The best Pakistani food in town for sure. I really love the kababs and biryani. The host is really good. A must visit!

As every time I enter an ethnic restaurant and the menu is difficult to understand, I trust the server’s recommendation. At Bismillah our host recommended two different chicken and rice plates which my dining partner and I accepted with great smiles. The portions were huge and delicious! My first time visiting a Pakistani restaurant was here.

Loved their food. Was there with family few days back and staff was friendly and place is good with lots of food choices. They have good options for kids ask them for no spices else your kids might want ice cream later lol. Overall five stars and I will come back again.

The place is very basic, I had thought the food would be great, but unfortunately the food was so plain and bland… there was no flavor at all. The biryani was over for the day and the staff had no idea about the portion size.

I had the paratha and beef boti and it was excellent! Haven’t had anything better anywhere in the US! We also had the chicken biriyAni which was good, however it lacked meat which was disappointing and is the reason why I’m giving this 4 stars.

Great breakfast menu. I just had breakfast there with some desi friends. There were many options in the menu. I tried Chana, Halwa, Paratha and also my daughter tried omelette and mango lassi. My wife and I also tried Chai(regular milk tea) but we didn’t like it and it didn’t taste fresh. Other than that everything was nice and service was fast. We will go there again.

The food here is almost, though not totally, authentic. Biryani was good and Keema was very good too. However, the dishes are a bit too spicy than it actually should be.

Tremendous gastronomic secret hidden away on Hillcroft. The décor is plain and the dishware extremely basic; however, the food is absolutely superb! Have been going here for 3 years and plan to for many years to come. Chicken Karhai, Lamb Karhai, pirathas and samosas are delicious. The sauces are mature, have depth and some definite heat to taunt your taste buds. The owner is a delight and is always helpful and very friendly.

I had the most delicious dinner ever since coming to Houston last night at this place. The woman at the counter gave us great recommendations, including achaar chicken(medium spicy and EXTREMELY flavorful), chicken biryani(the spice got to me after a while), and meat rolls(not spicy). We ate the chicken with fresh chapatti and paratha. The dessert(gulab jamun) was possibly the best part which is crazy considering the dinner was so good. Go here if you want amazing food but not if you want to fit in your pants. You just want to keep eating and eating… I think it’s time for me to go back!

We went to Bismillah after reading some reasonable reviews, however our experience at this place is very poor from food to everything else. First the food price is a mid-range restaurant but foods are served on styrofoam plates. No cutlery unless one ask. The food was very poor both quantity and quality wise. We ordered mutton karai that came with only one small piece of meat and a few bones with no meat at all! The price was $ 15.99! The gravy had no taste at all except it was a pool of oil. We also ordered chicken karai that had similar treatment like mutton. As appetizer, we ordered shami kebab — it was nowhere near the name. It was a mash of some meat. The parathas we ordered was the only good items, and that was the reason for one star.

I love this place! Best Pakistani cuisine in Houston. The quality is great and the restaurant is operated by a wonderful family. I would recommend just about anything on the menu– my personal favorite is the chicken behari.

Though they’re known for a lot of great things on they’re menu, I love their rotis(chapatis) especially coz they make them fresh and supple! Try that with their tawa qeema or tawa chicken and you are all set for a quick yet delicious home style desi meal! The only down side to the place is that you’ll come out smelling like the food. but hey! You gotta do what you gotta do! :)

I finally tried Bismillah Restaurant after enjoying the café a few doors down nearly a year ago. The restaurant is owned by the sister. On this visit, I ordered the parantha behari with beef made extra spicy and a mango lassi. My friend simply ordered the shish kabob. For the parantha, I really enjoyed the homemade bread and the spice level of the dish wasn’t that bad, even after dipping into the hot sauce on the plate. Some of the chunks of steak were large and it made it tough to bite into. Overall, a good flavor and I would order this again. I sampled my friends shish kabob, which was made with ground beef, spices and chunks of peppers, and it was good, but not as spicy and flavorful as my dish. The mango lassi tasted good to me, I haven’t ordered enough of these to distinguish the good ones from the bad ones.

The food was ok– nothing special or memorable. My biggest problem is the prices. The woman behind the counter kept pushing the two most expensive dishes even when we expressed that we weren’t interested. We went ahead and ordered those dishes because she said the plates were big– that one plate could feed two people. One of the plates was $ 14(NOT including rice, you have to pay separate) and only had THREE pieces of beef swimming in oil that tasted like carne guisada. The tikka masala was dry. Not worth the drive to hillcroft.

We come here often for brunch on the weekends. The halwa puri is fabulous, best we have tried in the Houston and Sugar Land area. Their omelets are also amazing. I order non-spicy. Their prices are reasonable, service is fast. We will come back again and again.

I usually go to Briyani Pot for my fix of Indian food but I wanted to venture out and try some new places. Saw this place and some positive reviews so thought I’ll give it a shot. I regretted it as this place is ridiculously expensive for such a sketchy place and limited menu. I would never bring someone who wants to try Indian food for the first time to this place. I had the chicken and beef dish with prata and some other chicken appetizer. Came up to a total of $ 40. I don’t mind paying for good food but this place doesn’t validate the costs. The only positive was the Hispanic server was a good server and working hard while there were 3 Indian guys just sitting behind the cashier counter. seriously? I do not recommend…

Though I’m a patron, I had never had breakfast here till this Sunday. And oh yeah it was dope. So the dude hooked me up with halwa puri platter, which is a combination of sweet, sour and tangy items that all mesh well pretty good. Halwa is a sweet dessert, served warm. Alongside that is a potato n chickpea curry served with puri, a VERY light fluffy fried tortilla(?). The sweet halwa mixed with the savory curry wrapped in a piece of puri: DIVINE!
