Had my friend not taken me here I never would have seen it. Kind of a deli in a grocery store with a few small tables(we got ours to go) with an interesting variety of dishes. I’m not sure exactly what I ordered since I just pointed at what looked good and told him to «give me some of that», but it was like a ground beef patty with potato and tomato sides. Very, very good. A lot of food for the price.

A bit out of reach, but I still come down to this location time to time. I must say, Droubi‘s makes the best darn Chicken Shawerma‘s! I‘m not saying that ‘just cause. It must be that I‘ve had good experience eating it more than two or three times. The Shawerma is layered with juicy succulent chicken. The yogurt sauce is tangy and garlicky. If you are not into tangy food, then don‘t bother with complaining about the food. Most Mediterranean style yogurt is almost always on the sour/tangy side. A long with that factor, the sandwhich is stuffed with thin slivers of pickles! How‘s that for more sourness? I don‘t mind it though, because I love pickles and anything tart. If you are not into that, then just ask for it to be removed. The other foods that Droubi‘s has to offer are good as well. I have enjoyed the Grape Leaves and the Kibbe. A long with that, the dessert‘s are also nice. Try the Mamoul. Its basically like a fig newton. But instead its the real deal pastry! Big cookie, buttery, and stuffed with fruit. The Market section of this place is huge. I always find it wonderful to eat, and then shop for the ingredients of what I just happened to eat! Makes it easier to remember what I had eaten on mind. There are a variety of fresh baked breads just been wrapped, as well as fresh cheeses, olive oils, and spices to purchase. It‘s great to be able to find a variety of items. I have enjoyed my experience at this location. I just wish that the Droubi‘s in my city had not been closed down.

i walked in here at lunchtime(12:30) and it was completely dead. this big empty middle eastern mart, so lonely and sad! The lunch counter, featuring a wide variety of veggie and meat dishes, looked sad too. A lot of the items on the steam table looked limp and old! some of the trays were even half full and had flies landing on them. gross. if I was one of the first customers of the day, then it makes me wonder if the items were still sitting there from day before. i wanted to leave, but by then i had already gotten the attention of someone behind the counter. darn it! can’t leave now. ok, let’s do this. one gyro, please. the gyro with everything(yogurt sauce, onions, tomatoes) was a good deal at $ 3.99. but the yogurt sauce was way too strong and sour. coupled with the somewhat dark and depressing environs, i lost my taste for the sandwich entirely and decided against finishing it. bye droubi’s. you were a gamble that didn’t pan out.
