Del Taco

I should have listened to the other reviewers before coming to this location. .absolutely horrible! The service was slow, my order was wrong TWICE, and when I finally asked for a refund I got attitude and excuses.

I asked for a green burrito with NO cheese because I am allergic. And French fries well done. The French fries were cold and soggy when I got them and my burrito came with a bunch of cheese in it and no green sauce. I order the same thing every time and this del taco always manages to screw up our orders. Not to mention the lady who was taking my order from the drive through had an attitude and was unhappy with me repeating my order to her because she said it wrong the first time. I can’t even eat my food that I paid for thanks to the chick that doesn’t know how to put in an order.

Food is del taco food so no complaint there. But could your drive thru be any slower. Wow I saw 8 cars go thru the new Dunkin Donuts next door in the time it took two cars to go thru this Del Taco. You would think after a long time in the drive up by the time I get to the window it would be done. No another 5 minutes for them to make it…

They might hire someone in the drive thru that listens when you place your order so you don’t have to keep repeating themselves. No wonder the drive thru is backed up with cars wrapped around the building. Makes me wonder if they’ll get my beyond simple order correct, even though I had to repeat it 3 times for two items.

ordered a quesadilla bold and not only was I charged for a bold quesadilla that wasn’t bold, the cheese in the quesadilla wasn’t even melted at all! I watched the counter girl try to hand the cook French fries to put in the quesadilla and when he didn’t accept she laughed and shoved the quesadilla in the bag. very careless customer service.

Bad customer service, when you orders it take so long because the workers chit chat. never come here again

This review has nothing to do with the food here. It’s Del Taco, I get what I expect… if I actually get it!
This review is more about the customer service here, or lack there of. On several different occasions, I have pulled into the drive thru without ever being acknowledged. Other times, not even close to the speaker and I can hear them asking to take my order. When I yell I am not quite to the window yet, I doubt it goes unheard. Most times, I get ignored again. This has happened on several different occasions and in various different vehicles.
Even when I have pulled up to the window after not being able to place my order at the speaker, no one is ever there. I have driven off angry on a few occasions, but no more. The thing that really gets me is that there is a large window that employees can clearly see the drive thru and the vehicles in it. Yet, they do nothing. I have even made eye contact and waved, but that just seems to bother them.
But lastly, when I have gotten «lucky» enough to place my order, 2 things I have been able to count on always happen. One, I always get cut off before I can finish my order, and two, I always have to double check everything since it rarely comes as ordered. It’s not that I ever ask to add/​remove something from an order, it’s that if I order tacos, I get burritos. If I order a iced tea, I get a shake. If I order 4 or something, I get one. But one thing for sure is I always get at least half of the bag filled with hot sauce. Guess it makes it harder to check your order before you go home and realize that it’s all wrong!
Finally after being ignored again at the drive thru I just gave up on this location. This Del Taco is the closest one to where I live, but now I purposely make the drive to a different location. I don’t expect fast food places to be 5 star quality, but this place takes bad customer service to a whole new level.

Ok now they have me a spoon to eat my chili cheese fries on the plus side they gave me more hot sauce… For my chili cheese fries? Lol ok.

Not sure what’s up with this location but for the 3^rd time now we’ve sat in the drive thru with no one there. We honk, yell… and nada. Pull up to the window and… nada again. No one’s there!
When they have been there, they seem to be incapable of getting an order correct. Order meat? Expect chicken. Order tea? Expect pepsi. Order 2 burritos? Expect 1 taco. Absolutely ridiculous. We’re more than happy to drive father to the Warner/​Springdale location where they are awesome!

This is the stingiest del taco I have ever been to. Everytime I come they ask me, at the order box, if I want ketchup and hot sauce. Yes. Of course I do. They always, ALWAYS, give me 1 packet of each. Just one! Once they gave me two. Oh so generous. And then of course I have to ask for more and they give me one more. Seriously?! Who uses one packet of ketchup for a whole order of fries! If you come here be sure to specify, «I want 5 ketchups and 3 hot sauces» and double check your bag.
Also, there’s one guy at the drive thru in particular who was working today when I went that is just unpleasant. I know it’s fast food but a smile and a thank you or have a good day would be appreciated over the mopey irritated look on his face. He especially looks annoyed when I have to flag him back to the window to ask for more ketchup and sauce. Maybe if he waited a split second to make sure I didn’t need to ask for anything else or just gave out a normal amount of sauces then I wouldn’t have to ‘bother’ him. AND he didn’t give me my receipt. Thanks a lot, lazy. I guess you’re hoarding the printer receipt paper too.
I think I’d rather brave the traffic and go way out of my way to go the the del taco on Beach Blvd. Much better there.

First of all, I’m upset because I ordered a chicken soft taco and they didn’t put any white sauce in it! The sauce is what makes the chicken soft taco too. (See the picture I posted.) I am reading other reviews and I noticed that other reviewers have the same problem! How can they continue to not train their employees properly or even attempt a change? From the sound of it, this specific location is lacking morale and concern for their customers! I doubt that I will be coming back to this specific location.
What I also didn’t like:
1. I thought the taco shells on the standard tacos here were pretty stale. I’m not sure if it’s this particular location, or if it is all Del Taco locations.
2. The french fries were under cooked and soggy. Yuck.
What I like about Del Taco (Not this location in particular):
1. Del Scorcho hot sauce.
2. Veggies/​Cheese tastes fresh.
3. 24 Hour drive through.
4. Taco Tuesday!
5. Size portions are larger than other places.

Del taco is one of my favorite fast food places. Well last week, one of my orders was wrong, which rarely happens at this location. I came back a few days later and explained the situation. Marlen, the employee working when I came back, was super accommodating. She was more than happy to correct the mistake. People make mistakes and that’s ok, but it’s about how you fix them. This is why del taco is my choice when I grab some food after work.

I really like this new Del Taco. I don’t eat fast food often, but when I do it’s usually Del.
This place is a nice size, clean, food comes out pretty fast and is fresh — as in it is made as you order and hasn’t been sitting under heat lamps all day.
My favorite part is the abundance of Del Scorcho: the employees don’t act like they’re getting 5 cents deducted from they’re paycheck just because some of us need like a million packets of the stuff.

How hard is it to put sour cream in a burrito, they don’t forget to charge you but every single time I come here they put the smallest amount I think from now on I’m gonna have to ask for a side order of sour cream.

I waited 14 minutes for my food. I thought this was a fast food establishment?! Then when my order came up, my fries were cold. Clearly they let them sit on the tray for 10 min while the rest of my order was prepared. Food was ok. (After I got got fries) Restaurant was clean. Customer service and speed of service needs some work!

This Del Taco is part of a new concept that Del Taco is striving for — that their food is made fresh and you can see it being made, etc.
I was invited to take a tour of the new redesign and I can happily say that I’m now more of a fan than before.
This location has an open kitchen that shows fresh beans being slow roasted, big wheels of cheese being grated fresh, and also fresh veggies being chopped and prepared. We also saw fresh cuts of meat in the glass door fridge and saw how that was handled too. Kinda gives you a whole new impression of fast food.
I tried some of the newer menu items like the epic burritos and the turkey tacos. I was impressed with both and loved that the turkey had plenty of flavor — didn’t miss the beef at all! I was also impressed with their burger; I’ve never thought of ordering the burger here but damn, it was soooo good!
In time, all Del Tacos will look like this one and you will be able to take a tour upon request if you’re skeptical like I was.

The store looks really clean. It is clean.
Unfortunately, the shift manager just took out the trash then immediately ran into taking orders on the register. Then packing food orders.
The problem isn’t that he did that, the problem is that Omar didn’t address any problems with it. He said that money is just as dirty as the garbage. I asked him if he touched the food after handling money, he said yes. This is obvious a food safety issue and would get his Food Protection Manager Cert license revoked.
Again, the main issue wasn’t him going from garbage to food. It was him not agreeing that it was dirty. He must’ve repeated that «money is just as dirty», 5 times. So yeah, if you get food poisoning when you come here.
You know why. Omar and his staff are very, very ignorant of the fact that washing your hands can help people. What if a child are here after encountering this shift manager?
How did he become a shift manager if he doesn’t even know basic food serving procedure?
And yes I am going to report this to corporate, because I have friends that own multiple DelTaco locations. A schmuck like this will get people hurt and cost lots.

This brand new Del Taco just opened down the street from work/​school/​home — at the corner of Goldenwest + McFadden (in the Fresh and Easy shopping center). Not sure why, but the Google Maps placement of this location is incorrect. I’m actually happy this Del Taco is here — when they removed the other Del Taco off of Gothard and Center Ave last year — I was afraid I’d have to remove Del Taco from my diet.
The interior is clean, and what stands out is that each table has a basket full of Del Taco’s yummy sauces — Original (Mild), Medium, Hot and just plain ketchup. I like that touch — it keeps patrons from having to pick up too much or too little at the counter.
The dining room closes late — 12am each night, but the drive through is open 24 hours a day.
The staff is friendly and happy. Unfortunately on my particular visit, my order was filled incorrectly and I didn’t find out until after I had left the premises and was in my car, on the way home. A bit disappointing, but wasn’t worth driving back to deal with it. Lesson learned — check your bag before you leave (I ordered to-​go) next time.
Ample parking up front as it shares the lot with the other businesses in the center.

OK– I know… it’s fricken Del Taco, not the Ritz, but sometimes, your just in a rush, and need something to hold you over until that next meal at the Ritz.
This brand new building on Goldenwest and McFadden took the place of Henry’s Drive through. It is clean, and has ample parking. It shares a parking lot with Harbor Freight and Fresh and Easy.
Del Taco is pretty consistent, so I have nothing bad to say about their food. Their service seemed super slow, and they seemed to be paying more attention to the drive through, and not the customers dining in. It took over 10 minutes to get my breakfast burrito.

CLEAN. FAST. GREAT SERVICE!
im so happy to have a del taco by my school. ill have del taco over taco bell any day. the ingredients are much fresher and flavorful.
my top three favorite items are the fish taco, chicken ranch soft taco, and the poppers. everything is under $ 2. what a steal!
i love the del scorchio hot sauce! great fast service and convenient location it’s right next to golden west college and the drive-​thru starbucks.
