The food is great. Fresh tortillas, great meat, and just great food overall. Try their chicken. Edit– They closed down and sold their location.

Wonderful small restaurant with a small counter dining area. You can call in your order for pick up. Their plates are served with two sides(beans and rice). The food servings are a good size. I have tried their birria, roast chicken, beens, rice, nopales, and flan. Everything has been delicious. I give it 5 stars for quality and price but would recommend placing the order for take out because their dining area is small.

Y Las Tortillas is a good neighborhood chicken spot. I ordered out here for the first time this past Friday evening and it was satisfying with really good prices. We ordered a half a chicken, small beans, small rice and fresh handmade corn tortillas and it came out to $ 15-$ 17, not bad to feed a family on a budget. The woman(or owner?) that took our order was very nice and sweet. She made sure my family and I were satisfied with the order we placed, also she made the corn tortillas by hand right in front of us, super fresh! The salsa was also pretty good. They also have coke from Mexico which was a plus for me and my sister! If you’re in the neighborhood, drop in and try this place out, you wont be disappointed.

A limited but exceptionally well executed menu. Excellent prices. Great vibe. Wonderful roast chicken. Tortillas hechas a mano without being made to feel like a creepy imperialist exploiter(cf. Border Grill). Aguas frescas, Mexican soda(coke/fanta with real sugar, jarritos). The specials are great. Haven’t had the all day breakfasts but I have some pride. I’ll make those at home.

So after this place being open over a year and being in walking distance of my house I finally try it. And I only tried it after being seriously let down by star chicken at the rave a.k.a. the bridge. This chicken was so good tender and juicy on the inside with crisp skin on the outside and a great citrus flavor. They had very limited sides tho just beans, rice, and macaroni salad. I went with the rice and beans. The tortillas was so fresh. The cook took a ball of dough out pressed it and put it on the grill. It was a little thicker then a average corn tortillas, but it was the best tortilla I’ve ever had. The salsa Verde was a lot spicier then your usual salsa Verde. It was to hot for me. They have 2 small tables outside, but its more of a take out place. I enjoyed my meal this will now be my favorite local rotisserie chicken place.
