Surf City Run 5k and Kids Run

This is my first Surf City 5k run. They do this every July 4^th that includes an exclusive Huntington Beach residents race only, the open race and the Stroller Run.
Besides the 5k races, they also have the kids mile and half mile run.
It’s definitely a fast pace course as the runners go through downtown Huntington Beach, then to PCH and back.
Post race festivities include a bunch of booths with free water, protein bars, some coconut water and other businesses.
People stick around after the race to get ready for the July 4^th parade and fireworks show. Medals only given to the top 3 finishers in each age group.
The Surf City Run benefits the Huntington Beach Jr. Lifeguard program.
