Ordered online for delivery. Took an hour. Food was not good, bland, cold. Delivery driver was rude. Too many good places out there to order this junk again!

This place has a good deal… But the fact that they won’t even honor their own coupons. That is trashy. That’s all that needs to be said

This is my second awful experience at this place!!! It took 2 hours after placing my order online to show up at my door!!! And they charged my debit card twice!!! How does that happen? I tried to call there and it went nowhere. Never going back! Rip off!

food was your typical Chinese food. definitely have had better. the vegetable lo mein tasted burnt. the chicken fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken were both average. they have an option to dine in, but I wouldn’t suggest doing so. The tables were cluttered with junk(boxes, water, and other beverages). they also only serve bottled beverages. don’t think I’ll be returning.

Needed late night delivery. These guys delivered prompt friendly service. The food was fresh and hot. They followed each of my special requests. Thank you!

We had 6 things. Szechuan Chicken, beef with garlic sauce, chicken with garlic sauce, wonton soup, hot and sour soup and crab rangoons. The main courses were excellent, as well as the hot and sour soup and crab rangoons. The wonton soup could have had a little more flavor. We will order again! I am pretty picky about my Chinese food. This is better than average for what we ordered for sure. May have given 4 ½ stars if allowed. We ordered by delivery. The food was delivered on time.(they only charge $ 1.50-of course, I believe they should get a tip too)

We finally found an ok Chinese restaurant near us thanks to Unilocal. This is not Tiger Lily on 86th street, but it is reasonable and pretty good. Also they deliever to our home(must be within 5 miles). It’s your typical store front with standard Chinese picuture menu. They service lunch and dinner special(chicken fried rice, egg roll, and entrée) for $ 5.99 lunch and $ 7.99 dinner. There are many main courses to choose from with this option. The first time we order our standard safe entrée of sweet & sour chicken, beef & broccoli, house fried rice, and lo mein. It was pretty good not too grease and seasoned well. We have since been back a couple of times. It is a family ran business with the adults being very happy to see customers, but the teen age daughter does not seem happy to be at the restaurant. So if you can look pass grumpy pants, it is worth it.

Not bad. Pretty solid for Chinese take out. I can’t say it’s all the revolutionary, but the classics that I usually get for this sort of fair – hot and sour soup, Hunan shrimp – are good. It’s super convenient to our location and very quick.

I’ve been eating Chinese at this strip center since a restaurant was first put in there. General Tso’s is the best yet in this location. I’m a vegetarian and have enjoyed everything I’ve ordered at General Tso’s…with one key exception, as I’ll explain in a minute. I often get broccoli and tofu in spicy garlic sauce, and I’ve found their tofu to be cooked just right. It’s not as tough and chewy as some places’, and it’s not uncooked mush like some other places’. I also like how it doesn’t taste like it was cooked in oil that should have been thrown out long ago. It always tastes fresh. The portions are large and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The prices are competitive with other such Chinese joints, and less than some I frequent. I like that the to-go containers have snap-on lids that are see-through; these minimize spillage in the car. The interior has been updated and seems clean enough, but the tables sometimes haven’t been wiped clean to the degree they should be. As I said, the vegetarian offerings have all been excellent, with one exception. I thought the owner understood that I am a vegetarian, but apparently not. I ordered the vegetarian pad Thai the other day. It was exceptionally salty, but I ate half of it anyway. The owner came out to ask how I liked it and I told him it was okay, but way salty. He said, «That’s because it’s made with fish sauce.» I wanted to scream. I reminded him of my being a vegetarian, hopefully precluding such missteps in the future. Other than the fish-sauce incident, I’ve had nothing but good experiences at General Tso’s House. I’ve eaten Chinese across the country at a variety of small joints like this, but would say that General Tso’s House is equal to the best of them.

Wasn’t bad by any means, but certainly wasn’t above the typical chinese take-out experience. I was expecting/hoping for much better based on the ratings, not least of all in comparison to places like the Happy Dragon which this is very similar to. Food was fresh, delivery was fast, and price was good. No complaints, just not anything as solid food-wise as I was expecting.

I live in Indianapolis during the week and manage several apartment communities they brought flyers to our properties so I ordered. they not only got my order wrong by giving me the wrong thing asparagus in my chicken and string beans instead of string beans but when I called to tell them they not only refused to fix my order they laughed at me and said it was my fault and that I said I wanted chicken and asparagus and I specifically did not because I am allergic. then they said OK and hung up!!! this was THEWORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE I have ever experienced!!! ill never order here again, and I recommend you don’t do the same.

Food is pretty bad and the customer service is a joke. Actually, the customer service doesn’t even exist. Do NOT waste your money.

We moved to the Northeast side about 2 months ago and were seriously concerned with the lack of good Chinese delivery and take out options. We tried a few carry-out and buffet places that were just OK. Then the menu for General Tso’s House appeared in our mailbox(insert sound of angels singing here). We have ordered from here at least once a week for the last month. Don’t judge me. Here are a few highlights: Crab Rangoon: wontons have been light, flaky, filling is perfectly creamy… not ‘oniony’ at all. Add red sweet and sour sauce to dip and I am one happy girl. Egg rolls are not greasy nor too crunchy — you know you have had one that cut up the roof of your mouth before. Not here! Fried Dumplings: chock full of tasty stuffed goodness and they are not all doughy. Dipping sauce is excellent. Dinner combos are $ 7.15 each — come with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. Our favorites so far have been the Shrimp Lo Mein, Kung Pao, General Tso’s Chicken, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce(super light taste), Happy Family, and Sesame Chicken. I must mention that there was not much of a taste difference between the General Tso’s and Sesame Chicken, but we had them in different settings, so it might just be me. Delivery is FAST, driver is friendly, and they haven’t screwed up our order at all. Even when this picky girl only wants certain veggies in her lo mein. Extra points for patience and accuracy :). We have also tried the lemon chicken and bourbon chicken. They were ok, but nothing extraordinary. We will order from here again. Similar places near 79th and Binford/Fall Creek area beware… They’re gonna take your business!

This place just opened in the Kroger shopping center on Fall Creek and 79th Street and I was lucky enough to get 50% off for the grand opening. Actually, I would have paid twice the price for the food. The food is exceptional — best Oriental food I have had in a full-service or quick service carry-out. The wonton with garlic sauce is a great and an excellent value for the price — 10 wontons in sauce for $ 3.50! The steamed dumplings are stuffed full with a thin wrap — not your standard thick dumpling with a small dollop of filling. The dumpling dipping sauce is made with fresh-grated ginger. The pork with garlic sauce is loaded with Chinese-style barbecued pork with peppers and onions. The pork chop suey was loaded with pork and vegetables in a light sauce. I ordered extra celery and they added extra celery per my request at no charge. And, you can substitute fried rice for the standard white rice for only $ 1.50. The fried rice is made with yellow rice and is not over saturated with oil. Fresh and flavorful. Portion sizes are generous. I am amazed at the quality of the food, so far and can’t wait to try other menu items. The competition should be very concerned. Don’t miss this restaurant.

Pretty good… I really liked the hot and sour soup. I had the sesame chicken which was good, but I’ll try something different next time.
