Went to this great Mex place because I had a coupon from the entertainment book purchased from Groupon. To my surprise was my Bother and his family eating at this local Huntington beach restaurant. Ordered margaritas and enjoyed a very tasty red sauce enchilada with rice and beans. It was super delish and Maggies were yummy and refreshing after a hot summer day at the beach. The service was friendly, inviting and accommodating. Definitely worth a five star rating. This outstanding mexican restaurant gets the buenos nachos award. Sombreros off to you! You must try.

If you are looking for a casual place with great Mexican food, this is a place your should try. We have been here well over 100 times and we keep going back. The service is as good as it gets and the manager (Joe) continues to make his customers comfortable due to his follow up and ensuring all is to your satisfaction. Enjoy the food and service!

My boyfriend and I have been going to Rodrigo’s when it was Don Jose’s. Tonight we went here for my pre-​birthday dinner, and once again Rodrigo’s came through!
Food is always delicious! Carnitas are the bomb!

The staff are fast, courteous and very accommodating (asked for honey for my hot green tea, didn’t have honey, but they gave me agave syrup)

Usually have gone here for dinner, but I saw that they have a lunch express special for $ 7.75 from 11am — 4pm Mon thru Fri. Love everything about the place!

I came here with a large group. Had the beef fajitas. Also ordered 2 different kind of margaritas. I must say the fajitas were not sizzling when the server brought them to my table. The margaritas were the weakest for what I paid for them. All in all, service was satisfactory but the food was just so so for high priced Mexican food. As for the drinks, I can’t believe it they really take customers by serving weak drinks when one pays full price for the drinks. Not going back to this place.

Consistently good food and service. They have a decent happy hour deal with huge servings. My husband told me not to post so we could keep it a secret!

I’ve used to love this place and used to come here ALL the time. My rating has nothing to do with the food. The food is ALWAYS great, the service is ALWAYS great. The last three times I’ve come here whether 3pm, 7pm or even 5pm: we’ve sat in the diningroom and in the bar area. It was sooo loud you couldn’t carry on a conversation with the person across from you. You may think that it’s not the restaurants responsibility to make it a decent volume. There are things they can do: all of the bar and seating areas have open ceilings. Small things make a big difference. I guess I’ll have to reserve myself to sudstandard Mexican food so I can have a decent conversation. I’ll miss you.

Been eating here many years even when it was Don Jose’s. Food has always been very good. Service is excellent. The staff is always accommodating even when the restaurant is busy. Parking is not a problem. Chips and Salsa always served and refills are never a problem.

Rodrigos is my husbands favorite Mexican restaurant. Not sure if it’s because of the coupons and reasonable prices but he likes to go once a week. The food is pretty decent for the price. Chips and salsa are good. My favorite is the seafood chalupa salad. The shrimp is delicious. Their fish tacos are also excellent. The service is always top notch especially if you sit in the bar area.

We love this place the Fajitas are the best chips and salsa are great and plentiful. I love the Strawberry lemon aid. But the best thing is the service is excellent the best of the best waiter is Jose V

Ive been here a couple of times and they have pretty decent mexican food. The restaurant is big and the bar area is my favorite area to sit at. There are plenty of televisions and tables. The margaritas are strong and the waiters are very kind. The service is fast and great! I had several problems with my order and they didn’t hesitate to fix it. The last time i came here i got a chalupa seafood salad and it was pretty decent. They just forgot to put salad dressing in my salad so i had to ask for some. Also they have the best refried beans ever so i always get an extra side of that with my salad. I would definitely come back if I’m craving Mexican food and am in the area :)

Just like the many other places I’ve driven by for years, I finally stopped in to have dinner with my family and I’m so happy we did. Everything was perfect, the service, the food, the drinks, the price was a bit higher than we would normally pay but seriously, the food is so freaking good, I didn’t mind.
No complaints around the table, we’ll be back for sure.

I like this place because it was clean and the worriers are very attentive to your needs! The menu had a variety of things to choose from.
The Mexican pizza was delicious. The happy hours are 3 – 6 and the menu for that looks great.

Beautiful restaurant. Service was excellent, but it wasn’t that busy. It was around 6pm on a Monday night, so I don’t know what it’s like when it’s busy. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.
What we ordered:
Arroz con Pollo y Camarones — I’ve never had this before, but it was really good.
Chili Colorado Burrito — Wet with cheese. Not very big, but still really good.
Chicken Enchilada — Really good. I love their sauce. It was thick and rich, but not overpowering with flavor or salt. I don’t like when the sauce overpowers the dish and all you taste is salt and sauce! So, this was perfect.
Salmon Salad — my mom had this and seemed to really like it. It looked really fresh.
2 Micheladas for me — These were really good. Sometimes, they can be very light and sometimes very rich and dark. These were on the darker side with more tomato. I like both types. And every place makes them different. You just have to find your favorite.
Overall all I would give this place 4 ½ stars, but it wasn’t up there with my all time favorites, so I’ll go with 4 stars.

I love Mexican food, and personally I feel that the best is usually from a somewhat dingy little hole in the wall taqueria, but it was my SIL’s birthday, so we were looking for something a little nicer, and I remembered Chris and Donna D’s review, and steered us here.
Very decent salsa and chips. I really enjoyed the salsa. I went with the lunch special that offered a cheese enchilada and a shredded beef taco. All was very decent for «Americanized» Mexican food. The star of the lunch howeve were my husbands Beef Fajitas. These Fajitas were amazing! They were served with beans, guacamole, pico, and sour cream. Since I don’t eat much, he was able to help me out of a few scoops of rice, and was a super happy camper! Clean plate club.
Service was awesome, and the restaurant was quite busy.

The best Mexican food; my favorite Mexican restaurant; every time I travel to California it is a must stop multiple times in a trip if possible.
The salsa is unbeatable.
I suggest the botana platter as a meal with leftovers

They make real delicious margaritas here which was the highlight of my lunch. I had the 40^th anniversary margarita ($ 9.50), and my friend had the cadillac ($ 8.50). They don’t list the prices of the margaritas on the menu. I don’t really like that, luckily they were good.
Their lunch specials are fairly priced at $ 7.95 and you have many different dishes to choose from. A friend and I split their chicken fajitas and it was a dinner sized portion of food. Perfect to split. Nothing noteworthy about the food, but it did the job at a decent price. Service was attentive and friendly, server came back about 3 times before the check just to check in on us.

I have been here twice and both times I ordered the Pasilla Stuffed Pepper. This is by far the best I’ve ever had. authentic Mexican restaurant. They are not pricey at all. The staff is friendly and always checking in with you to make sure you don’t need anything else. Def recommend this place. Wish they had this in LA.

We went for dinner on GF’s 50^th birthday and waited some time for the last one third of our party to arrive. They were riding bikes and were two and half hours late. So that experience detracts from my review, but the food was really good, and the staff patient with us and the 4-​yr old in the high chair.
We ordered food for our late party, anticipating their arrival in moments, but it took them another 40 minutes, but when they did arrive, the staff asked if they could warm up the food for us. Awesome service!

I came here during lunch with 15 other people on a Monday
We were seated immediately and given chips and salsa with water. I ended up ordering the two chicken tacos off of their lunch menu. It was a huge plate and my two tacos were stuffed packed. It was super filling. On top of that it came with a lot of rice and beans which I didn’t even touch since I was so full. The only complaint about my food was that it was a little dry. Also I asked for crispy tacos but it was a little to greasy for my liking.
I love their lunch menu here. Everything is about $ 7 – 10 and all the plates had so much food. Even my girlfriend’s quesadilla was enormous. Other entrees were about $ 10-​$ 20 on their regular menu. They have a huge selection and you are bound to find something you like. The service was excellent. They were really on top of us and everything came promptly. The inside of this place is large so I have never had to wait for a seat here.
