So glad we left the lone, dirty little breakfast joint on Seacoast, and came here! Not only was it cleaner, quieter, and friendlier, the prices were wayyyyy more reasonable. You place your order at the counter, Brittany that served us was polite, welcoming and efficient. We took a table on the patio, and our order was delivered shortly, hot and delicious. Cappuccino was excellent, breakfast was on point. We will definitely be back.

Super cute little café in Imperial Beach! Great food at great prices. When we went my family ordered the Big Breakfast, Bikini Wrap, and Unkie Joe Sandwich. The Big Breakfast was indeed that, big. My grandpa ordered the big breakfast with the french toast. It looked delicious! I ordered the Bikini Wrap and it was packed with yummy turkey, avocado, pepper jack cheese, red onion, and tomato. My grandma ordered the Unkie Joe sandwich with turkey, pepper jack cheese, bacon, avocado, tomato, red onion, and sprouts on a croissant. The customer service was impeccable! My favorite part was you felt like you were eating at your best friend’s house. Definitely will be back!

Excellent food and friendly service awaits visitors at this no-nonsense, down-to-earth, cozy eatery. With a sunny patio in front, this establishment serves really great breakfasts and coffees, including my favorite mocha(whose name I’ve forgotten, but is near the bottom of the coffee menu). Their breakfast burrito and breakfast bowl are tasty, satisfying meals after a bike ride down the Silver Strand from Coronado, after navigating a few surface streets. Located just a couple blocks from the beach, it’s a great place to start one’s trip to the beach! Accompanied by fresh fruit adornments, the food here is well-prepared and suits many dietary types(ovo-lacto vegetarian and vegan diets accommodated, but I don’t think raw or fruitarian items are specified as such).

Went here for the first time and took my 3 year old daughter along for a daddy/daughter breakfast date. I really wasn’t sure what to expect based on the pictures and reviews, but I had an awesome Groupon so I took a chance. The onsite parking is scant, and with the number of locals that were there this morning it wasn’t even an option for us. Thankfully, there’s street parking very close by. Upon walking in, I was still pretty skeptical. It’s dimly lit and you order at the counter before sitting down. I sat my daughter down and started discussing options with her when one of the employees came out and engaged in conversation with her about what she wanted. Now, my 3 year old is very leery of people she doesn’t know. It takes her a while to warm up to anyone. She jumped right into the conversation and ordered a waffle(not on the menu) and chocolate milk. At this point, all of my skepticism was put at ease. This is a locally run business that serves great food. All of the breakfast items came with potatoes and toast, but when I mentioned that I was limiting my carb intake, she immediately offered to sub items out for more meat or fruit! I ended up getting an omelette with everything that have in it(no extra charge). I’ll definitely be going back to try more of their delicious food.

Great food, great prices, great coffee! This place is just great! Love the atmoshpere and the chill vibe, no one is in a hurry, its just good for a relaxing breakfast. Their lunches look good as well so I know we’ll be back! Perfect place to grab a cold smoothie or iced coffee before a the beach in summer! Cant wait to be back!

I came here the other day with my little one for breakfast! I really liked the atmosphere and even though we got our food to go, next time I plan on enjoying breakfast on their outdoor patio area in the front of the shop. I ordered two breakfast burritos and for the price of $ 5.95 it was sooo worth it!!! Their burritos are huge and I loveeee the fact it comes with avocado in them!!! Everything on their chalkboard menus seem very very reasonably priced!!! Definitely can’t wait to try some of their drinks and sandwich items next. Also the lady who took my order, and made our burritos was sooooooo sweet! I didn’t catch her name but she was just the nicest lady ever.

After a few min the guy tells us they stopped serving breakfast… this dump closes at 3 and stops serving breakfast? THEPLACEWASEMPTY! We raced home and refunded our Groupon, wont be going back. Was turned off by how dirty it was inside anyway, so it worked out

Coffee is okay. Service horrific. We went to have coffee and the barista seemed like he was high. I think he forgot our order; after 20 minutes of waiting on the patio I had to go check to see what happened, and he hadn’t started making our drinks. It took another 5 minutes for him to make 2 espresso drinks. We were some of the only people in the place but there were dirty dishes everywhere. Even if the food and service were world class, the experience would be ruined by breathing some douche’s secondhand smoke(ours was). They actually encourage smoking by putting ashtrays on the patio.

Groupon had a deal for this place.(spend $ 15 for $ 30 worth of food) So my wife and I decided to check em out. It was a nice Sunday morning and we wanted to sit outside.(There was about 6 locals smoking and taking up all the outdoor tables. Except for 1 table that appeared to belong to a shop next door that happened to be closed) There was plenty of indoor seating, but we decided to sit outside at the only table available. We walked in and ordered 2 coffees(highway 75 and the barge), my wife ordered the French toast w/bacon, and I ordered biscuits and gravy w/2 eggs.(Biscuits and gravy only served on Sunday’s). After ordering, we went outside to sit. Highway 75(2 shots of expresso, caramel syrup and steamed milk). Ehhhhh it was okay, only because all I tasted was the steamed milk and a hint of caramel. Only because the cup was huge, it was a 16 – 20 oz cup. Making ¾ of the cup milk. I would recommend smaller cups for their specialty coffees. The biscuits and gravy were good. Very filling and had good flavor. The French toast was yummy and was done well. The bread they use was a Texas style cinnamon toast. And the bacon was crispy. Service here was friendly, and quick. Overall I was satisfied, and wouldn’t mind coming back.

Ate here this past Saturday and it was great. It does take a long time to get your order if it is busy. But the wait is worth the while because the food is awesome. They feed a large amount of food. A great mom and pop shop:) love it

This is a great little place to eat. It is definitely a «mom and pop» sort of establishment and has a very laid back feel to it. The food we ordered tasted great and the staff was friendly. The lady who is assume is the owner is very personable and seemed really nice. However, keep in mind that some of the items people talk about on Unilocal are not always available. Before arriving, I had my heart set on a slice of blueberry cake that another Unilocaler had mentioned. It turned out to not be a big deal, I still ate my fill of good food. Bottom line: I would eat there again if I am ever out that way again.

I went there to see about booking my acoustic group there and loved the family atmosphere. What is truely amazing is that Laura, owner of the café, offered to house a fundraiser for my 501c3 non profit. Then I ordered an omlet with bacon and a fresh baked muffin. Amazingly good. Coffee rocks too. Best place in Imperial Beach.

IBLT. Amazing. I found this place on groupon and then read the reviews. If I didn’t live in Texas I would be here everyday. So many options and the options are great. I love this place.

Evrything they serve here just tastes better. Super value. The $ 8 omelet is loaded with whatever topings you want, no extra charge. The people are the best. You walk in past the local veterans who hang out here together. Its like a Norman Rockwell scene.

Food was good but very BAD customer service. I asked for egg white only sandwich and I knew the lady wasn’t really paying attention to me and as I knew it she wasn’t I paid with a 5 and she returned 8 dlls! She’s lucky I’m an honest person. So idk if I’ll be retuning :/

Extremely disgusted with this place! My mother and I ordered a burrito and and english muffin. I really wish I would have opened the burrito prior to eating my english muffin(which was ok) because the avocado in the burrito was brown/black. Coffee was warm not hot. Tables/chairs outside are dirty. The inside is even worse! This place is just dirty and outdated. Definitely will not be coming back! Addendum Response to response You state you discussed avocado issue with vendor. I can understand how vendors may sometimes provide less than perfect avocados. What I can’t begin to comprehend is how an establishment would proceed to place items in meals. It just says a lot.

So, my girlfriend came across some Groupons for this restaurant when she was looking for places to eat while some family was in town. We’ve gone twice already and fall in love more each time. I gave them all five starts because their customer service is amazing and their food is made fresh and the portions are also huge! I had the IBLT and it was so flavorful and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I’ve also gotten their breakfast which, I highly recommend getting. Can’t say enough good things about this locally owned small business. The prices are also very reasonable!

One Sunday at about 1PM my friends and I decided to venture south to Imperial Beach. I was a bit confused upon walking in and overwhelmed by their menu. Trying not to die of dehydration, I downed some room temperature water from the self-serve water cooler(?) — it was not actually a cooler so it was not very refreshing. After ordering and getting 25% off(thank you Unilocal) my friends and I waited probably 25 minutes for our food even though the eatery was relatively empty. You’re probably wondering why I was so confused upon walking in. Outside of the door was a bloody looking stuffed rabbit. The front door was a rusty screen and the décor basically reminded me of a cheap antique store but the furniture is more IKEAesque than actual eclectic antique. I am not saying that is a bad thing, nor does my rating have anything to do with that, it was just odd. To make things weirder, the paintings were the most interesting collection of art I have ever seen. There was some hideous découpage leaf prints, some modern unidentified murals, some street signs, and a painting of a woman sitting on a translucent tree submerged in water as she was reaching towards a rainbow horse. The artist was probably on acid, as was the person who decided that all of the art should be hung up together. After being served 10 minutes after my other friend, we chowed down to some good home cookin’. The ambiance felt as if we were sitting in someone’s home being fed by a mother(even though the chefs were two relatively young guys). The portions were colossal considering how cheap it was. I had the Breakfast Bowl, which I enjoyed very much. One of my friends ordered the Breakfast Burrito and she was not able to finish it due to its enormity; it was tasty however. My other friend had the Big Breakfast — accurately named — and substituted the toast for French toast to make it an even larger meal. As we were nearing the end of our dining experience a family of three entered and their weird behavior further baffled us. The father was wrestling with the son and literally brought him over to our table until I lightly tapped him with my fist. I don’t know if there are drugs wafting through the air in Imperial Beach? Anyways, we all left happy and stuffed, but no less confused by the experience.

You have no idea. Not only is their pastrami the best I have ever had their blueberry cake is unreal. You have to try. Play a game with family or friends in this casual beach hang out that is multigenerational and has a TON of heart If you are new or established in IB you can’t beat this place. Oh! And the owner is usually on premises and will make your visit extra special! We are blessed enough to be local and this is our fave.
