked if we wanted anything specific on one of the tvs while we were there. Convenient to us. We will be back.

This place is great, found it on Unilocal. We are not from the area so this was a great find. Garlic knots my kids gobbled up and they don’t eat anything. Beer is cold and cheap. Pizza is a little pricey, but the quality is great lots of toppings. Good size too. Very nice place.

We love Brianna. Good food and good service. The Carbonara Rosa is just the right amount of spice and very filling. Shareable.

Kept hearing about these knots so we went to Johnny Brusco’s one Sunday afternoon. Meh. They weren’t bad but they needed way more garlic. If the flavor is in the name of a menu item shouldn’t it taste like it? I bet they are really good of they would give you garlicky butter dipping sauce. I have high standards for pizza. Thick or thin if you use fresh ingredients, have a good sauce and use quality cheese and dough you will make a very good pizza. I’m not 100% where Johnny’s fails in that ingredient list but their pizza won’t make you give up competitors pizza and in spots makes me long for them. It is right in that middle of the road pizza joint demographic. It is pizza so it has to work to be bad and it isn’t bad. It also isn’t a threat to the quality pizza places in Hoover.

Great pizza, but, Man! I feel like a pay 20 – 25 person here. Needs to be more reasonable before I make this my frequent pizza spot.

The Unilocal default description of a 2-star place says it best-«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» I mean, the pizza was fine, I guess, but even with the coupon we had, it was definitely not worth the money. I will get Domino’s before I will consider this again. Now, I have to say, this is based solely on one experience, and I didn’t try the(apparently delish) garlic knots, so we may give it another shot eventually, but we are certainly in no hurry. The service was average counter service as well. Wish I could jump on the bandwagon, but I just can’t.

This is one of my favorite pizza places in hoover. We never dine in and usually get it to go. The pizza is absolutely delicious. Remind me more or NY style. I like that its not saucy nor greasy! I do feel its a bit pricey but I guess what they say is true… you get what you pay for. I usually order the vegetarian. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. It is cooked to perfection. Great joint for dine in or to go.

I absolutely love this place! Been to eat here now a few times and it is always good. Love the spaghetti and meatballs. Love the garlic knots too. If you haven’t been here you should give it a try.

Absolutely a delicious meal experience! Our son wanted pizza and hubby found this place on his phone, since it happened to be near where we were at, following a long day in the Birmingham area. We happily shared their scrumptious Garlic Knots with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce for our appetizer; they were superb! Even though I didn’t finish my dish at the restaurant, I truly enjoyed their Manhattan Garden entrée; it was a pasta dish full of veggies, with a «small»(bigger than average) garden salad, and garlic bread… brought the leftovers home to enjoy for lunch, tomorrow! Hubby devoured his calzone that was packed to the gills with the toppings he chose! Our son was excited about the 3 Meatball with Mozzarella Cheese dish on the kid’s menu; he actually ranked their meatballs as his second favorite all-time meatballs(restaurant makes them homemade), right behind mine! We would definitely recommend and return to Johnny Brusco Pizza!!!

we had a house full of people over Thanksgiving I had no idea what to get for dinner one night. We tried Johnny Brusco’s for the first time and it was a huge hit!!! Seriously good pizza. So good, we actually ordered it a second time. We ordered pizzas and garlic knots. The pizza was great — tasty sauce and really good chewy crust. The garlic knots were amazing too — make sure you order them! We’ll be regular customers at this place now!

I would have to say that this is my favorite pizza place to go in and sit and eat at. The pizza is very good especially at such low prices. The wait staff is always nice and remembers my boyfriend and I. Also, I do have to mention that considering most places in the area don’t do thin crust pizza well(at all) this is especially wonderful coming here and having a crowd free environment where we can get pizza by the slice or a whole pie if we want. So I would highly recommend this place as a great«quick» lunch or dinner option! Also, it’s never really crowded at rush times so you don’t have to worry about crowds. Even if it is particularly busy, they have plenty of seating both indoors and out so that’s another plus! Enjoy and happy pizza eating!

Looking through the coupon book my child made me purchase I ran across Johnny Brusco’s. Had success with Marco’s flipping thru the same coupon book figured why not give Johnny’s a try. The people there were nice. Our order was given to us promptly. The meat pizza was ok… The garlic knots were good… The Great White Pizza was probably the most poorly executed white pizza I’ve ever received. I’m embarrassed for the people who served it to me. It was absolute garbage. There is a large menu and I may possibly be persuaded to give the establishment another try because they were nice but it will not be my first, second or even my third choice. The place was virtually empty on a friday night around 7:30 at night, that was my first warning.

Pizza was good but didn’t blow my mind. Wasn’t «best pizza ever!!» type of pizza. We got a pizza and their garlic knots, which were amazing. We got it to go and glad we did. There was a huge line of people waiting for a table when we went to pick it up and inside seemed crazy. Very loud, very hectic, very overwhelmed looking staff!(All could be a good thing!) Would eat here again for sure.

The waitress is not at all friendly. I smiled & talked to her nicely, but she didn’t show that she cared! It was about 1:30PM for lunch, and she looked like she already worked all night & all day. My dad worked from 7AM and sometimes up to 2:00AM(when the Aero Club had parties) 7x a week(meaning all three shifts), to support us, but he always gave a happy customer service, in the 60’s! So, if that was the case with her, forgive me, if you look like you’re upset & tired. The Italian dressing, even though I wanted it on the side, I shook it well, inside a tiny container, before adding them to my salad, it was still BLAH. The Spaghetti & meatballs, just OK, sauce very good! The bathroom floor very dirty! The NY subway is cleaner that that! After using the bathroom on our way back to our car, I grossed out about the meal I just consumed! If a restaurant’s bathroom is unclean, the kitchen could also be UNCLEAN. We noticed, there were more customers going inside the Mexican restaurant, next to this one.

Thin crust is perfectly thin and crispy, just don’t wait to eat as it gets soggy after a few minutes. The hand tossed looks like it will be better for leftovers. Slices are available even in the evening — nice for smaller appetite or to limit the expenditure. Mini garlic knots are excellent — served in a shallow pool of garlicky oil with a small bowl of marinara sauce on the side. Yum!

Simply a good place to get a slice of pizza — or two — or three… Nothing fancy, nothing to complain about. A good value at a nice casual place. I would go back.(always the ultimate test).

So first, the service here is top notch, everyone is smiling, attentive and they take very good care of the guests. Keep in mind this is a chain, with locations in 9 states. Pizza was good, sauce was not acidy. Meatball Parm sub was on good bread, however the meatballs seemed pre-made. Now a 4 star rating on a chain restaurant is very high praise and I would certainly eat here again.
