This is so sad this restaurant closed. It was 5 star service and food and just so romantic and beautiful. We even saw a couple get engaged here. It’s too bad this restaurant was a secret gem. If it was more visible from the street it would have thrived. My husband and I will miss this one of a kind restaurant.

I write down $ 12 on the receipt including tips, but my credit card got charged $ 13. Reported to my credit card company and got the money back. Beware of this restaurant.

Terrible service! The owner is a friggin joke! If you enjoy mediocre food AND feeling uncomfortable, then this place is for you! I would never come back here. The owner definitely has no experience in the service industry. These reviews reflect that.

Horrible! Just plain HORRIBLE! The Service??? OMG?!! It’s a joke! The waiter has this«hurry up, I wanna go home» face. no smile, no greeting. none! Food was awful! We asked for bread, the waiter brought us some. we asked for water, waiter poured half a glass of water. luke warm.had to asked for a glass of ice… TWICE! I ordered calamari… the waiter left and came back a few minutes later and said.“They’re out of calamari”. So we got Shrimp Cocktail instead. it was bland and warm and the cocktail sauce was watery and tasted like tuna. I ordered the Risotto Pescatore. and guess what? There’s some squid(calamari) in there and the Risotto was under cooked. My son ordered Fettuccini Alfredo. + $ 3.95 if you want chicken. It came. It has 6 «quarter sized» chicken in it. yay! Hubby ordered«The Combo» Chicken and Beef Kebabs… waiter said they’re «Out of Beef» so we got we got«Double Chicken» for $ 29.90. Food came… horrible size! I can get 3 Chicken Shish Kebabs meals for almost the same price at Panini Cafè… Bigger and better portion, tender and juicy chicken AND tasty! The best part… THEBILL. We ordered 3 meals for 3 adults. but there’s 5 of us. my twin boys(4 yrs old) didn’t eat at all.(we always feed them before we go to the restaurant so we can enjoy out food! Lol) they were playing games on thier tablets since we walked in(virtual babysitters) The waiter charged us $ 3.95 for the bread AND18% gratuity since there’s 5 of us! Boooyy! Was about to say something… but…I caught myself and just signed the bill. and walked away gracefully and politely. AND…WILLNEVEREVERCOMEBACKTOTHISPLACEAGAIN!!! I WONTRECOMMENDITEITHER! If y’all want kebabs. Panni Cafè got the BEST Chicken Kebabs! Oh, Did I mention the waiter«can read palm»??? Watch out! he MAYCHARGE you for it!

**BEWARE** I came here for a group meeting and the experience was far from what was expected. We had to ask for water, they would not refill the bread and the owner kept interrupting us in between our meeting, he could have at least lowered his tone and spoken to one person as we went along. Our bill was over 300 dollars but we had a small group so there’s no way our bill truly racked up that amount, nor was the bill itemized. The food is good but I don’t recommend coming here unless you’re starving and have money to burn.

This place is a joke! We walked in around 6pm and we were the only customers there. No one was at the front to greet us right away. A waiter finally came out and just said«you can sit there.» He pointed to this akward big table(the only one without flowers as the centerpiece) right by the front of the restaurant. I asked him for a wine list or drink menu and he explained that the list was not updated. He proceeded to say they have cabernet, merlot etc. We had to order blindly, not knowing the brand of the wine or the price. He brought us out two cabernets and I could smell immediately that it was a cheap wine. Then I tasted it and realized it was box wine! Are you kidding me? We told the waiter we wanted something different and he brought out three bottles, one with a classy screw cap. The new glass of wine we got was better but still tasted cheap. We found out later that this bland wine was $ 10 a glass! My $ 17 chicken kebab had a weird texture and was really tough. We went there with a Groupon for $ 40 and still spent an additional $ 30 just on two meals and two glasses of wine. The waiter also tacked on 18% gratuity and said the owner told him to do that with Groupon customers. Avoid this place at all costs!

I came here for a Travel Agent workshop, had never heard of it before. The ambiance was great, décor beautiful, the staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. The owner was there greeting everyone and friendly. I have a food allergy and they were very accommodating. The steak was cooked exactly the way I wanted it and pasta perfectly al dente. Brushetta and hummus were really good. Not sure why there are so many low ratings, it seems like they are unhappy groupon buyers not the usual regular customers. Funny how you usually see the negatives about the restaurants and hardly ever the positives. Give this place a try it is great!

I’m not happy with this place at all. First of all they don’t take Groupon for lunch– which is not stated in their groupon page– that’s fine I just had to come here again for dinner. So I tried last night and it was not impressive at all. I had champagne risotto while my hubby had some sort of spicy spaghetti with shrimp? — he had ordered the spicy beef kabab on the menu but when the waiter(I believe also the owner) took the food out it was angel hair spaghetti. Wth? We asked him about the choice of double kabab before we decide on that spicy beef one(and he explained to us that the double option is just two kabab skewers), so apparently someone wasn’t listening very well! Then I asked, oh I thought we ordered the skewer, guess what he said? He said no the angel hair was what you ordered and we don’t have skewer. I’m speechless… Ok I didn’t want to ruin my night so we just ate the food. Food was ok but not impressive. Another thing is when he ordering our food, with each entrée he asked you want soup or salad to go with it? So we both chose soup– then the bill came at the end, the soup was charged separately… So be careful with the way they ask you about what you like to order because soup or salad definitely don’t come with entrée. Anyway I just felt being ripped off with options that are not explained cleared from the very beginning. I’m never going back again. It’s my mistake to have bought the Groupon.

WHATISWRONGWITHTHISPLACE?! I had a Groupon for this restaurant as a Christmas present so I decided to go try this place out. It was a Thursday and I wasn’t sure if I needed reservations so I called in the afternoon anyway. I actually called the night before too. No one picked up either time. My boyfriend and I figured, what the heck, we should just go without reservations. Online and on the Groupon certificate, it was stated that their hours for dinner were from 5 – 9:30pm. We arrived there at 7pm, having to parking in the parking structure since it’s surrounded by business buildings and no street parking or free parking lots. We pulled the ticket and figured we could probably get it validated. We parked, saw from a distance that the neon OPEN sign was lit up. We walked there and realized… ITWASCLOSED. We stood there for awhile and walked around the building to see if they posted up any sign to say why they had closed early, but there was nothing. We were already starving, and we only got more furious! We left upset and hungry, and as we exited, we told the parking attendant that we came to eat but the restaurant was closed so we were wondering if we had to pay for the parking at all. He said we would’ve gotten free parking if we were there for under 10 minutes but we were there for 12 minutes(trying to figure out why the restaurant was closed!). The attendant was sympathetic to our situation because he said this restaurant closes whenever they feel like and never tells the parking attendants so that they can put up a sign to let incoming guests know. He said there was a couple who DID make reservations, came, and found the restaurant closed anyway! What kind of business are you running here? How are you still surviving?! Anyways, we ended up having to pay $ 1.50…for nothing except disappointment. We’re never coming here again. I’m going to ask Groupon for a refund, because I don’t want to spend any of my money here. Moral of the story: we ended up driving to Alerto’s in Fountain Valley on Brookhurst and Edinger to eat. WORTHIT.

First off, they won’t honor your Groupon, so don’t bother to buy one. The place was too difficult to find and we had to call. We ended up parking in the wrong place and had to walk a distance. When we entered, after waiting to get the manager’s attention he informed us that the kitchen would close an hour early and that we would need to order quickly. The food was decent, but they skimped on the bread. The manager was polite and offered a new wine they just got. When it came time to pay the bill, that was when the drama really happened. He started making up rules about how we only ordered a 1 main course(even though we ordered an appetizer for about the same price and two glasses of wine). We informed him that this sort of rule needed to be in the Groupon and he argued with us. We stayed calm, respectful, and firm, and he was forced to honor the deal. We ended up paying for parking. Never again!

Omg, what is going on here? Never buy a groupon from this place, because they are notorious for not honoring it.(Read remarks from other customers) The owner simply rejects it. No explanation, no questions answered. I wonder why he is still out there selling groupons!!! The food is decent, but nothing special. We came in for lunch asking for beef and Adana kebab and had to learn, that there was only one kebab that day: chicken. Nice. The ice for the water had to be special ordered — twice. The food was not hot. Fine dining? I don’t think so. But the worst thing is the owner’s attitude. I do not want to experience that ever again. I totally agree with the suggestion to rather go to Maccaroni Grill and eat the wonderful small or bigger plates in an atmosphere of friendly, skilled, and trained waiters who make your dining out really pleasant. And much cheaper. Irvine has a lot to offer. Tuscany Grill, we do not need you! Sabina M. P. S. And here is one personal advice for you, Mr. Matthew: If you want to do business in this country and be successful, you better change things. Because this is America. And annoying and fighting with your customers does not help, I promise you.

This place had got to the worst restaurant I’ve ever dined at. The meat tasted like it had been soaking in a pot of water for 2 days, and the vegetable were obviously frozen. There were only 2 parties in the restaurant during what would normally be a usually peak time for any other eating establishment in the area. We waited for what seemed like an eternity to receive our meal. The only saving grace was that our waiter seemed nice. I forgot mention, we never received a copy of our bill, and now after reading the reviews, I’m a little worried.

My husband and I had dinner here over the weekend and used the Groupon deal. The Groupon was accepted, no problem and we had a very nice evening there. The restaurant itself was quiet, very nicely decorated, and the service was great. I enjoyed the champagne risotto with chicken, very tasty and it was a nice sized portion. My husband ordered the fettuccine with shrimp and he said it was delicious. We finished the evening with a slice of their special Godiva chocolate cake, it was still warm from the oven, yum! We will definitely visit again when we’re in town.
