Short review: Very average food, very nice service. Long review: So this is a bit of an old-school Chinese buffet. The place is aging and has seen better years, the buffet is simple — no hibachi grill, no sushi bar, just a couple of variations of the California roll. They do have decent raw clams though, and steamed mussels. They also have soft-serve which all the new Teppanyaki places ditched for some reason. Soft-serve alone is worth a buck or two, but this place is a tad cheaper than the other nearby buffets. The food is decidedly average. Very average. Much of it is tough or bland, and due to the low traffic this place gets I assume the food has been out awhile. That said, a few of the items stood out very well, such as: giant roast pork at the carving station, sugar doughnuts, green beans, hot and sour soup, cold calamari salad, raw clams(for a buffet that is — they got nothing on a real raw bar!) and even the California rolls, mainly because the sushi rice was surprisingly tasty for a buffet. The clientele here is also, shall we say, a bit downscale, compared to other nearby places. You’ve got people kind of milling around oddly, talking on their phones, etc. The place has got potential and should really renovate a bit and revamp the subpar menu items and they could compete quite well. The reason it is a three and not a two(which would in fairness be more of a 2.5) is the service. Very friendly and attentive. A woman seated near me asked for tea, which they don’t give out, and the manager brought her a whole teapot. I’d like to these guys up their game, really. Until then I’ll go to Teppanyaki in Lanham two miles down the road.

Please walk away. Just walk away. We were starving and decided to risk it despite the restaurant smelling a bit funky and it being a bit dirty on arrival. Our initial hunches were right. Oh well. Hoping to save someone else from this place.

You get what you pay for. If you like to hoard overloaded plates of questionable seafood maybe this place is for you? Nothing seems fresh on the bar. Been there a few times at different times of the day. Never seems to be anything fresh. The spicy pork with peppers is my favorite dish there. Also may have gotten food poisoning here once. Not sure, but wouldn’t surprise me when a lot of the food on the bar was luke-warm.

The place has a lot of options and if you like seafood this is the place for you. The Chinese food on the other hand is bland and horrible.

Avoid this place. This was my third time there under the new management. I was going to give it 2 stars but it was really crowded today Sunday. It’s not because it’s good but because they now have a tour bus contract. Bus loads stop 5 times daily. This means everything is gone in 5 minutes after the bus arrives. The restroom is like that of the bus station. They were too busy to have any oysters, sushi, crab legs, lobster. It was worth 2 stars before because there were only the local customers. With the bus business it’s just too much for them to handle.

That’s the most terrible dinner I ever had! Don’t go there! They charged us $ 46(two people) for dinner without explaining. I won’t go there again!

It’s a great price for a buffet which includes crab legs, oysters, and sushi, but only if they actually put some out for the customers. Stayed for almost two hours and they only put out the crab legs and oysters once. The sushi came out a little more often but not a good selection to choose from. Very eclectic array of dishes here I must say.

Service is OK but not a big wow! Few people Few servers and did not got what I want for drink. 10.49 for dinner plus soda? That tells you something. I wouldn’t come back here next time. No wonder why too many so-so reviews here.

I’ve been here at least 3 times, so I might be able to attest to its consistent cleanliness, good food, and great service. For the price, it’s a remarkable value, especially considering it has whole crabs, crab legs, shrimp, sushi, etc. As far as buffets in the DC area, this is definitely one of the best… no question.

Oy. Vey. I was hoping this would be standard Chinese food, but this was below standard. The cleanliness was OK, but clearly this would not be a quality place as the napkin holder was tupperware. We got up to get our food and plates were clean, but once I saw the food, oh boy… The first aisle was full of fried stuff. Fries, chicken nuggets, fried chicken, fried catfish. Everything was pretty dark so you could tell the oil was being reused. As a taste test, I opened up a chicken nugget and bit into some really dry stuff. On the end were their desserts, which I quickly scurried past after I saw the fried donuts. Next aisle was the«Chinese» stuff. There was Korean chicken, which was really just big slabs of teriyaki breasts sliced up. Spinach which was baked in mozzarella and cheddar blend(what?!), alfredo(tasted like a packaged Lipton version) and fried counterfeit lobster drizzled in sweet mayo. Don’t get me started on the fried rice. It was not Chinese fried rice, but yes, was rice that was fried. No eggs, and orange, probably from ketchup. There were only bean sprouts in it as greens. Green beans were the only redeeming dish here. Mushrooms, eh… Next aisle was the sushi and steamed seafood. The mussels looked totally unappetizing and unfresh. The sushi was tolerable – the one with the mayo on top was decent, and surprised me for this buffet, but the regular california was bad, as the avocado was hard. It’s $ 7, so what do you expect? It’s a cheap quick meal if you don’t drive out further for Chinese food. But let me just warn everyone… this is not true Chinese food, and not very fresh either.

Maybe the restaurant has gone down since the other 3 – 5 star reviewers reviewed this place, but this place simply did not make the cut in my book. Almost everything about this restaurant SCREAMEDZEROSTARS!!! From the décor, cleanliness, freshness of the food, taste of food, service… I could go on & on… Word to the wise: Keep it Movin’!!!

The food taste ok but they are not very health conscious. When we walked in I noticed that the waitress was taking all the uneaten grab legs from all the plates and putting them to one side. When I went over to get some from the«fresh» batch they brought out I noticed there were a lot of single crab legs in there. I think they are putting the crab legs people did not eat back into the«fresh«ones. I had to leave because I was so disgusted. Don’t eat there…
