Cliff’s Old Fashion Hamburgers

Awesome chicken tacos, good sour cream, pico, yummy rustic chicken off grill, onions are cooked to perfection! Haven’t tried burgers, but will definitely be back to try more on menu. Best chicken tacos I have had in years!

Amazing burgers and Mike the owner is very friendly. We referred to come here from a friend. We drove 25 miles to try this burger joint and was impressed with the food. Nice area nice location. Will definitely come back for more

Eh. You’re better off at Whataburger or Southwell’s for the money. Nothing of significance. Just some meat fried on a hot top. Fries were cold. Not impressed.

We have eaten here several time and like it. Had cheeseburger combo w/​fries and rings. Hubs had bacon cheeseburger. Fries are great, so are the rings. Good portion size. Only complaint Hubs said the bacon was precooked, quite thin sliced. Pricing seemed reasonable to me. I like it better than Southwells and the breakfast is better and cheaper than Fountainview Diner.

Best little burger joint in this area! I’ve been eating here about every other month for the past 7 years. Burgers are on point, try the Kobe burger. They deliver too. If any of us at work ever want a cheat meal for lunch, we order from here… US Anesthesia Partners’ employees loves your food! I decided to try this place out because I was in the area and wanted a burger. Should have gone with my instincts and headed to Southwells. I paid $ 14 for a patty melt fries and fountain drink. They need to change their fry oil because my patty melt tasted like a fried fish sandwich. I don’t think I will return!

Man o Man ! This place is simple inside with tables and small booths and lots of wood paneling and sports memorabilia. Right at the center, is the grill and workstations where Cliff’s comes alive with the biggest and best tasting burger this side of the Mississippi ! Have a good appetite because they sure give you your money’s worth and their meat and fixings are all fresh fresh fresh. I have been here about 6 times and every time I seem to look forward to coming back. This place is in the same plaza as Ron’s Pub. Ron’s is a place where folks from the UK seem to like to congregate, ‘because of the wheely chairs!’ on patron stated. Ron’s Pub is rated on another post! Come to Cliff’s where you will, and should, see this place on «Diners Drive-​ins and Dives».

I tried Cliff’s the other day and really enjoyed the turkey burger! Best turkey burger I have ever had! The staff was super nice and very welcoming. It’s a cute mom and pop burger joint in my opinion! That’s why I personally love it! I did not give them Five stars because I did not care for the french fries… sorry! Overall I will go back for sure! :-D

I ordered lunch from here yesterday — just couldn’t take another cold sandwich… I decided on the patty melt an fries. Since the nearby Southwell’s is damaged, this joint is overflowing with additional business, but they are cranking out orders like nobody’s business. Anyhoo — I got back to my office to eat and the sandwich was crammed into a little container (still eats the same) and while it was good, I can’t say I was amazed. The fries are hand cut and you better eat them fresh and hot because they do not do well cold or reheated. I’ll keep this as a go to backup, but I’ll just wait until Southwell’s is back up.

awesome burgers! I ordered a regular cheeseburger with fries and it was better than Five Guys. love the grilled buttery buns and classic burger taste. Too bad they’re closed on Sundays!

Overall this place is really solid.
Great atmosphere, owner promptly greets you when you come in and he remembers his customers by name.
Food is pretty solid. Beef patty could have been thicker, but flavor was spot on. Fries were plentiful and super tasty.
Will be back again.

I’m so happy that I happened to find this place one day at lunch. It’s a tiny place tucked away in a strip center on Fountain View. It’s a small locally owned hamburger joint with a little patio to look out on the busy Galleria area traffic. I tried the turkey burger with cheese and extra crispy bacon. Let me tell you, it was phenomenal! I will go back for sure. I was impressed with how large the menu was. They have breakfast, hamburgers, sandwiches, and more. I would love to take my mom here since she loves a good burger. If their burger is as good as their turkey burger, then this place is a winner.

Well I had high hopes for this place as I’m still looking for a new burger dive since my favorite spot closed.
I will state the positives: friendly service, variety on menu and the place was clean.
I ordered the standard cheeseburger and fries and the burger was meh at best. The patty tasted dry and lacked the beef flavor it should but had an odd over seasoned taste. Seasoning should be an accent, not the main course and I hate when places use overly loud seasoning.
Now the fries that’s another story… they were excellent !!! Fresh cut and natural just the way fries should be.
My hubby had the Kobe beef burger and it was equally as bad as the original burger, except with a higher price. I know it’s not real Kobe because the price would have been more and true Kobe comes from Japan and anything else is faux Kobe. They serve it medium by the way.
The place does allow you options: you can pick your own cheese, split onion rings and fries and mix up other items too.
I may come back for the chicken tenders but I’m not sure as there are other options in the area that are better.
Some additional negatives are very uncomfortable chairs, dining area is too hot and we spent 28.00 on 2 burgers, fries and drinks and that’s ridiculous (too high) !!!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Burgers are awesome and the fresh cut fries are better than any other fast food places. Mike is a great owner and always friendly with a smile when you walk through the door.

Went there yesterday after not having been in years! Still the exact same burger that I remember. Cooked perfectly, great seasoning, fresh veggies, and a burger so juicy it drips down to your elbow. So good! Thank you for not changing a thing all these years!

Even as a to-​go order, the service we received walking through the door was amazing. As first time customer, first impressions are key for me… I will be back!

Ate here twice in one week cause it was so nice. Came with work colleagues based on a recommendation from my mom. Got a bacon cheeseburger and it was huge! They put so many onions and lettuce and tomatoes. I could pretend I was being healthy as I ate the bacon! The manager guy was nice and friendly. Chatty to a comfortable point.
Decided to come back with my husband on the weekend. This time I ordered the greek salad (manager said it was the best selling salad on the menu) and the husband got the bacon cheeseburger. He was a little disappointed because things were falling out of the burger because it was so big. He even had to use a fork at the end. But my salad tasted great. the chicken was nicely flavored. The only thing is I didn’t know it had olives so I had to take them out.
The manager guy remembered me (duh…I was there 3 days before) and was again friendly. Also the lady who took our order was funny cause she carded my husband even though he is 29.
All in all a very nice place. It’s right down the street from where I’m working for the month. Might have to go again to support a great small business!

The burger was great, but THE ONION RINGS ARE A MEAL ON THEIR OWN!
TASTY, TASTY, TASTY, AND FILLING! The staff was very friendly and gave me the best recommendation to have a half order of onion rings and half order fries with my burger.

Friendly staff and really good hamburgers. French fries were so so but overall this place is really good.

Mom and pop joint, but it couldnt be better.
these guys have the best Chicken Fried Steak ever!
Its a bit pricy, but worth it!
