I tried several times to eat here. Food never tasted like it should. The Alfredo sauce tasted like Gravy and told several and they said it’s country Italian. Tasted like chicken fried steak

My wife and I love this restaurant. The service is excellent, and the meals are fantastic. We always receive great service, and Josh is the best. Courteous, and tending to your every need, I highly recommend Carino’s!

Ordered the Seafood Medley and it was terrible. I sent it back because I couldn’t bring myself to pay $ 16 for the bland pasta dish with undercooked shrimp and over cooked calamari and scallops. Ending the review on a positive note, I did enjoy the Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake, and the customer service was a 3 out of 5.

We have tried this place out twice now. We only went the second time because we hoped the restaurant was having an off day and would redeem itself. Both times they messed up the bill and gave us a bullshit explanation for how the total was calculated. Not to mention that the service leaves much to be desired. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting this location ever again and will warn our family and friends about it.

Highly recommend this place. The food is fantastic and if you get Josh as your waiter, prepare to have an outstanding customer service experience. The bread is soooo good and the ranch dressing on their house salad is so creamy and delicious! The prices are reasonable and the amount of food you get is more than enough. Overall, this place is A++++!!

This place is disgusting. The table was greasy. The whole restaurant smelled like mold. We left before even ordering.

there is not a better italian restaurant for me in my opinion and i have been to a lot of italian restaurants. olive garden food taste like frozen food to me. zio’s carrabba’s, perry’s italian, frenchie’s, angelo’s, the colleseum and franca’s don’t even come close to the quality and taste of carino’s food. to start off with, the cheese sticks are the BEST i have EVER had anywhere! the house salad with ranch is so freaking tasty. the bread is hot and soft. my favorite dish is the chicken parmesan which is amazing. i am drooling just talking about this food. my husband gets the spicy chicken and shrimp which is also very good. i also get the cherry vanilla italian soda which is sooooooooooooooooo good people. PLEASE, PLEASE, check this place out. you won’t regret it!!!

I had the chicken parmesian, first of all it had to of been pre frozen battered chicken. It was soggy, and tasteless. Nothing was seasoned. The Cesar salad was ok it’s self but the croutons were. Rubbery. I won’t be back there.

5 of us went for lunch & only 1 of us enjoyed it. I had the wedge salad & lobster ravioli, wedge lettuce was all white & yellow no green & very watery. 2 of my ravioli were empty & they did not have a good taste! Service was not very good. We were there for 2& half hours & they did not take away our dirty dishes till 5 minutes before we left & never asked us if we’d like refills on our waters or tea. We will not be returning!

Got groupon will travel. A friend sent me a groupon deal for Johnny Carino’s so I said… Why not? I have to admit I’m not a HUGE fan of Italian, but when I do go out for Italian, it is usually to a chain. As far as Italian goes… Johnny Carino’s isn’t that bad at all. I haven’t ventured much into their menu… I usually stick to what I know, so I ordered the Angel Hair with Artichokes. The usual. It is… and always has been consistently good. Service is what you’d expect from this type of restaurant… not wonderful… but not bad either. The restaurant appears neat and clean… and I don’t have any complaints about the restroom. If you are ok with Italian chains… and you’re in the area… I’d say… give em a try… I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Carino’s did the trick for a quick Italian chain lunch experience. While everything was enjoyable, I’d say our favorite part of the meal was the complimentary bread. It’s served with a delicious garlic dipping oil… we couldn’t get enough. The last time we went, we also enjoyed the Italian nachos as an appetizer. It was a unique and tasty dish. BOTTOMLINE: Typical Italian chain restaurant.

Service was okay. I am not deducting or adding any stars regarding services and the two stars alone was rated on their food. I’ve always wanted to try this chain because I would see it from time to time. The boyfriend had purchased a Groupon and it was about to expire. I personally think their prices are high for the quality. The portions are huge but it wasn’t good. I had the seafood pasta medley with spicy marinara sauce. It was edible but I would not come back if I was craving Italian. The Italian nachos were tasty but too greasy. I think the best thing about the meal was the bread and olive oil.

been here 3 times(due to accompanying friends) never been a fan. I suppose 3rd time’s a charm though, food & service was better than usual. really the only thing worth going here for is the bread w/olive oil«dip». SO good. I say save your money & make your own grilled chicken whatever(its honestly so easy), or go to the Olive Garden down the road.

House salad was weak, not enough dressing. Italian Margarita’s are awesome! A must try for those that don’t favor traditional margarita’s. Management was present and friendly. Girlfriend and I both ordered the Spicy Ramano Chicken. Serving portions were more than adequate. no appetizers ordered.

Took my mom out for a nice dinner, she suggested Carino’s. I’ve been to this location 3x before still the same mediocre service. Food was edible to say at best and price was what to expect, my fault for coming back! I might have came on a bad day, service was slow, food took forever, anything ordered at the bar came almost 30 minutes after we ordered it. It’s funny I counted the customers inside the restaurant and there was a minimum of 25 – 30 at best(slow). Good thing there’s an Olive Garden across the beltway! Food: 2⁄5 Service: 3⁄5(waitress was nice) Price: $$ NEVERCOMINGBACK!

Decent Americanized Italian food. I went for lunch, and the salad selection is really quite wonderful. Our table had a few different ones for the entrée and across the board they were praised. Service was prompt, I would not hesitate to come back here.

The first time I tried Carino’s, the food was aammmaazzinngg! Like really, I would drive all the way to Cypress to eat here. The service was amazing and the food was definitely on point. However, I visited this location again recently. and it ruined my first experience. We came during happy hour(yay!) — which means half priced pizzas + appetizers. I got a chicken Alfredo pizza and the calamari. The calamari appetizer boasted a spicy sauce to dip in. and I never got it. I don’t know what happened. The service was also DEFINITELY lacking that night. We kept trying to catch our waitress– who was nice enough to check up on us every now and then but totally forgot us. We had to ask for refills on drinks and the bread… and then the check. It was just plain annoying to have to look for her.

I don’t go to Happy Hour that often but when I do the first place that comes to mind is Johnny Carinos Italian Restaurant. I love their Sangria’s and Peach Belini’s. They are so delicious and their bread and dipping sauce is to die for. You can’t beat the price of the drinks and the service is always great. I’ve always gone to the one in Houston when visiting family and friends. The food is ok but I usually make my own spaghetti sauce and other Italian sauces from scratch. I have had better Italian food at other restaurants. I’m giving it four stars for the drinks that I have tried.

In celebration of my Mom’s birthday, she chose Carino’s! I have been here a couple of times before, this time we sat in the bar area, they have seating, due to the place being packed! Our hostess got us some water, before our waiter/bartender could get to us. We tried to be funny with him and either he wasn’t listening or just didn’t find anything funny. Well just so you know that on Wednesday’s, its half price bottle night on wines! So we had the Rosemount Shiraz, very nice and smooth! And you can get a Dos Equis«dressed», had never heard that before, but they salt the neck of the bottle! Onto the food! I had the Wedge Salad, which I thought was delicious! It had country ranch, gorgonzola cheese, apple slices, and candied pecans! I really liked this. I ate the whole thing! My mom loves their Italian Nachos and I got to try some! I concur! These pasta chips that they use, almost make you not want regular nachos with tortilla chips! They come covered in cheese, black olives, roma tomatoes, pepperoncinis and chicken/sausage/combo! Now for the service, our waiter/bartender did warm up to us and even gave us a free dessert in honor of my Mom! The only realy critique I have is that we had no silverware, I had to go to the bar and ask for them! But this was not enough to keep me away, I will return I am sure for a future«country» italian meal!
