Horrible horrible place. The restaurant messed up my order but refused to admit they did so and also refused a refund. Food was definitely not worth the effort. Stay away!!!

The place is a semi whole in the wall. The food is good. I ordered vegetable fried rice, chili chicken and chicken lo mien. It was good and hit the spot. I still recommend this place to halal eaters.

Good food with good owner. Love the chili chicken and chicken corn soup. Conveniently located at the corner of harwin and westpark.

Meh, i only like their chicken wings with garlic sauce. Otherwise rest of the food tastes like failed cooking. The owner is really nice and he made me try their philly cheese steak sandwich and surprisingly they were really good. But yup thats all they are good for!

Pretty good food and reasonable prices. I tried their chicken Lo mein and hot and sour soup. The lady at the counter was Hispanic and didn’t understand me asking if I could mix some chicken and beef in Lo mein. But no worries food was still good. Plus all of it is halal!

I’ve been coming here for 8+ years, the food is good and the customer service is friendly.
Why the one star? I’ve found a bug in my food before. Also, the last time I went, the food wasn’t hot and the sesame chicken sauce seemed jelly-​like instead of saucy, as if they refrigerated the dish, reheated it, and served it. So nah… it’s been a good 8+ years Halal Wok, but I think I’m out!

Stopped in for a quick Chinese lunch with my mom and sister after being in the area and looking for a place to eat. Read some reviews online and decided to give this place a try. The gentleman in the front was very welcoming to us, and may be the Owner. His firm demeanor that others may be referring to here in the reviews was actually quite funny and he made jokes with us. We ordered three different dishes from the lunch special menu-​Sesame chicken (which he recommended), shrimp and vegetables, and Mongolian beef. We ordered some hot and sour soup to share and it was hot and delicious. The egg roles were served before the meal with a sweet and sour sauce and were hot, fresh, and crispy. Our plates were hot and flavorful. YOU CAN’T BEAT THE PRICE for their lunch special! He told us that if we didn’t like the food, we don’t pay, which he didn’t have to do but did so as a courtesy because we were clearly out-​of-​towners. Needless to say, we paid and left a nice tip because we were welcomed into the restaurant and were served a hot and fresh lunch, all so quickly.

Food isn’t the best but it’s what you pay for. The service is always very sweet. Worth a try if you’re looking for cheap take out.

Ugh, I’ve enjoyed their catered food a couple of times at various events/​banquets, but I am never able to actually eat inside this restaurant because it smells terrible every time I try to. If they could get some air freshener maybe i could actually step inside without holding my nose… (and I do really want to eat here because the food tastes good!!)

I like this place mainly because of its easy access, decent food and close to my place of work. Have been going here for 5 years, maybe once a month. The food is good for the price it is, and I really believe that people shouldn’t complain.

Super desi-​style chinese food. Don’t bother ordering anything other than the lunch special. (You can order it at any time of the day and its any dish on the menu). It includes chicken wings/​egg roll and your choice of soup. The food is kind of watered down, but the meat is pretty delicious.

I went to this place wanting halal Chinese food, but it was awful.
First of all, I don’t want you to spice up the food. There is no reason to. Don’t desi-​size it. I am looking for authentic Chinese food, but halal.
Also, the place is located at a really ghetto part of Hillcroft. Don’t BYOB. BYOAK47.
Lastly, the service was bad. Getting a refill on your drinks is tough.
Prices are not bad, but this is not the place to come if you want authentic Halal Chinese food. China King is still the best in my neck of the woods.

Dear Man at the counter,
If you do not like your job then by all means quit. Besides the guy at the counter-​which has been mentioned by other Unilocalers– this is a pretty decent place to get hefty portions for a reasonable price.
I tried the dry pepper beef and it was awesome. I wish I could say the same for th fried rice, but it wasnt that bad nor that great. All in all I will probably return here, but I can’t say this is a must eat place.

Food was ok, the guy at counter was a bit rude. I asked how a few things were made and he sighed and pulled out a menu and pointed at the picture of it. Food was quick and just your run of the mill chinese food nothing special. Their special is cheap $ 6.49 entrée, rice and soup or eggroll.
