Smashburger

Quick lunch to go before I go back to work. I got Classic Chicken, Sweet potato smashfries, and a drink. Lunch for under $ 12 is a good deal. My order came out less than 10 mins during lunch hour! The chicken is flattened out so it sticks out of the bun. It’s sloppy. But I love the sweet potato smashfries! I can eat this all day long. Rosemary seasoning is good. Nom nom nom. I also received a coupon for free side with purchase of an entrée. But the coupon expired last year.

Great food, hot, fresh. Love the kids eat free on Monday nights. Jordan is the friendliest, most servant-​minded, enthusiastic employee we’ve come across. Very impressed with him and the whole crew there. Thanks all!

Burger was awesome and flavorful. The fries was good too if you like rosemary taste. Definitely would recommend this place

My fiancé enjoyed her chicken sandwich but my burger wasn’t tasty at all. I didn’t eat it all either. But the fries with oil and garlic were great. Thank god for the fries or I would have been hungry when I left. Won’t be coming back again. Five Guys it is!

First the Smashing Pumpkins. Now we are smashing burgers… but they taste great. Much better food that traditional quick service but still pretty fast. The Smash Fries are the skinny kind with a hint of Rosemary seasoning. The burgers taste great and while I haven’t had one of their shakes… my daughters love them. I actually like the location as it has much easier parking than City Centre.

The location is kind of awkward (it’s located outside of city center, but it’s really close). Whenever I come here it’s always never crowded so I always order take out. Burger itself is delicious though a bit greasy. I liked the fries. Service was okay. Might come back here.

Great burgers. Family environment. Also have some chicken sandwich options that are tasty. Love the smash sweet potato fries. We always see someone we know when we go there. Also have to note that I have never had an order taker that wasn’t happy and pleasant. Food is good and so is the service.

First time here. Really smashed my expectations with tasty burgers (spicy baja big smash and the bacon-​cheese smash) and addictive smash fries. To top it off the customer service was sizzling. I really savored every moment of it.

The food at this location was just ok. The burgers were under seasoned and the rosemary fries had all the seasoning in one spot. The thing the really stood out though was the poor service. There were 2 working the front and 2 working the back that I could see. The young lady working the register was having to compensate for the other guy «Alex» who appeared to be doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I don’t know the situation but we stood at the counter for at least 5 mins watching her make 3 shakes while he stood at the pick up window and shuffled receipts and bags from one pile to another and look spaced out. While this was going on there are at lest 3 dirty tables and the floor is littered with trash. We finally order 2 originals then waited another 15mins for food after we were asked if incorrect orders were ours by «Alex». The 4 person family after us got their food first. He disappeared for a while and she was left to do EVERYTHING. Including walk the kitchen staff through every other step and jump back there at one point. Kudos to her for keeping it together. I suppose we’ll try again another day.

My coworker and I were tired of going to the same old places for lunch and both decided to try Smashburger for the first time. I’m glad I tried it before I read some of the other reviews, because I’m pretty much in love, and I will be having my husband sign divorce papers quite soon so that I can marry Smashburger.
For being in the middle of Town & Country/​City Centre it wasn’t busy at all at 11am. The cashier was very friendly and helpful, and I didn’t think the place felt dirty or dingy at all. He told us the regular size burgers are around ¹⁄₃ lb and the big burgers are almost ½ lb.
Our burgers were fresh, delicious, drippy, greasy amazingness. My beef patty extended out the sides of my bun, and was hand-​formed and pressed. The guy at the counter did mention to us that the patties are fresh, not frozen; and I could definitely tell. Juicy, not dry, and flavorful.
Both my coworker and I ordered the Smash Fries because they were the same price as the regular. They were freshly-​cooked shoestring fries with rosemary and garlic, and I’m pretty sure I won’t be ordering any other fries there because those were perfect. Order the regular fries for yourself because it’s a lot. We could have shared the regular size between the two of us.
Truly reasonably priced. My burger with bacon, cheese, and those fried shoestring onion thingies was $ 6.29, and regular fries are an extra $ 1.99.
Throughout our lunch hour we had workers coming by periodically asking if we needed anything, and asking how the food was. I always appreciate that in restaurants that don’t have a full waitstaff who earn tips and things. Today is Friday, and we’re going back on Monday!

Went in tonight after having to deal with some very sad family stuff and the boy at the register was one of the kindest people I’ve encountered in customer service. I wish I caught his name. After a very emotional evening, his kindness truly helped cheer me up. He’s tall and has brown hair. Thanks a bunch.

This isn’t your average burger place. It is clean with great food and the service is awesome. The burgers are terrific, I highly recommend you try it.

Nice clean restaurant with fast efficient service and great food. How can you not be happy. Used to go to SmashBurger in San Diego all the time and when I moved to Texas I found there is one right next to my work. Perfect. Love all the burgers and the Veggie Frites dipped in the Chipotle Mayo.

Lousy cashier and the other guy who was cleaning up at 20 minutes till 10. Awful glances of top concern to each other as about to scream mayday. Or Hail Mary at a confessional. Anyways, fast forward to post-​ordering of the food, I went to the restroom and there were tables scattered in front and when he saw that I was approaching to use the men’s room he just pushed all them back with so much oomph and Hmph. FWD: the actual food was ok. Nothing to write a Unilocal review about.

This location has undergone an entire Management turnover & has improved drastically over the last 2 months! The restaurant is so much cleaner & the staff is energized ! I urge you to give this location another visit & see for yourself! Smash Burger is known for the best Burgers around & they are doin’ it right!

As much as I love trying out other places when it comes to burgers but when I went into a place where I can find Smashburgers. I would really prioritize coming to Smashburger. Because the service here is good, I love how clean their place is and the food is Great. Ever since I tried out their burgers, their yummy saucy burgers. I never stopped thinking about it.
This place rocks when it comes to Burgers!!!

The service was typical of Houston restaurants — a quirky mixture of that «you are annoying but I have to serve you so what do you want» attitude.
Ordered burger with avocado and goat cheese — the goat cheese was crumbled so not what I expected.
Burger was pretty decent all around — the shakes looked yummy but I passed on that.
The restaurant was not very clean — all the tables were either occupied or had not been cleared for customers to sit. The manager saw to it that they were attended to but the woman who had to clean them yelled at my husband and I to «be patient» — we hadn’t said a word to anyone — we were just looking for a place to sit.
Probably won’t go back. Whataburger is right up the street and they’re actually pretty clean and the staff is nice.

Normally come here but today man. I was close to running, there was a rotting sewer smell by the beverages. Just awful, wondering why no one spray something anything. The drinks here always, I mean always suck. To much soda not in of syrup, super sweet tea, bitter sour on the unsweetened. The fries I normally get are thicker but seems like there coming out thin as can be. They also forgot I didn’t ask for any sauce in my burger, and my hubs wanted mushrooms but did bring them out a few minutes later on a tray. Not the best service today, the smell was stomach turning, ugh.

The cashier was very friendly and helpful. The burgers were also delicious. Definitely try the truffle mushroom burger and ask for extra truffle mayo! We had that and the avocado burger which was also delicious. The fries were not my favorite because they’re skinnier than regular fries. I prefer wedges.

Great friendly service every time I come here. Probably the best service of all the Smashburger’s in the Houston area.
I recommend trying the Baja Burger (beef or chicken).
