Omg. The ahi poke here is one of my go-to favorite ones in HB. Service is amazing and definitely deserves the 5 stars!

This place deserves 5 stars for the service alone. I ate here a couple of weeks ago for a friends birthday. She had about 20 guests, and the table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. A girl in the party had brought a homemade carrot cake for the birthday celebrant, and the owner of the restaurant offered to keep it in their cooler while we ate. Every one of the staff members was friendly, personable, and patient. The food came quickly after we ordered, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I ordered the Bollywood fries with secret sauce, which was really flavorful. I also ordered the«chop chop» salad, which I felt could’ve used a few more ingredients to add more texture and flavor, but it was still good; the lettuce was cut very fine and was dressed perfectly. The portions of the dishes were just right. I didn’t order any drinks because I was DD for the night, but I saw they had a pretty solid craft beer selection and was told they also had a list of rotating craft beers. As our table was being cleared, the owner and wait staff brought the homemade cake out with candles already lit for my friend to blow them out. Afterward, they sliced and plated the cake for each guest, along with some caramel drizzle and powdered sugar. I was definitely impressed at this point, as they could have just gave us a knife and plates to let us serve the cake ourselves, especially since it wasn’t a cake we purchased from the restaurant. The ambiance was casual but could easily be used as a date spot. It wasn’t too dark or loud, just perfect enough to have fun and easily carry a conversation over some drinks. All in all, a great experience. I rarely write reviews. I mostly use Unilocal to help me choose places. Outstanding customer service isn’t always easy to find nowadays, so I really only write reviews when a place blows me away(usually customer service related), and The Red Table definitely did that.

Jeremiah, Shelby, Cory and Eddie have never let me down. What a great little gem in my new neighborhood! Great food but even better service. Want an experience watching a craft cocktail being prepared barside? This is your place!

Red Table is one of my favorite lunch spots. Lots of seating room, very nice interior and atmosphere, and plenty of parking. The food and desserts are amazing. Everything on the menu is familiar, yet with their own special twist. So far I have tried a few different dishes and everything tasted great. You can tell that the chef and cooks take pride in their work and stay creative. If I wasn’t on a diet, I’d venture into the rest of the menu as well. Can’t wait! The only dish I didn’t enjoy as much was the ahi poke. Everything was fresh, but it was too salty. Easing up on the soy sauce would help. It comes with a side of eggplant chips, which sounded interesting, except that they are fried and greasy. It would be great if less salty and less greasy. One of my favorite desserts is the tres leches cake, and it is amazing.(I can’t say ‘no’ to this one!)The whipped cream is made from scratch, fruit topping is fresh, and vanilla sauce is delicious. This is a must-try. Their crème brule with shortcake cookie crust is also great. Nothing is overly sweet, so you enjoy the flavors and textures as well. Very satisfying. Their servers are very quick, polite, friendly and attentive. It’s always a positive experience. If you haven’t tried this place, it’s time you do!

Neat restaurant in Huntington Harbor area. Wait staff was slightly off on a busy Friday night, but ambience is really fun and young, food was really good, especially the fried pork belly and desserts(very big). Food wasn’t expensive at all. Fun place to go with friends.

This place is great! The food is delicious, the staff is great, and the wine/beer selection is superb too. Try the deviled eggs if you go here– you won’t be disappointed.

Love the décor, but the place is really loud. We arrived on a Friday evening around 6:30 and were told that the wait was at least 45 minutes. So, we proceeded to the bar and grabbed a seat there. The service was so SLOW. Ridiculously SLOW. Seemed the bartenders couldn’t keep up and the place isn’t even that big. The food we ordered: Cheap dates– bacon was pretty much burnt, didn’t care for these Deviled eggs– lacked any flavor, don’t waste your time ordering these Crispy Brussels sprouts– Brussel sprouts were delicious, but the onion rings it comes with were under cooked and cold. Pork belly — AMAZING and mouthwatering I’d go back for pork belly because I think it’s one of the best I’ve had in the OC; however, that’s the only reason I’d return.

They have a 2 sllices deal with a drink – I asked for coffee instead. Brewed using a keurig. That’s what I got and that’s what I’ll base my review off of. Pizza was delicious! I got Hawaiian and an artichoke with pesto pizza. Again, delicious. Bottom line, it’s worth your consideration. As far as everything else? Ambience, environment – pleasant and presentable – think sporty side but not like a bar. Service? Friendly and polite. Bring the family. Bring a date. Bring yourself. It’s worth your money.

I made a reservation for 5 well in advance to celebrate my own Mother’s Day. I was concerned that the only menu offering would be brunch with it being a Sunday so I called and spoke to someone on 4/27…because I knew we would prefer lunch at 1:00 pm. She wasn’t sure so she said she would check with the manager and she did and left me a message that the regular menu and brunch would be available on Mother’s Day. We get there and are told by the host that it’s brunch only. Then a manager comes and I play her the message and she agrees to honor both menus but that it may take longer if we order regular food. Then we waited and waited for a server to even take our order. I don’t know-this really put a damper on our entire dining experience and my Mother’s Day lunch. The food was good and that red velvet cake might be reason enough to come back-but I doubt it.

I’ve been back many times and they are always really good, not excellent, but maybe my original review of 3 stars was a little harsh. They’re definitely a great local alternative for a nicer dinner out.

Here’s the thing; if you were to judge Red Table in a vacuum, it would probably be all right. There is nothing about the place that is horribly negative. Well, outside of the fact that you can’t watch the Angels game here. I’m serious. We asked the barkeep if he could put on the Angels game and he said, «We don’t get that channel.» Wait, what? Fox Sports West might be one of the easiest channels to get. We’re almost at a point of our life where we will be streaming sports on our phones. And yet, this bougy spot in the heart of Orange County, Angels Country, can’t show the game? Seriously. So you lose some points there. And I know it’s a small point. Maybe unfair. But listen, I’m allowed to make my own judgement on places and if not being able to watch a ballgame impacts my dining experience, I feel like I need to report it. If this stuff doesn’t bother you, then it’s not going to be a big deal. But here is my basic gripe with Red Table. Again, if you just wanted to judge it on the food in a blind taste test, it should probably rate a little higher. But I’m going to give it downgraded marks on what this place is supposed to be. This is supposed to be a nice little gastropub with exceptional food. And outside of the bacon-wrapped dates, I haven’t found it. The food is fine, but nothing really stands out. It’s better than eating at a QSR, for sure. But when judged against it’s peers, like Stacked, The Hangout Too and Slater’s, this place is a distant fourth. Although this place is higher priced than all of the perviously mentioned locations. I would rather walk over to Slice of New York and have a pie instead of going to Red Table. If there were a group of people going out for a birthday celebration, I wouldn’t object to go here. I would feel even better if somebody was going to spring for it. But with my budget and limited chances to go out(because I have a newborn), this isn’t going to be on the top of my list to go to. In fact, I’m surprised that when the wife and I are trying to find a place to eat, we never suggest Red Table. Mostly because we want something a little more competitively priced. Or if we are going to really blow out the budget, we’d set our sights a little bit higher. Like Romano Cucina(or whatever it’s called now) or something.

Came into Red Table on a whim. I was looking to kill an hour while my 10 year old son was at a Get Air birthday party. I searched Unilocal and chose Red Table over Harbour Rackhouse(previosly House of Brews which is in the same shopping center). I’m glad I did. Service was great, beer choices were decent and happy hour menu was pretty good. I had the Table Hamburger slider and the Bacon Mac and Cheese off the Happy Hour menu. The Mac and Cheese could have been shared with another person, it was such a large portion. Other Unilocal reviewers have mentioned that the mac and cheese would be better baked. I think it seems a little«runny» because it needs to sit a bit. So, if you have the patience to let the mac and cheese sit for 5 or 10 mins while you enjoy your drink or other menu item, it becomes a perfect consistency and flavor. I would come again when in the area.

The atmosphere is a little dark but adds to the romantic mood of the evening. Last night was our second visit to Red Table. We were celebrating Valentine’s day and enjoyed our previous visit so we thought we would return. The staff was very attentive and we we not lacking anything. I chose the Winemaker burger and my girlfriend, the steak sandwich. I had the burger on our previous visit so I knew it would be good. It does not disappoint! It is a little difficult to eat as the sauce causes the bun to get soggy. Still, the taste is sooo good! My girlfriend enjoyed her steak sandwich. I did not get to sample that one. Maybe next time. The fries while pricey they are very good also. I had the garlic fries and my girlfriend the Samurai fries. I rather enjoyed the Samurai fries more than the garlic fries. A little too much flavor there. If the prices were a bit lower, we would make this a regular dinner spot.

I had occasion to host a mid week luncheon for 60 guests at Red Table. Manager Donna was such a delight to work with. She assisted me in choosing menu items for my guests; she brought in extra staff to ensure prompt service on the day of the event; she worked at bussing tables, running food, poured libations at the bar. Owner Sandy offered welcomes at the door and was very supportive of the staff. I have frequented the Red Table occasionally for HH and have encountered them at the annual Taste of Huntington Beach. I appreciate the support they proffer to the HB community. It was refreshing to work with management that were available, returned phone calls in a timely manner and offered innovative guidance to ensure the success of my event. The food was delicious! The service was stellar! I STRONGLY recommend this venue. Thank you Donna and staff!

This place is gem! I came on a Tuesday night around 5:30 and it was not crowded at all. Our party was greeted & we got a table for 6 right away right in the back. Service: 5⁄5 Service was on point! I am happy we came here on a night that was not busy at all. Our server recommended some great dishes and was prompt with everything. Food came out quickly too! A little sad that they did not have the stoopid fries to try but that’s ok! On to the FOOD: Brussel Sprouts & Onions: 5⁄5 Good size portion to share with a group! These brussels were poppin with flavor and the fried onions on top was a nice texture to the dish. I would recommend these! Deviled Eggs: 3⁄5 I was not too impressed by the eggs. They were nicely presented but to be honest I would prefer homemade ones without all the bacon bits and sauce. In my opinion, save your money and try another dish. Poke Appetizer: 5⁄5 A nice portion of poke paired with fried eggplant. These two babies combined equals the perfect combo in your mouth. Eat the eggplant while it comes out hot cause once it gets cold it just does not taste the same when put together. Truffle Bacon Mac n Cheese: 4⁄5 Personally, I am more of a baked mac n cheese fan. This dish has spiral noodles in a tasty truffle cheese sauce. I did like the dish but have had better mac n cheese. The portion is not as generous as the other dishes but still worth trying if you are a mac n cheese fan. Meatball Sliders: 3⁄5 One order comes with 3 sliders and paired with a tomato sauce. The artisan bun was a little hard. Therefore I ate the meatball with no top bun so goes to say, I was not a big fan of this dish. Cheap date: 5⁄5 Can’t go wrong with a cheap date ;) Get these. The dates are perfectly wrapped in nice juicy bacon. Dipped in the mascarpone, yas. Garlic Fries: 4⁄5 Delicious fries with white truffle oil & bleu cheese crumbles. These were easy to munch. I liked how they had the perfect amount of crunch &flavor. BLT Flatbread: 3.5÷5 Don’t get my wrong, it was tasty. And I appreciate the creative aspect of turning a BLT sandwich into a pizza. The thick layers of bacon did speak do me but overall I just thought this flatbread was average. Chimichurri Steak: 5⁄5 Got our steak medium rare. Served with charred green beans and mash potatoes. Surprise! The mash potatoes are mixed with pieces of corn. So yummy. If you are sharing, ask for the steak to be cut up beforehand. It makes it a lot easier to share, especially if you are doing family style.

Still 5 stars in my book. Today we celebrated two birthdays, and, as in past, the complimentary crème brule was to die for. TY Red Table! Chicken pot pie was on the menu today, so we shared.(thank goodness!) Please do not order this alone. It’s like a family style CPP, but for $ 27… it’s truly worth every bite. and you’ll probably have enough for a doggie bag, too! Share the house special salad as a guilt-free accompaniment, which is a deal for $ 5. Party of 6 today… Grilled cheese with tomato bisque, Veggie flat bread pizza, Meatball sandwich and Steak salad, which all had great reviews. … keep forgetting to ask for the fresh pickles. I really want to try them! ;-(

Red Table is OFFTHEHOOK!!! My BFF’S & I ordered the poke appetizer, spinach salad & special pasta/entrée. Tonight, Chef treated us to Grilled Lamb served on top of mashed potatoes with a side of Squash Ravioli… OMG!!! Just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, we just couldn’t resist their signature ‘Cupcake’ along with the Trio platter(bite size Tiramisu, Baklava & Cannoli) Special shoutout of gratitude to BEN who anticipated our every need & even let us hang out after hours… YOUROCK!!! This corner neighborhood eatery is one of OC’S BEST hidden gems!!!

LOVETHISPLACE! I’m so glad I moved in the harbour! EVERYTHING about this place is amazing! The service and food is fantastic! Must order the Winemaker burger, bacon wrapped dates and sweet potato fries. The winemaker burger just so delicious and melts in your mouth. Flavors and juiciness is on point! I’m not a really big fan of dates, but its covered in BACON! who would’ve thought this combo goes great?! Sweet potato fries is amazing with the aioli dipping sauce! I’ve also tried the meatball sliders.. .its good. But not as good as the winemaker burger!

I’ve written several updates over the last few years about Red Table. I’ve posted lots of pics over the years. At one point this was my husbands and my favorite restaurant, and we ate here at least once a week. It has been quite a while since we have visited Red Table, and last week we decided to give them another go. Sadly, Red Table seems to be missing something here, and that something is Chef Louie Jocson. It is just not the same anymore. My husband was less than thrilled with his meal, and I ordered the roasted chicken entrée. They probably could have called this the Sahara chicken, because this stuff was duh-rye!

You never know what you find in a strip mall. lucky you’re in for a treat here @ RT. a trendy spot in an otherwise quiet corner of HB. Menu is varied with fried Brussels sprouts $ 12 and lobster mac n cheese. $ 32 Or a nice T-bone steak.&36 I’m partial to the Malbec by the glass $ 10 or the bottle $ 36– Tinto negro, reserva. The bar menu is very good as well. With the basic burger n house fries. Or short ribs and salmon medallions. I do think that they try too hard. Else I’d give them the 5th star. That and they are closed for every holiday.

I like coming here for the ambiance My girlfriend and I ended up here for some wine. They ran out of the one I wanted and gave me one that wasn’t to par but I enjoyed it anyways. We also shared some deviled eggs and roasted beets. The deviled eggs were okay. They were a little bland for my liking. The roasted beets were awesome. This place is low key and imitate. They have a large bar inside and plenty of tables. The service has always been awesome. The crowd is normally locals. They have a large wine list and alcohol menu to choose from. Food items include many items to share, such as fries, crab cakes, bacon wrapped dates, and meatball sliders. Other items include pizzas, burgers and pastas. The pricing is pretty average. The restaurant is located behind the Trader Joe’s plaza.
