I’ve been meaning to write a review of this place for like 2 years now(since they opened) but alas, something always comes up and i’m lazy and also, it’s one of those situations where selfishly I want to keep it quiet so that there aren’t long lines and crowds in the future, and keep it peaceful and quiet and just our own… but really I owe it to these lovely people to share how great their food is. This place is truly a hidden gem in Incline! PROS: — This is really«home cooking» at its best. I don’t know about your mom(mine wasn’t a very good cook) but this is what I always IMAGINED good home cooking would taste like! Just filling but clean and healthy with fresh ingredients — Really good selection of food — They always have quiche and deli sides(ie pasta salad, potato salad, other grilled veggies, etc) and salmon in the deli fridge. Just that fridge alone is enough to always make a great mean(or get a lot of things to go, and have food in your fridge for the whole weekend when you dont feel like cooking) — Great food for brunch, lunch or dinner. And really reasonably priced. I mean how many restaurants/food places can you say that about anywhere? MUSTTRY: — Turkey Chili — I would go so far as to call this their«signature dish». It’s really healthy yet warm and hearty. Great for lunch in the summer or cold evenings after coming in from the slopes. And it comes with amazing corn bread(unlike Austin’s this cornbread is consistently moist and good) — Pancakes — with bananas and nutella(our favorite) — pic posted) or really any way you like them. They’ll put chocolate chips in them for you, or whatever you request. Their pancake mix is So fluffy and moist but the pancakes are NOT greasy(like cheap diner pancakes — do you hear me Wildflower Café?). Oh and you can get any number of pancakes you want. We just got one today as «dessert» but you can just ask for a stack of 2, 3, 5 etc… — Omelets — just make your own omelet, no matter what you put in there, their eggs are fluffy and amazing. maybe they mix in a little milk or cream or water, I’m not sure. I don’t wanna know. They’re just awesome. I don’t mess with the system(ps — I was really hungry today so I’m sorry I started eating my omelette before I took some pics to post for you with the review) CONS: — sometimes when they get a little busy it’s just very very slower service(due to the fact that there is only one or two people, max, preparing the food, and one person at the register), but still it’s worth the wait… — they’re CLOSED on SUNDAYS :(that really sucks because that’s a big«go out for brunch» day for us and while I understand this is a family run place, so they need one day off a week, I really hope they could outsource and just have one or two people run it for them on Sundays… i promise we’d come all the time! :)

Great homemade everything! They even make their own yoghurt. Breakfast was huge and owners were super nice.

A few weeks ago had camped at Lake Tahoe and before heading to the beach for the day was looking for a place still serving breakfast after 1. We were referred here by one of the locals. It was a little out of the way and would not have stumbled in on my own… Gentleman at the counter was friendly and made recommendations that all 3 of us in the party took. The coffee was good and it was free, the tables outside(across the small parking lot) on a beautiful Saturday afternoon made our experience even better. My chorizo breakfast burrito was fantastic, and the chilaquiles with turkey chili was amazing! Rave reviews from the others on the bacon and the veggie breakfast burritos. Plenty of food, very reasonable prices. They also had a selection of teas to purchase and I bought a tin of very good loose strawberry black tea that I really enjoy. I was very pleasantly surprised as it was way different than I was expecting. Will be back anytime I am in the area for breakfast and more!!!

Lunch today was a long drive to check out the Sunshine Deli(thanks to Unilocal reviews). I had the cheesy meatball sandwich and my wife had the mango cashew chicken wrap. My sandwich was very good but could have been a little hotter(temperature). My wife’s wrap was Delicious and well prepared with fresh ingredients. We will be back soon. I guess if it is out of the way and off the beaten path then it really is a «hidden treasure». Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

This is a perfect place to get a delicious take out lunch to enjoy on the beach! People who reviewed are correct, this is definitely off the beaten road and I would have never found it without my GPS. Inside the Deli is cute, there is seating but no one was there when I came in. You can see the kitchen beyond the display cases, and it is spotless! They had a variety of salads, meats, wraps, quiches, and pastries. They also have a breakfast menu. There was a lot of variety for how small the deli was and for how few workers were there. The woman who helped me was very sweet and patient describing what everything was. I decided to get the citrus salmon and forbidden rice salad. Both were delicious and very large portions(the salmon was 6.9 oz! Yes I count my macros don’t judge me haha). I would love to go back and try the pastries or the quiches, which looked very good.

Always great food, but today they went to a whole new level of service. Service based on compassion and care. My daughter had surgery and was craving a cupcake. I called on the way home, but Sunshine was closed, but they were still there. They packaged a cupcake and met us at Mt Rose meadows so Aly could have her craving satisfied. She was so excited. Now the cupcake review: YUMMY!

This is a hidden gem. A wide variety of tasty food made with really high quality ingredients. Everything you could want for breakfast or lunch, either take out or to eat in their casual table area. The employees are nice people too! The owner is always showing me some fancy new olive oil or bean or pasta he found — things I would consider kind of mundane but he’s way into ingredients. They do everything from scratch here. All kinds of food, cookies and muffins, breakfast burritos, lasagna, greek salads, wraps… the menu is always changing and always good. It’s run deli style — not a place to take a date. But its a nice relaxing pace to hang out and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or lunch. I use them to cater lunches(for me up to 20 people, though I’m sure they can do more), they’ve always done a great job for me. When I say its hidden, I mean really hidden, you would never find it unless someone told you about it. So consider yourself told.

Fresh ingredients leads to great food. This place is awesome. Everything made fresh to order. Lack of drinks but who cares when food is good. Probably the best quick lunch in Incline.

This place is off the beaten path and many people do not know about it — very delicious food that is made out of the best ingredients. The chilaquiles are delicious as are the quiches… I have not had anything here that wasn’t great and the owners and staff are wonderful people. Well worth trying it out one day.

A little on the pricey side for lunch — $ 55 for 5 people but as the Mrs. said, hey, at least we included some cup cakes and chocolate bread pudding for desert! The Roast Beef Sandwich was delicious. The Mac & Cheese was«very cheesey» according to the kids. The Avocado Quiche was just that — avocado and eggs but the crust was very good. The cup cakes were devoured by the kids and the bread pudding was excellent. Overall, a good solid lunch but wish it was $ 3 – 4 less per person!

I eat here all of the time. The food is fresh and consistent. Love Vicki that works here, she’s awesome with making my special orders. I call in my order and it’s ready when I get there. The salads, crepes, and wraps are good!

This cute little deli is tucked away in one of Incline’s pine tree studded side streets. Hard to find if you aren’t a local, but worth a swing by if you’re in town. The menu is limited, but choices are all quite good. This week I had a lunch combo of a cup of turkey chili and a wrap made out of a sweetish chicken salad for under $ 9, both delicious options. And when I say little, I mean tiny. As in only four seats for customers.

The food here is so overpriced! Sides cost like $ 4.00 and they hardly give you anything. More importantly, the food isn’t even good and it seems that most of it has been sitting in the case for at least a day or two. I really wanted to like this place and keep trying it yet somehow I feel ripped off every time I leave. Might as well order take out from Austin’s if you want something quick.

Gosh, this place is good. My fiancé and I were up in Tahoe a few weeks ago and were trying to figure out where to grab a quick bite. Per his suggestion, we headed to Sunshine Deli to grab food and coffee to kickstart our long weekend. The place is darling — quaint with a very Tahoe vibe. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped me decide on a breakfast option(vegetarian breakfast burrito with a veggie mix instead of potatoes). The pricing is exceptional, too(I may be slightly jaded from paying SF prices, but I think this is a good deal all around). Around $ 7 for a hearty breakfast and awesome coffee. They have a good little area to post up and do some work as well! Gotta love a friendly town favorite. :)

Stopped by while waiting for my tires to get checked at the place next door– I’m glad I stopped here instead of walking to Starbucks. Service was very friendly and if you end up not sure what you feel like ordering they’re more than happy to step aside and describe some of their items(I heard one describe herself as a «food counselor»). Menu seemed pretty diverse to me. Sandwiches & wraps, fresh salads, breakfast menue and some baked goods. I’ve only been here once, and i ordered the chilequiles(coming from SoCal I’m always on the hunt for a good plate of the stuff). While a little different from what I’m used to at home(i think they used cream cheese instead of goat cheese on top) I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Great flavor and the right amount of spice balanced each other really well. One thing I did note was that the chilequiles were pre-cooked, which makes total sense– chilequiles are pretty time consuming and would rather have them heated up instead of having to wait for them to bake up a plate just for me. However since they were re-heated the tortillas didnt have the crisp crunch that I was used to eating back home. Also offered here: Free Wi-Fi, complementary cups of lemon water, seating area with big open windows. All-in-all: Great local business with wonderful friendly service. You do end up paying more than you would at starbucks for a pastry and a coffee, but its well worth the extra few dollars for the relaxed vibe, great service, and better tasting and more expansive menu choices. Also walking distance from SNC so would recommend to any college kids looking to get out of the library(or a way from noisy roommates!) for a few hours to study.

Ok this is based on one experience I had a long time ago with one cookie, hardly anything to speak about but I really do think that this place has great baked goods and deli items. I think in general, I’m a huge bakery fan so any bakery in itself is a 3 star item to me unless they just smell terrible or have no selection. This place has a handful of very delicious looking pastries and cakes and the food(sandwiches) are excellent as well. As with anything at Incline Village … EXPENSIVE … but hey, it’s a bakery!
