Went here last night and was very very disappointed. 1st the place looks old and dirty. We actually got a seat at the bar. Had a few drinks and ordered food. A burger with fries and wings… Waited for about 45 – 60 min. for our food and the bartender knew something was wrong when we did not see him for 10 min. He went into the back to I guess find out what happened… The lady then brought only our wings which looked like they tossed it into the plate from someone elses dish. I mean come on you see wings on a dish and you have some celery on there and no blue cheese? Ohhh wait. there was blue cheese and it was already on the celery confirming this was from someone else dish. We quickly said sorry we are not eating this and do not even bring out our burger… We asked for the check and she actually had the nerve to say«I took the food off of the bill» and they still charged us for our drinks. The guy finally came back over and apologized and I actually had to say what the lady said. He did do the right thing and charged us half of our bill which was $ 10. This is the only reason I am giving it 2 stars and not 1.

Really good spot for regulars or if you just want a good drink at good prices. The staff is generally very cool — especially the bartender Danielle.

Finnegans is a place where one is always welcomed. Families, strangers, everyone has a place at the bar or at a table. Tom welcomes everyone. When family arrives from upstate or California they end up here. Also, Finnegan’s was the the site of a commercial featuring baymen and beer. Huntington clams are the best!

Had burgers that were typical of a pub. Not bad service. Fries were crisp and good. Had trouble getting utensils, but after two trips back to the table everyone was equipped. If you drink anything that’s not on tap, add one star. If you drink anything on tap, stick with the two star review. There is a very distinct smell of vinegar in the tap beer.

Rick C. below sounds like a giant NYC dick. I’ve been here a number of times and I know that had he bothered to send the food he didn’t like back, it would have been taken care of. Comped? You’re not getting that and you shouldn’t expect it.(Is that your m.o. at places you don’t like: threaten a negative Unilocal review if they don’t comp your meals?) The burgers here are terrific, by the way, as are most of the other items and drinks. They make a banging Bloody Mary if you like those. Totally reasonable prices Don’t expect a fancy pub. It looks much like it did when it was founded in 1912, and that’s a plus in my book. Rick C. can stay with his overpriced NYC pubs where the owners will kiss your hipster asses if, God forbid, they forget your celery salt.

Cool place, good food, friendly service. NOT Wheelchair accessible, we went there with a standard wheelchair, great difficulty getting in and out the front door. Entrance is sidewalk level, but has two doors with a tight 90 degree turn. In retrospect, if we took off the footrests, might have been easier. I don’t think you could get in at all with a power chair.

Absolute toilet bowl. All 4 of us Ordered burgers at the table. This is a pub, right? Waited 45 minutes for Cold fries and a sloppy, well done burger(ordered medium). I never send stuff back at restaurants. If it’s bad I chalk it up to experience and luck of the draw, but if it sucks, I never go back. When the lovely waitress, and she was, asked how everything was I had to be honest. «Everything was terrible, but your boss could have kept me as a potential customer had he comped this crappy meal, of which I took 2 bites. But he didn’t, and so now you get a negative Unilocal review in addition to a promise that I’ll never return, and in fact will discourage anyone I know.» If you’re a pub I don’t expect you to do prime rib well, but I do expect certain basics in the realm of pub food: burgers, shepherds pie, chicken, onion soup, Caesar salad, and at St. Patty’s day a decent corned beef and cabbage. And for cryin’ out loud, they should know that cold fries are simply ready for the garbage can. They were so cold, in fact, that I could actually see that they were cold while Ms. Lovely was walking toward the table to deliver the plates. This place fails the meager pub food test. I will never set foot in there again, especially since there are so many excellent Irish pubs from which to choose. Try Monahan & Fitzgerald on 41st off Bell Blvd. in Bayside, Queens — an absolute classic of fantastic proportions, and they’ll pull a perfect pint of Guinness to boot! But avoid Finnegans of Huntington like the plague.

Small, quaint, intimate and friendly pub with a modest menu of standard fare of good quality at reasonable Huntington Village prices. Burgers are hand made, seasoned, juicy and served cooked as ordered(I’ve ordered them 5 times and they are 5 for 5). Other menu favorites such as an open steak sandwich and beef stew are very good and presented impressively for such small pub. The young waitresses are attentive and pleasant. Finegans is a pearl hidden inside the expensive barrier reef know as Huntington Village.

OMGTHEBURGERS! Chargrilled, great flavour, juicy bits of meat, and they are a fair size. I’d definitely go back here for the burger. Ok, I debated a long time here between 4 – 5 and wish I could give it a 4.5. The fries were… ok. I mean, considering the outstanding nature of the beef burger, I would have expected better fries. They were good, but average. The coleslaw was a nice side though, not too sweet, not too cloying or creamy. A nice crunchy bite to go with the burger. I also like that you have an option of a few sides when you go, and that you can have the burger on salad instead of a bun… actually, I think I just convinced myself into a 5 stars. This is also because I’m comparing it to my experiences at Zinburger, who focus on toppings and not quality of burger. I’ll take a deliciously seasoned, fresh PLAIN chargrilled burger over an amazing assortment of toppings any day.

This establishment, in a nutshell, IS Huntington. With its longevity and historical ambiance, nestled tightly in the heart of this town, speaks volumes and the local and dedicated patrons can all agree. Why? Because they’ve been enjoying the same great food and service for generations and hopefully continue to for generations to come.

We didn’t have any food, but we grabbed a few drinks at the bar and loved it. Super friendly bartender who gave us great service. I would definitely come back and have dinner and even come back late night for the bar. There was a mixed age crowd. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

For bar food the quality is sub par for bar food. The table service is inconsistent the only reason to go here is to be served by the bartender Tom. He always makes you feel at home; like your part of the family.

This is my husband’s favorite local. It’s super cosy and there is always a nice local feel. We’re from Britain and this feels like home to us. The bar manger, Richard is very friendly and chatty. My father in law liked him so much when he visited he’s now sent him a hat!!! I like the steak sandwich myself and sitting at the bar.

Needing a place to cool off and have a beer while waiting on the mad Russian and another friend, Unilocal directed us to a nice little bar on Wall Street where we could spend a little time and whet our whistles. Although they were out of the two beers I would prefer, I settled on an anchor steam ale and bellied up to the bar for some good conversation with a friend and some joke telling with the other patrons. The staff was quick to offer service and was friendly. The tin ceiling and walls, along with the long wooden bar was great and reminded me of a time when a bar didn’t rely on being pretentious to serve as a good watering hole. We spent a fair amount of time here having a some great laughs and equally good service and beer. Definitely not a bar you would bring a date to impress, it is however a great hang-out place or perfect meeting place for friends.

It’s a typical«barsteraunt» with regular bar food. They’ve got good wings. They also have great loaded cheese fries. Tuesday’s they do half price appetizer specials, so we stocked up on carbs and beer. Everything here seems sort of normal-ish. Pretty standard draft beer selection. I find the staff to be pleasant and helpful. I’ve never been for late-night, so I would definitely check it out if I was in the area and already feelin’ good.

Typical American bar, small in size but homey and the crowd is good. Really good wings which I will be coming back for again. The burger is also very good, you have a choice of up to 10 toppings to put on your burger. I would think that the beer selection would be bigger but I cant win them all.
