Great prices and selection of dishes.
A little restaurant located around the intersection of Beltway8 and Antoine you might have had this bookmarked for a while and seen it change names three or four times in a couple of years. I decided to try this before it changes. The front of the restaurant does not do justice for the inside, it’s actually a little larger than you might first think.
There place is very Hispanic from the interior, the jukebox music, food and clientele. Don’t worry, they do speak inglis’ aqui pero tambien otro cultures can be found at given times as well. Tip, if you don’t like loud blasting music do not sit at any of the tables by the door left side. That thing turns on unexpectedly.
A favorite food that is not always found in these restaurants is Chiliquilles *sp?*; it consists of corn tortilla strips oil fried till crunch with a red or green type salsa mixed in for that texture type crunch and wet feel. Usually accompanied by a dollop of crème, two fried eggs (warning, ask for sunny up or over easy if you prefer your eggs like that or it will come over hard) and for $ 2 breakfast meat.
Cleanliness is not usually a problem here and the tables are usually busted on my morning visits.
Pricing is decent if not in fact a little cheaper than the average Mexican restaurant.
