Right in the heart of Huntington. Some of the best sushi I ever had. Great service too. Definitely give it a try.

Beware: Make sure you are very clear about what you’re ordering. I thought I was ordering the two roll with green salad lunch special for about $ 9 but $ 25 later, yes $ 25, I realized I was not. Came in at noon on a Friday and the place was completely empty and had an overwhelming fish smell that was expected but not to this extent. I ordered two rolls; avocado and tuna with brown rice, salmon and cucumber with brown rice and the green salad that I believed the lunch special came with. I took a seat at a table by the window and waited only about 10 minutes. When I went to the register to be cashed out I was completely taken off guard when she told me that the total was $ 25 and change. I couldn’t understand why. So, I pointed out the two roll green salad lunch special and she proceeded to tell me that this was different and that the rolls and green salad that she was giving me weren’t the same as the lunch special. I felt bad so I just paid he $ 25 and went home to eat. The rolls the smallest I have ever seen, SO tiny, which made me even more angry about the money I just dropped on this lunch. The green salad was very large, not what I thought I was ordering, it was very tasty, however and I really enjoyed the ginger salad dressing. Overall everything was just OK, I just left with a really bad taste in my mouth when it was clear, coming in at noon, I was ordering the lunch special and she rang me up without confirming what I wanted. A little frustrating and too many sushi places in the area to make an assumption like that.

Great and very authentic from the menu all the way to the seating! Vegetable udon soup very tasty and hearty. Specialty rolls are all great with an awesome mix of flavors. Maybe a bit expensive but worth it. Have gone there many times for lunch and ordered takeout many times too and always had a great experience!

By far the best specialty rolls in terms of blending creativity and execution in the area, and an excellent chicken katsu as well. Very straightforward, no frills dining. Quick, attentive service as well. The green tea is also very good.

Fresh, Nice sushi. I like having it on the wooden board and the simplicity of the items. Quiet and relaxing. It could be s little fancier with nicer glasses but it was good enough for me to enjoy thoroughly:

This is my absolute favorite sushi spot in Huntington. Definitely go for their lunch special! They are also reasonably priced compared to some of the other sushi spots in town. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Horrible. The sushi was not good. The service was worse. I came here for lunch on a not busy Tuesday afternoon, for some reason the waitress’s couldn’t get their act together. The lunch menu was also very small and expensive. I would never come back here, a lot of other options.

Moving to a new more stylish location on Wall St, this small Huntington Japanese seems different from the way it was when it was on 25A. The sushi is fine, but not as simple as it was, fancier and more variety. Portions have become smaller and entrees no longer include soup or salad. Prices went up as well. I do miss the simpler, old days of fresh delicious sushi without anything fancy. Still, in spite of the higher prices, smaller portions and grumpy hostess, the quality stayed the same.

Place was clean, friendly, quaint, and with open tables on a Tuesday night(also Mets’ World Series debut since Shea) whoot whoot — only thing is they dont have a liquor license… So #NoSakeNoSushi — and we left. Went down the road to Samurai… will keep u updated :-) don’t really mean to give them such few stars but didn’t even try it so don’t take the rating into account if you don’t want delivery and don’t mind not having a drink with ur dinner.

Really 1.5 stars. I’m sorry but I don’t think you know quality Japanese food if you’re giving Osaka 4 or 5 stars. The rolls are microscopic pieces of fish wrapped in a ton of rice for what, like $ 15? This place is a total rip, faux Japanese!

By far one of the best sushi meals I’ve had on Long Island. This place is a hidden gem in Huntington Village. The picture doesn’t do it justice but both the eel and tuna was prepared so well, with different tastes hitting the senses at different times. The fish was fresh but also prepared after to which multiple guests of the restaurant then thanked the chef. I believe it is family owned and reminds me a lot of the natural Japanese culture. Would certainly recommend as it wasn’t too expensive, relatively speaking.

Besides being lost in translation, they don’t offer much for the price, which I think is expensive. I don’t eat in because the elevator music is obnoxious and there’s not much in the way of ambience. They’re a little cold, too — not very friendly.

LOVE this place and so glad they reopened after their prior location had a fire in the building. They are back and better than ever!

We had gone here early on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating available. I was with my husband and 3 children(2 are infant twins). They asked if we had reservations and when we replied«no» they seemed annoyed. They were able to provide us with 1 high chair and my other infant remained in the stroller. Being a former waitress, I know that a party with 3 kids is not ideal on a Saturday night, so I am always mindful to get in and out as quick as possible so they can turn their tables. My 5yr old had ordered the chicken tempura which had only 2 pieces of chicken and the rest were vegetables. When he went to grab the basket most of the vegetables fell on the floor. The staff quickly cleaned it, but never asked if he wanted something else and certainly did not bring any more. I had one roll, it was not memorable. The rice was good. I think the lack of courtesy from the staff is what will make me not return here.

Popped in for lunch on a Monday and ordered the three roll lunch special. Three rolls were $ 14 and this included a soup and salad. Adding crunch to any of the rolls was an additional $ 0.50. As another reviewer mentioned, the rolls are very small. However, they sure were tasty! I had the spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion and salmon rolls. I very much enjoyed the spicy tuna because it wasn’t your typical chopped up leftover bits of tuna mixed with spicy mayo. The roll consisted of actual pieces of tuna with a spicy kick. Wait staff was attentive and the restaurant décor is nice. The one thing that stood out was the music. There were some 80s power ballads going on??? I would stop in again for lunch not sure about dinner because the portions did seem a bit on the smaller side.

Went there for lunch and will not be returning. When they brought out our sushi(3rolls each) my husband and I laughed and wondered when they would be bringing out the rest! Not only were the rolls the smallest we’ve ever seen, but the amount of actual fish inside was microscopic! Walked out wondering what we were going to eat next! Was not cheap, total waste of money.

I really want to like it here… came for lunch-it was great-bento box for my daughter, good food. Here at dinner now… ordered a roll w/shrimp… there was BARELY one shrimp in the entire roll. When I asked my waitress about it she said«well, that’s how we do it here». Unreal. She went to tell the sushi chef and he grunted and shook his head and said«tell her $ 2 more». I’m sorry but that was not the answer is expect. I found it rude. She never even followed up-nothing. And-it was freezing and I asked if they can turn up the heat and my waitress said-no.

I never understood why so many people are so wild about Osaka. We gave them another try last night and I must say, after an $ 80 check for two of us,(no drinks), I left hungry. Soup, salad, three rolls and sushi should definitely be sufficient, but their pieces are meager and less than bite-size! I’m not dissing the taste of anything. The food does taste good, however the portions are simply too small for the prices, and its only good, not amazing. Add to that the grating elevator music and the echoey acoustics and I will not be going back.

Pretty sure that the comments on service are a fluke — went with a party of four last night around 6pm and had no problems. Osaka’s old location was special, but they’ve done a good job with the new venue — hard to recreate the old ambiance, so the new style is much more appropriate for the space, very clean and more modern. Portion sizes do vary but presentation is very tight, and it’s really nice to see the sushi being made. Glad they were able to open again so quickly!

I LOVEEEEEEEE Osaka! After a fire months ago, I have been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting… and well, you get it, for Osaka to make it’s new appearance at the old home of Crumbs. In my opinion, before the fire, Osaka had the freshest, most delicious sushi in town. I would still have to agree. I went literally two days after they had just opened. There food is just as delicious as I had remembered. The Miso soup is a tad different but still delicious. Prices for lunch are about $ 2 more expensive, but they are in a better location with what I would expect to be a higher rent, so I get it, at the same time $ 12 for a full lunch really isn’t so ridiculous! My only qualm is that it is $ 1 extra for brown rice per roll… I could buy a whole pack of brown rice to last me 1,000 sushi rolls for $ 1. The new atmosphere isn’t as intimate as the old, it’s much brighter, and bigger.(I do miss the old Osaka, I felt like it was so tiny and intimate but there’s not bringing it back) They have an updated sushi bar with probably 10 seats? The service was a tad slow, BUT they just opened, they have to get back into the swing of things. All in all, definitely my favorite simple sushi place in Huntington Village the food is no frills, fresh, delicious. So happy they are back!

I was excited to try out Osaka at their new location but boy did that excitement dissipate after I sat down. Sure, there’s a cute atmosphere and the simple decorations feel chic, but it certainly wasn’t chic enough to make up for the terrible service and sub par sushi. We were sitting for 20 minutes before anybody came over to acknowledge our presence let alone bring us water. We had to ask for tea multiple times and once our food did come we were appalled at the minuscule size of the sushi. For the terrible service we endured, we were looking for the meal to take a turn for the better once the sushi arrived but it unfortunately did not. From start to finish, my experience at Osaka on wall st. was horrible and I plan to never go back.
