I’ve always had a good experience at this location– which is what I’m rating, not the franchise or pricing. Friendly front desk staff and the relaxation room is quiet and pretty. Erica is a fantastic massage therapist, skilled and great interpersonal skills!

Worst massage of my life. This was the Westheimer at Gessner location. So bad I actually interrupted the therapist before he was finished to let him know I was done. I got up, got dressed and left. Really. I have had a lot of bad massages, but this was a joke. At about 20 minutes in I was sure I must be on some sort of candid camera show. He spent 40 minutes and never use any sort of lotion or oil. He just pressed up and down my legs through the blanket over and over. Really. Press release. Move one inch. Press release. For 40 minutes. That’s when I decided I was done. 40 minutes I will never get back. Stay away.

My first time at a massage envy. Not as bad as most people say it is. They were great with calling me as soon as I requested an appointment. Once I made it there the staff was very nice and professional. The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that you have to pay extra for pretty much everything. Like an aroma, which I think it should be standard for every massage parlor. Other than that my massage was good. I’d probably go there again.

This was my first time and last visiting this location. When I arrived I was greeted and seated in the waiting area. When my therapist came to get me she was talking on her cell phone, she pointed at me said my name and instructed me to follower her. She continued to talk on her cell phone as she instructed me to go inside the room and she would be in, in a few minutes. She continued to talk on her phone for at least 2 more minutes. Then I received a facial, from a different person of course. It was okay just shocked they didn’t do any extractions. That was a first for me. When I was checking out I asked if I could have a comment card. I was told they don’t have any and one may be emailed to me. Just check my email. Makes me rethink my membership!

Judging by the poor to mediocre reviews that most MEs have around town, I wasn’t expecting much. I went there because I had a gift card. I called around for a last minute appt, and luckily this location was able to accommodate me, so two thumbs up for that. The environment is clean and peaceful. I liked that the massage tables were heated. Jonathan was my massage therapist, and when I asked for deep pressure, he sure as hell gave me deep pressure. I consider this a good thing — most therapists don’t think a small girl like me can handle it. I came prepared knowing that I’d get a pitch for the membership, so I shut that convo down quick after my appointment, and they weren’t pushy about it. I gotta say though, prices are steep. I can get a good 1-hour massage in China Town for cheaper than their $ 60/month membership rate. All in all, I had a good experience, but I don’t get massages often and know a lot of places where I can get an individual massage for less than their non-membership rates.

I’ve been to a few MEs around town and I can say I’ve not had a better experience than I’ve had here. Here, I get clean, peace, quiet, friendly, helpful and I always enjoy my massages. I had a bit of a fiasco especially today with another location that was more convenient to me in terms of proximity. Long story short, I was fed up, needed out and cancelled. Siting around annoyed and with time now on my hands, I called this place and they helped me Book a facial the same day. Not always the case but lucky to have gotten in. Oh man, what a great experience. I Always have good massages here, and now facials. I will drive the distance to stick with this location. It’s worth it, yall! Great management!

Customer service here is terrible. They do not confirm appointments or make it easy to know what Massage Envy you have an apt with. You would think that if you are new office and your office doesn’t appear on MapQuest yet, as a Massage Envy with multiple locations, that you would accommodate customers that ask to have the address sent via email or text. I am new to the area and was looking for a massage place to attend regularly however was unable to locate the correct office and they would not work with me. After dealing with the staff at the Massage Envy off Westheimer and Gessner I will not be going to Massage Envy for my business. Their customer service is the worst I have seen.

Customer service is nonexistent. They would rather have a sick customer come in and infect their staff and other customers than reschedule. I have been to three other locations and this is by far the worst. Am canceling my membership as a result of their terrible customer service.

This is their most recent location in Houston. It is super clean and staff very friendly and polite. Showed up for my appointment and I was checked in promptly. The massage was very relaxing. Got rid of my shoulder ache will definitely be back!

Excellent massage right before I left Houston. If I go back to Houston, I’d get another massage from Tony. I’m looking for a Massage Envy Spa close by me here in San Diego.

I really wanted to like this place but there are few things I want to touch base on first. a. if you are a chain you should be able to access all of the other location’s schedules. The customer shouldn’t have to call ALL the locations to reschedule an appointment that was cancelled because a therapist called out. b. the nice relaxing environment goes out the window when they start getting heavy on the sales. c. nobody asks your preference of male or female therapist. I purchased the $ 992 massage with 210 minute add on foot scrubs. My therapist Corey was really awesome. He worked on all of my trouble points as outlined on my questionnaire. So no problem there at all. I was 100% satisfied with my service. I hate having my feet massaged and he did such a great job I didn’t want it to end. Yeah it turned out to be a dude doing my massage and I wasn’t entirely sure about how comfortable I would be in my undies with a guy in the dark that wasn’t my husband, but it turned out to be just fine. Corey was 100% professional and I didn’t feel weird at all. This location is newer so it is really nice and clean. The receptionist was SUPER nice. She offered us water, talked to us about what we did for a living etc. She explained how everything worked, where things were like the bathroom etc. Once our service was over she comes back and talks to us. This time it is a huge sales pitch. I know it isn’t her fault because she is just doing her job, but NO. I just had a relaxing massage and this is a total buzz kill. I would rather be informed about all of this prior to the massage. I get what they are trying to do! I mean you catch more bees with honey, however this was really off putting. I highly doubt I will return to Massage Envy because it was such a hassle to schedule an appointment, then get cancelled and reschedule. Also I don’t like be harassed after a massage.

First the good part. Patricia was my esthetician and she was very good. I had regular monthly facials from Terry Higgs from Esthetique until she retired and she caused me to set a very high standard for facials. Patricia meets that standard. Front desk staff, also very good. Here is the down side. Just like your wireless carrier, airline and now hotels, Massage Envy Facial has hidden fees that border on the ridiculous. $ 89 for a facial without a membership or $ 59 with a membership. But wait, there’s more… more fees that is. To use products on your face during your facial, Massage Envy Facial charges $ 10 more. So cleanser, toner, moisturizers not included but charged at $ 10 more. Would you like a cup with that hot coffee or should we just pour it down your throat? Oh, and they gave me a «be my guest» card to give to a close friend or maybe someone I just want to irritate that reads«$ 59.99 introductory 1-hour Murad Healthy skin facial session». No mention of that pesky product fee but it is there.
