Who can go wrong with this food ?! The quiche Lorraine is one of my favorites the potato soup is amazing! The staff is great there was one that I noticed was working extra hard. He picked up the plates as if I were in a fine dining establishment was very polite… had the kindest smile … He was working Sunday morning I went which was the day before Memorial Day. Such a hard worker hope that they reward him for his hard work!

Recently I was invited to dine at La Madeleine by Carlos Muniz from catering. I tried the Ham and Cheese Sandwich with the potato soup and strawberry Romanoff with a Raspberry Lemonade. That was so good I decided to get dessert as well. I had the Lemon Custard Cake with a hot chocolate. It was absolutely amazing!!! I then thought it might be a good idea to bring back a few mini tarts for the office. I purchased a few during lunch time and the staff was so fast and extremely nice. I will definitely come back to eat here again and take advantage of their catering for future events.

I have to give a star to post. Terrible customer service. I stood waiting to place my order for 5 minutes and was totally ignored as the employee came around to my side of the counter to visit with her friend. I walked out never to return.

Love the lunch menu(I always get the pesto pasta) and the price isn’t bad. There are a lot of people during lunch rush but the line goes quickly. It might be a little hard to find seating during lunch rush but every time I’ve gone, I was able to find places to sit. The food also comes out at a pretty decent pace. I also definitely recommend trying their cheesecake parfait. It is SO good and comes in a small cup. When someone asks for lunch suggestions near work, I always suggest Le Madeline.

Caramel machiato: 4⁄5 French Country breakfast: 3⁄5 Service(from the cashier) Jose R.: 5⁄5 — Jose was very patient and helpful. Suggested top picks on the menu even his favorites. When my drink didn’t come(even after I saw Jose ask one of the staff to make it, coz he can’t leave his post) I came back and asked him about my drink(I inquired nicely), he immediately left his post even though there was a long line, and quickly made it himself and handed it to me, apologetically. He checked back with me after a few minutes and asked me how everything was. Service(from the foodrunner — short, older lady):0/5 — When i asked for my drink, she yelled«It’s coming!» When I asked where the silverwares are, she(again) yells«over there, get it yourself!» Take note: I work in the industry so I’m always nice to people who works in restaurants/customer service. Will I come back here? Probably not. Would I recommend this place? No. Then again, this is just my experience so go ahead and try it yourself hopefully service(and food) won’t be mediocre.

Food here is great and been coming to this 1 cause of the location convenience. But for some reason they have rude workers. 1 old lady I always had a problem w her. I have complained bout her 3x already cause of rudeness. And today, I complained bout her again! And another worker, if your taking someone’s order already you just dont walk away w. o saying excuse me or I’ll be back. And expect the customer to be happy. I don’t recommend this place if you want good service.

My favorite place in my neighborhood sometimes as a breath of fresh air from my busy routine. They have all kinds of seating, they even a large patio. I love to sit inside at one of the bistro tables by a window. I love their American Roast coffee, too and I think it’s now my favorite, even possibly equal to DunkinD’s coffee. My La Madeleine life hack is to order a large coffee and stir in two of their house-packaged raspberry jams in it to flavor it. You gotta try it at least once and I feel like it’s probably healthier than Starbucks’ raspberry flavoring from their pumps. Also, every once in a while, I assume it’s computer generated or something, I get a free pastry/dessert coupon included with my receipt. What, It’s so easy, you just have to take a quick 1800 number survey that gives you the coupon code that you can use within 30 days, I repeat: 30 days. How awesome is that? I hope they keep doing it. I use the coupon code receipts as book marks until I’m inspired to return. I also saw they recently deployed a reward card system(similar to Starbucks’) that you can sign up for through their mobile application. I can’t wait to check it out. If they have advance order like Starbucks wouldn’t that be amazing? :D

They should fire the manager of this location. It’s badly run. This place needs to crack down on the dead heads that use the table as an office. I went there for lunch the other day and no tables were available because people are conducting business out of here. I had to eat at a table outside in the freezing cold because a Mary Kay rep was in there running her business. There were also a bunch of people using the free wifi. They should shut down the wifi during lunch to keep the free loading parasites away. The best part is that they don’t even purchase any products. So in essence they are taking up a seat that a paying customer would use. I ordered the Chicken Friand with the mushroom sauce and it hardly had any mushroom sauce on it. Also, the Chicken Caesar salad was dry because they hardly put any dressing on it. Very pricey for what you get compared to other restaurants in this area. I don’t recommend this location,

The Houston patisserie I had wanted to go to for their allegedly great clafoutis, a dessert I had been denied earlier, was unfortunately closed so I did what I imagine the locals do – got back in the car and drove around. Not long after getting in the car, I saw La Madeleine, which sounded promising(especially since we didn’t know at the time that it was a mini chain), so we stopped in to check it out. The menu had many appealing options. I opted for one of their crepes with a side of soup. You order at the counter, pay at another part of the counter, and then take a number and whatever items(like soup) are already ready to your table. The portions are not large, but are certainly adequate, with the soup helped by the small slices of bread you can add on. The veggie soup was tasty, but my friend’s cream of mushroom soup was definitely tastier. The crêpe was nice, with a tasty, colorful, multi-textured filling, which was a welcome improvement from my last crêpe. Although they have many desserts here, there was no clafoutis, so I just made some dessert with their bread and butter and tasty jam; not too shabby.

During my college years, I used to frequent this location regularly as a study spot or meeting friends up for lunch. Food and service were always on point at La Madeleine. Although the food is ok, it seems like service has gone exponentially downhill since my last visit a few years ago. My mom and I stopped by for an early weeknight dinner around 6:15pm. We were surprised how busy the dining area was for the the early part of dinner. We waited about 10 mins before we were acknowledged to order a la carte items. We got our drinks, some fresh bread, and jam. Usually food is brought out within 10 – 15 mins after the order is placed. Apparently, there was miscommunication between myself and the cashier about our order, which I did not realize until our entrée was brought out to the table 30 minutes later. The hot food prep area staff member appeared overwhelmed with orders and not enough support staff. In other parts of the restaurant, there were plenty of staff standing around doing nothing at all. Their workflow was completely disjointed. The staff member that brought us our entrée kind of just threw the plate on the table and quickly left, without any spoken words. We ordered the rotisserie chicken, which is always a solid choice, consistent in taste, texture, and flavor. As soon as we barely finished eating, another staff member rudely asked if we were done and quickly started clearing our table, as if to hurry us away out of the restaurant. We both felt very unwelcomed and could not wait to leave. Every staff member appeared very unhappy and disorganized, as if there was no collaborative teamwork nor enthusiasm. Management needs to seriously consider their own self-evaluation on leadership and re-train staff on proper customer service. I will never visit this particular La Madeleine location again because of such a terrible visit tonight. I am highly disappointed in their poor customer service. Please save your time and money and dine elsewhere in the Westchase area.

I have always liked this establishment, tonight the manager went the extra mile to make me feel like a regular. Customer service was great from the time I walked in from the time I walked out. My Mediterranean paella was fresh and delicious. Thank you for making an effort to satisfy your customers!

La Madeleine never disappoints me. First time trying the coconut cake and it was immaculate :-) The dressing they had with the turkey feast dinner was the best I ever had. It was moist and the dressing I have always had(homemade) from others is always dry. So this was something new but yummy!

Wide selection of dishes that are slightly off the beaten path. Everything was A-OK. The prices match the food with a small premium for location, the décor does not remind me of Paris, but feels like cottage(with the whole town in attendance). I think this is what Luby’s would be like in France, French cooking cafeteria style. If you are in the mood for something just a little different it is worth a visit.

My favorite place to eat at! The pastas and soups are amazingly delicious and affordable. They give out unlimited complimentary breads with your choice of jam. I would recommend trying the Corbin bleu chicken pasta if you’re a pasta person.

It depends on what you order because some things are good at different time. Like the creamy pasta it’s not something one should eat in the morning. I learn it the hard way, the food are good but sometime if you go to early, the food is kinda cold. Their potato soup is really good and the bread too. Would come again because it has good decent food for an affordable price.

My go-to la madeleine in Houston for the last 10 years, since it’s in such a convenient location to where I’ve either worked or lived. No, they don’t serve gourmet food here, they are a chain afterall but they are well known for their french pastries(crème brûlée), and tomato basil soup. Their prices are very reasonable if you dine here for dinner and not so bad for lunch either. More of my favorite things to eat here are the free bread with jelly, french dip sandwich and french onion soup.

I always love La Madeleine and this was no exception. Easy to park, service was good, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Roasted Salmon with Dill Sauce and my date got the Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta. This was a good location as well. It was clean, we got our food quickly, and the service was friendly.

Upon walking in, I didn’t know what to think of this place. Is this a sit down and have your order taken or self serve place. Which brings me to the point that this place is sort of chaotic with no clear organization as to the flow of the restaurant with an extremely inefficient ordering line. One line for allllllll sorts of dishes — salads, quiches, pasta, pizza, dessert and the list goes on. It’s great to have selection but the ordering process needs to be reorganized and automated to deal with the crowd. I got the pasta la Madeleine — cream of mushroom sauce with grilled chicken, tomatoes, and spinach(asked to substitute for spinach instead of broccoli for no extra cost). Great portion, awesome flavors and delicious breadstick. Also got the strawberry cheesecake parfait and that was just ok. Overall, my companions had good/great things they had to say about their meals except the desserts.

I brought my Wife here(She flew in to see me for the Holidays) to introduce her to their soufflés(At least, I think I remember them having those, but I could be wrong), but I did anticipate that they might not carry them(they don’t) and so I was slightly disappointed by, but fortunately almost everything else they have is quite delicious. I ordered 2 Coffee Crème brûlées, a Sacher slice of cake, a White Chocolate Raspberry slice of cake, a fantastic chocolate chip cookie &2 Cappuccinos to wash it all down. My bill was about $ 22, which is somewhat reasonable. The Cappuccinos were really feakin’ good. Probably one of the better ones I’ve had. The Cakes were pleasant, the White Choc being the better of the 2(The Wife & I agreed), the Sacher was a little less sweet than the White Choc, but the Sacher has a good dark chocolate flavor. The Coffee Crème Brûlée was pretty tasty, albeit very sweet, it is small so it’s not too much; It’s a morsel. The cookie was some next level stuff… crispy outside, softish inside, good amount of chewiness, not too sweet, but instead the chips were very sweet so as to balance the flavor… pretty much a model chocolate chip cookie. Now the décor is a good reason to come here. The long windows, the wood details all around, the cooking areas… they’re all great. My Wife tells me that the Ladies Room was being remodeled(It was pretty dusty as a result, so if you’re wearing black, watch out, Ladies!). The other nice thing is the food selection, there is enough to satisfy most cravings and from what I remember from before(maybe 7 years ago) the food was really tasty, the deserts were good and the breads are good, although, they did lack some flavor/sweetness, which is fine, but I do remember wishing they were a bit tastier. Now this place isn’t without flaw… the staff weren’t exactly the best, I felt like I needed to make an effort to get their attention and they didn’t seem very eager to take my order, but maybe that was because it was the 24th of December and they were working, I dunno, but I think that is actually more reason to be cheerful and welcoming. Maybe I’m just picky. :) All in all, I was taken care of in a timely manner, the place was calm, yet lively and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon desert with my Wife. This place is worth a try. Happy Holidays!

I am always in the mood for a cup of warm soup, specially when the weather begins to drop. I like this place, the good is ok. Nothing to really write home about, and it can get pretty pricey, But I enjoy the atmosphere. It’s not as loud as most places, so a really good place to do some work or just surf the web. They do have wifi! A bonus and no hassles from waiters asking you every five minutes if you are«ok.» That’s always a plus!
