Montrose Shop

Was looking for a Christmas gift for my dad and he loved his watch! They even wrap up the gift! Thank you Montrose!

Sorry to have to do this, but…
I purchased a gift here for my fiancée for Christmas. Decided it wasn’t the right thing and wanted to return it. Shame on me, I guess.
Two things:
1) They only have a 14 day return period (so don’t plan ahead and buy your gift too soon before you’re ready to give it (this is apparently «waived» for Christmas — how nice).
2) They ONLY offer store credit for returns! No matter what. WHAT?! Is this the 1980s and I’m shopping at a store that offers lay-​a-​way? It may be their store policy, but it’s on a very tiny sign under the check out iPad screen (and you only see it when it’s pointed out to you when you try to make the return).
I can only assume that a business that forces one to keep their money in that store (i.e store credit) does NOT believe enough in their products to feel that a customer would return and needs to FORCE them to buy something from them. Well, that may work once, but not twice. I’ll use my store credit so they don’t just get my money for zero goods purchased, but after that is used up I certainly will NOT be returning.
Thanks for nothing, owners. Businesses that do not truly listen to what their customers are saying are doomed to fail. Good luck!

This shop is a great concept — a lifestyle store embracing the minimal trend. Here you’ll find neutral colors and all things aesthetically clean with Instagram photo ops at every turn.
Montrose Shop is located right on the Westheimer strip across from Agora in an old converted house. They carry a small selection of women’s clothing along with home goods and fun, personal items. I would say all the clothing they carry is «designer» with prices starting at $ 100 for a basic tee up to $ 200 – 300 for nicer tops and dresses. It would definitely be nice if they carried clothing for everyone’s budget, as I’m always on the look out for small «indie» brands.
This is a fairly new store and I’m excited to see where they go in the future!

Easily one of my favorite shops in Houston, and it’s only been around for a few months. Some of the nicest people work here too!
This store is perfect for people looking for a minimalistic, classic, selection of clothes and home goods that you can use year round.
It’s aesthetic is clean and simple, yet artistic. I absolutely love this shop! I highly recommend it.

What a hidden gem of Montrose. Love the Simplistic design and concept. The bf and I stopped by here on our morning run and were very impressed by what we found inside. They sell a variety of items ranging from clothing and jewelry to coffee table books and candles. I got the green tea lemongrass soy candle that smells amazing.

With looks to kill, Montrose Shop will not disappoint. Classic, clean lines and minimalism is surely the store’s MO. From quality home goods, clothing to accessories, you are bound to prance out with a GREAT buy.
