This is a hidden gem! I came for lunch and was skeptical on how good it was because I was literally the only customer. Their sushi menu doesn’t have the descriptions of the rolls but the to go menu does so ask for one. Service w

DONOTATTEMPTTOEVENTRYTHISPLACE I have nothing against sushi, and as a matter of fact, I would prefer good sushi over steak. I think I have enough sushi in my life that I can make a good judgement of what good sushi is. This place is the worst sushi place I have ever had in my entire life. The food is so bad that even I went in super hunger(from a long day of moving), I came out with half of sushi I order unfinished. Sushi is all about the quality and presentation of the food. The raw sweet shrimp looked so bad that I truely regret I even attempt to try one. The shrimp was off colored and sliding off the rice. The tobiko we ordered were came in as masago instead. The seaweed is not cut long enough to tightly wrap the rice! Not to metion uneven cut rolls and poor choice of fish. On top of the extremely bad food is the service. It took the waiter/owner 30 minutes to get us some food, even though there were only 8 people in the restaurant! He also jack up our bill by «mistake» as well. Good that we caught that –. I don’t know how this restaurant can survive with such terrible service and nasty food quality and presentation. I am just hoping that there are enough people to read my rant and avoid going there at all cost.

My boyfriend and I just had dinner here tonight and as sushi lovers we had to say the sushi was below average. He always gets the salmon roe(ikura) at sushi restaurants and as someone who eats everything, he had to spit the food out because the roe did not taste fresh. I also got the sweet shrimp sushi and the shrimp did not taste sweet. The only roll we enjoyed was the spider roll but we have had better at other restaurants. Even the miso soup did not taste well. I would give this place 2.5 stars but the only reason why we’re giving it 3 is because of the sweet server we had. She’s a conversation starter and she told us the miso soups were on her even tho we didn’t mention that we did not like it. We also liked some of the plates and the presentation but I do not think we’ll be coming back here anymore!

Fabulous food and atmosphere. Patio over looks Irving. Great staff. Yum yum sauce is the best. You won’t be disappointed at all.

Sat immediately, drink orders taken. My unsweetened iced tea came out weird tasting, like with a weird milky after taste. Was my glass dirty? I didn’t drink more to find out. No sugar was offered either.(I like to sweeten my tea myself, most sweetened tea is way too sweet) We both got the surf n turf. For a $ 30 dish, you’d think they’d give you a little better quality meat than just basic basic steak, almost tasted like beef chuck. The shrimp peices were small and dry. Veggies were primarily onions(I hate onions), I picked out half the veggies because of it. Last but not least, the whole dish was slathered in a super salty fake teriyaki sauce. Goodbye taste buds. This place is like a bad Benihana. Kind of what I expect when I think Japanese food in Texas, way to live up to a sterotype. Will not be returning. The sad part is I could make a better dish than this, whomp whomp. Fail.

This place is the only sushi resturant around my area that has really good sushi! Every single time I go, I always get the Las vegas roll! Soo good! I’ve also tried spicy tuna roll and california roll, which is also very good! But the only thing is that is place is expensive for me to go on a daily basis. Girls go with your boyfriend or take your dates here and let them pay for you plus it’s a nice place to go on a date too ! lol: P

The sushi was great, we had the ruby roll and the yokohama roll. Service was nice as well. I don’t know how this works but the whole time your sushi is being made you don’t see anyone at the sushi bar, then all of a sudden this guy pops up and hands the waitress your plate. It’s like they have a tiny box the chef hides in while he’s making your food. They use a low sodium soy sauce at this location. The layout of the place is really nice, which is more than I can say for their website. Every time you click a photo to try and view one of their specialty rolls and then close the window that pops up, you’re taken all the way back to the top of the flash window.

Food: 3 Décor: 3 Service: 4 I came here with my friend and her sister for dinner since we had a coupon. 1. Chef’s special(Chicken and shrimp) hibachi, 22 Pretty good. Both were cooked well, although the shrimp got lukewarm pretty quickly. Vegetables were okay. Salad was mediocre, as was soup. 2. Spider roll, 7.5 Okay. Probably my favorite out of the 3 rolls. 3. Lion king roll, 10.5 Okay. Warm salmon roll. 4. Eel roll, 7.5 Mediocre. Tip: Fish doesn’t taste super fresh, so get the hibachi and skip the sushi. Bring the coupon.

What an interesting experience! A friend from work and I went here for lunch to celebrate her return from maternity leave and I was impressed to see they do habachi for lunch as well. There were only four of us at a big hibachi table but they seemed to have no issue doing it for just us. The guy who worked our hibachi was hilarious, he was funny and entertaining while he cooked and even let my friend toss an egg into the air which he cracked with his spatula. Super fun! He also did the staple of setting fire to the oil on the hibachi, but then he did this funny karate chop to blow it all out. Really cool! If you’ve been to a hibachi place, you know how it is. Now, on to the food. My friend got steak + shrimp which actually was not on the menu but it seems if you ask they will mix and match any proteins for you. I got the teriyaki steak. The protein is delicious, both of us were happy with our meats and thought they were really flavorful. We both got fried rice, and the veggies, although the rice is my favorite! AAAAnnnddd because my friend was super hungry we also got a sushi roll as an appetizer.(They do serve the broth + small asian salad, we just didn’t want them). We got the«Snowman Roll» which was so unusual we had to try it. Spicy tuna, crab, avocado, then FRIED covered in a spicy sauce and… get this, whipped cream. When I first saw it we were joking about it because raw fish + cream? That can’t be good. The waiter told us it was actually pretty good and so to be silly we ordered it. Each of us only had 2 pieces to the sushi roll which is actually quite large. The whipped cream was an interesting balance to the spicy sauce, but in the end we scraped most of it off. Probably wouldn’t get it again, but definitely the most unique sushi I’ve ever had. Definitely worth it for the experience, a little pricey for lunchtime fare, but great for a nice lunch or a celebration!
