I have visited this location several times and have always been happy with their outstanding customer service. I appreciate that their staff go above and beyond their duties for their customers to have a pleasant meal. Food is good and comes out fairly quickly, and the store is clean as well. Plenty of parking spaces available. Keep up the good job!

This is a family favorite, because the customer service is just so phenomenal here. It doesn’t matter who is working — it is clear that this team is well-trained and given the support they need to meet customer needs.

Wow… I’ve been going to this place since I can remember, call it 45 years. Just left, they’ve remodeled and it looks neat… I order, am given a buzzer, and wait… and wait… make eye contact with two different employees hoping they’ll at least address the fact that orders behind mine are served… Kitchen employees were too busy visiting with friends to acknowledge the fact I’d placed the buzzer down and walked out… I’ve paid mind you, just call it an experiment in Customer Service… It amounted to an expensive iced tea, rude and indifferent staff… lots of choices around, won’t ever go back… a shame…

Ice cream was sour, manager didn’t care. Onion rings were chewy, seemed quite old. Not impressed.

My favorite place and I like the upscaled options although I am a traditional coney gall. We got the Hungryman Special which comes with 2 chese coneys and fries and a drink for $ 10.49. The regular hot dogs are good too. You should join the club to get points for your purchase.

I like the new concept. Classy, warm upgrade to the restaurant & Classics Menu still had my fav chili cheese coney & frito pie combo! Only complaint, I’ve been passing by for weeks & thought they had closed since their windows were always dark. Turns out, that’s part of the ambience. Apparently other customers thought the same because only a couple of cars were ever out front. Thought those were rollovers from the other restaurants nearby. Looking forward to returning to try their burgers!

Not the original James Coney hotdog anymore. Terrible buns. All bread tinny wiener. Why chance?

oh boy where do I start. Came here with my Mom and Dad. Ordered some hot dogs, burgers, and fries. The hot dogs were nothing special, costco hot dogs blow this place away. But, this is besides the point. the point is the water that comes out of the fountain is banana yellow, like dog pee yellow coming out of the machine. Anyhow, to prevent risk from having major stomach problems my mom dumped the yellow sewage water and proceeded to fill up the cups with sprite. Here comes the invasive manager lady. as we sat there she approaches us and asks if we wanted the trays removed, cool we can do that. Then she gets upset we filled our cups with sprite. She kept asking my mother, «mam is that sprite in your cup» maybe about three times before we told her there is unfiltered sewage water comin out of the fountain machine. Not only was she invasive but she is a resemblance of a try hard mall cop that takes their job waaaay to seriously. Okay then comes the food. Again, the hot dogs were ok. But the DISGUSTING thing was the burgers tasted like a concoction of freezer burn and mushy rat meat. When I showed the manager she explained to me the beef was«Organic beef» which she then says she sells so many burgers that she doesnt even store any beef patties in the freezer. Ok I get it i was a little tired maybe I looked dumb to her. She ended up giving me a refund on one burger and fries. But, the problem is my parents consumed half of a burger each and now they both have stomach aches. I would not recommend going to this restaurant if you want a quiet nice atmosphere to eat unbothered. The manager will come up to you and try to make nonsensical conversations and try to cuddle next to you in your personal bubble. See picture if my «Organic Beef Burger» in the gallery.

Blah, the most pathetic weiners this side of the Mississippi including the questionable ones they sell from carts in the French Quarter(hey when you’re drunk those weinies are pretty darn good…). And the chili sauce, what the f*ck is in that crap? I haven’t tried their Nolan Ryan beef burgers & have to admit they look pretty good for a burger from this joint. The fries & onion rings are pretty good but again I’ve had better. The people standing in front of me in line were complete morons. They picked up their child & let her stand on the counter in front of the drink station. Seriously, do they let her do that at home? Better yet, invite me over for dinner & I’ll gladly walk all over your kitchen counters & table with the shoes I wore to NOLA when I ate that rather questionable weiner. :P

The footlong chili cheese here was really foot long. The taste was outstanding, the chiliness of the food was perfect. Would always recommend this one to my fries when we are talking about cheese dog. THe texas dog was also good. Taste differently from the other dog that I had in a long time.

It’s been years since I’ve been to a JCI. The chili cheese hot dog with onions was very good. The bread was moist and warm the cheese was melted. The onions were diced very finely how I like my toppings. I enjoyed the onion rings. They had a very lite batter on them just the way I like. The employees were sweet on my twin girls. I enjoyed our visit definitely be back maybe sometime.

Average hot dogs at best. If you want a good hotdog, go to somewhere in the heights. The hot dogs look gross and are undercooked. The tater tots are not crispy. Good service though.

Still good after all these years. Years ago I ate with my parents at the downtown restaurant then we’d head over to the Metropolitan or Majestic for a movie. I moved away but still fondly remember two all the way(cheese wasn’t included) with a bag of fritos and a Delaware Punch. Maybe the buns are not so soft and the weenie is a bit different but it still brings back the memory of dinner and a movie with my parents

Everyone knows James Coney Island isn’t a fancy dog joint. And it isn’t even that creative(you would have to head over to the other side of the Caribbean for that). It’s mostly an American hotdog joint. But it’s a pretty good one, considering that it’s a chain and their dogs are still good. It’s also probably the only reliable place to get a decent Chicago dog in Houston. And a place to get corn dogs whenever you want. By the way, for the corn dogs, don’t use their sweet mustard — use the regular one. The tang of the mustard works better with the flavor. And so they even have 8 pc mini corn dogs for $ 3.69. But this location is weird in that there’s no drive-thru.
