I’ve always liked this place, though they never seem to have the book I’m looking for, it never stopped me from frequenting it when I run low on incense or need the right gift for a loved one. Now that they’ve moved to a safer part of town near Kirby, it’s a cozy place, and down the street from Borders — if I still can’t find a particular book at MM(sorry). The staff is always friendly. And I really adore the psychics that work there — especially Sandra(the best psychic medium I had the pleasure of consulting). The only quibble I have with Metaphysical Matrix, and it’s a small one, is that they need to rid themselves of the books that don’t move, and make room for more that can. I’d like to see more tarot books or more on yoga or the Qabalah. But that’s just me, and I have my preferences. Overall, I’m glad that such a place exists and the right folks operate it. I look forward to seeing it grow even more.

Yippee this shop moved from Fondren to Kirby! I bought two tarot books, incense and mini chimes for my rear view mirror. I spent an hour inside. Lot’s of cool stuff. Could use a more mystical vibe though. But I will for sure go back.

This store is like Target for your metaphysical(and New Age) needs. The real reason to visit may be their bizarre-o sparkly energy pyramid in the middle of the store — you have to go stand under it and see what happens.(Let me know!) Here are some things that they offer: Kabbalah Tools Original Artwork Incense Books Jewelry Minerals Dowsing Rods Gemstones Pendulums Essential Oils Tibetan Bowls Candles Feng Shui Tools …getting the idea? Remember when Borders had that esoterica/magic section a while back(like 15 years ago)? It’s kind of like that grew into a whole store and accessorized. Lots of stuff here that you’ve probably never seen before, and helpful staff.
