It appears this Irving location has either gone out of business or was just closed, which would be weird since it was during lunch on a weekday. While the selection wasn’t huge for this buffet, the food was good and reasonably priced. I’m giving it 3 stars just because it may be out of business.

Stay away from this place. Nothing worked. The food was not warm enough. Bread came out after we were done. Cleaning vessels and stuff lying out on the tables. Ice never worked. I could go on, but i’m not going to waste any more time.

Best of everything. Order it all! I took down my bad review when this location when it was Jerusalem. The new owners have their recipes right and the customer service is warm. Highly recommended.

I came here with a friend and her mom whilst visiting the DFW/Arlington area. Everything about this place was great: the service, the food, and one of the guys had even given us a chicken shish kebab, hummus, AND baklava that was on the house. The reason why I didn’t give it a 5⁄5 stars is because the bathroom was not the best, the smell specifically. You can tell that the smell came from the sewage. Other than that, very good for our first experience. Will come back here again whenever we’re in the area.

A very disappointing lunch experience. Based on the photos and descriptions from the previous reviews I really wanted to try this lunch buffet out. Price: 9.65 $ without a drink(included tax). I would imagine a drink is an extra ~2.00. The Cons: Customer/turnover. I was there from 11:45 — 12:45 and only 5 customers came in — should have been a red flag. Even for a buffet starting at 11:00 they still were not completely set up when I came in. On top of that, nothing was replenished when I was there so food just sits out and gets dry. Variety: The meat was almost entirely ground beef/(maybe some lamb). Chicken/poultry options were severely lacking, they only had bone in thigh/legs — so basically all the protein choices were greasy or heavy. Most of it had started to dry out. Quality/Freshness: While I cant say for certain, some of the vegetables(tomatoes mainly) were a bit mealy and mushy — and maybe past their prime. Drink Refills/Service — I wasnt offered a refill and they werent super attentive on clearing plates — even though the place was dead and the staff was just sitting down. The Pros: The Salads were about the only thing I got to enjoy. they were fresh but very basic(romaine, cucumber, tomato, red onion, green bell). They had basically the same salad 3 ways, one as described, another with black-olives and feta, and a final with feta and pita chips. The dips looked sufficient(yogurt, baba, hummus, etc) but I didnt sample. The pickles and lemons were really good. I was really craving tabbouleh(parsley salad) and the gentleman was kind enough to make me some. However, it was a tad mushy/bruised/wilted as if it was leftover from the previous day or just beat up when preparing. It lacked the«fluff» and integrity/height that good tabbouleh should have. It was really nice of them to make some for me though, so credit for that. Bottom Line: I understand this location is new, but the restaurant/chain is not; was expecting alot more and to leave lunch ‘excited/satisfied’ instead of like I had to make the best of mediocre selection/situation(to my taste). Next time I would just drive up the road 1 mile to Terra Mediterranean — food is incredibly varied, fresh, of high quality, and turned over frequently — service is top notch as well. Just my opinion. Suggestions: add more healthier proteins/poultry or leaner beef, keep food fresh, add more vegetable options, label the food, and play music. Also please up the customer service a bit.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch on Beirut Rock Café’s first day of business. Unfortunately, the buffet was not running yet, but we both found menu items we wanted to order very easily. He had the falafal sandwich and I had the chicken shawerma sandwich. Both of them were delicious, perfectly sized, and affordable. The owner introduced himself to us and chatted for a few minutes which is when we found out they had just opened. We plan to go back again to try out the buffet.

The food was well made and very tasty. I ordered the chicken shawarma, kibbeh, lamb kebab, and a few other things. The service was terrible. It seems like mom and pop let the kids that stay at home and do nothing all day run the register and wait on people.

I was very disappointed in this restaurant. Where do I even begin? This place gave me some serious buyer’s remorse after eating it… and maybe a little more than that, too. My husband and I came here for lunch the other day because I had a hankerin’ for Mediterranean food and they have a bunch of solid reviews, though I honestly can’t understand why. The service wasn’t bad. The gentleman at the counter was very polite, but that’s about the only good thing I can say about this experience. I wanted to try the buffet because it had been so long since having good Mediterranean food that I wanted a little bit of everything. No such luck – the buffet was not open(even though it was within the hours advertised on their giant chalkboard by the register.). Bummer. That’s OK– we’re flexible, but holy crap, the entrees were expensive! We got the sampler platter, which came with two meats, rice(a whoooole lot of mediocre, bland rice…), and a side. We each got a bottled drink(because their entire drink fountain was out of order) and the total came to almost $ 35. Ouch. The meats(lamb and chicken) were pretty good, but the giant mound of rice was very blah and the hummus and«pita» that I got was laughable. The hummus was OK – a little too oily and needed a squirt of lemon juice or something. What really made me sad though is one of the things I was looking forward to was some yummy, warm, fluffy pita at least. The photos of the good pita people were eating in previous reviews was definitely not what I received. What I got instead was some cold, flat, store-bought crap. Sigh. Aside from the food, I used their restroom before leaving. You know, sometimes in the rush of having to go, you don’t always check to see if there’s definitely toilet paper. There was a standard double TP holder on the wall and absolutely nothing, not even an empty roll, inside of it. What they did have was a stack of rough, bumpy napkins sitting on top it. At least it was something, but really? Toilet paper isn’t THAT expensive of a commodity and with the prices they were charging, they should be able to afford at least some cheap 1-ply! This small incidence rubbed me the wrong way… literally. :P To make matters worse, a few hours later I began to feel ill. My husband didn’t get sick, so maybe it was just a coincidence, but who knows. It wasn’t that busy in the restaurant(three others dining) and based on the prices/lack of «amenities”/no buffet/etc. it makes me believe that maybe they’re struggling as a business and maybe the freshness of the food was compromised a bit? I definitely was sick to my stomach that night and though it may not be because of the food from there, it added insult to injury. I wanted to like this place and I’ll throw them a bone with two stars instead of just one simply based on the fact that the service was at least decent. It does not, however, make up for everything else that was disappointing. I just think that the money we spent could’ve gone to one of the many other really tasty places to eat in Las Colinas. I now know to try Dimassi’s next time for Mediterranean in Irving. Sorry, guys.

First gyro was outstanding. Second time it was pathetic. Went after 6 on a Friday, got pita with strips of meat and lettuce only, no tzatziki. Not what I expected after the first trip. Two hours later, they’re closed. Why not open until 11 like sign says? Very frustrated.

I love this place! I moved to Dallas a few years ago and haven’t found a Mediterranean restaurant worth coming back. I am going back for lunch again today. The staff are friendly and helpful! We came in a rush and they had our lunch ready to go in less than ten minutes just like they promised! The gyros and rice are amazing! My husband had the special and I had to force him to share! I plan to go through the ENTIREMENU! YUM!!!

So I’m here, yummy! Oh, sorry I can’t post a picture because I ate my food before thinking about taking pictures _too funny. Anyway way, I walked into Jerusalem Grill and immediately, the young man at the register was quite nice, and chatted with me about, wait for it.. . Their buffet that will be available as soon as January 2016. And it’s only $ 7.99, from the hours of 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich, fries and pita bread with their garlic sauce. Did I mention that I love Mediterranean food? Yes I do. At least come support our Irving businesses to test the delicious treats for yourself. I’ll definitely be back! Thanks Mediterranean Grill!

Went for lunch on a weekday. Firstly there was no other people there, this should have been my sign to walk away honestly but I went ahead and ordered anyway. There is no menu board to look at as well so I had to ask for a smaller menu. For a walk up ordering place i expect at least a menu. I Ordered the kofta kebob lunch special and was very disappointed with what I got for the price. All there was was a heap of plain white rice and two kebobs. And some lightly burnt/grilled(mostly raw) onions. I expect more variety in a lunch special. Even the flavor was lacking in what I got. There are plenty of other Mediterranean places in the area that offer better quality food and more variety. I would suggest to avoid this place.

In first impression I was hesitant to enter, there were no patrons… boy am I glad I went in. I had a lentil soup and chicken shawarma, and they were the best I’ve had since… Jerusalem. The perfect blend of spice, not bland like many places I’ve tried in the US. The garlic sauce was amazing! I was disappointed when I finished, I wanted more. I’m only in town for a week, but I will be back. I only hope to find the time to try their lunch buffet.

Nothing special. Came late to the buffet. All the meats were dry. The cauliflower was excellent. The salad was crips and fresh. Only bottled water for a price, no free ice water. Service was scant. The buffet is a bargain; yet, if you want something special… This is not it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stumbled across this place by mistake and figured I’d try it since I had never had Mediterranean cuisine before. They recommended the lamb special, it was very flavorful & filling. I’ll come back next time I’m in town and try something else.

Had the beef and chicken shwarma platter with grilled vegetables. Yogurt sauce on the side makes it pop. Also had the appetizer sampler with tabouli, falafel, babaganoush, and hummus were fantastic. The pita bread was to die for!

The customer service was great! The food was just okay. I understand why Halal products are offered, however, I can taste the difference. I love food of this genre, but the Halal turns me off and changes the expected taste of the food to me. It is clean and they have a lunch buffet, which I have not tried.

Jerusalem Grill is a nice and clean restaurant at the NE intersection of Macarthur and meadow creek just behind Walgreens serving the Mediterranean fares. They do have weekdays lunch buffet for $ 10.99 I got a falafel sandwich, it was good size and tasted good. I also got a Mediterranean salad mistakenly, thinking it was a Greek salad looking at Unilocal picture. The Mediterranean salad tasted good but was small and was NOT worth $ 5. It also didn’t have red onions, radish and bell peppers as described but comes with a small and fresh pita bread. Looking at the entrée listing, I felt it was somewhat expensive; like their lamb and shrimp kabobs were 14 and 15 bucks respectively. Their food is authentic and would be nice to sample the offerings on weekdays lunch buffet but the menu price is definitely expensive. Having said that, their gyros are very reasonably priced. The host/owner is a friendly guy and was courteous. He was nice to keep on checking about the food and overall experience. A Unilocal check-in would get you a free drink. Overall, a pretty decent place to try weekdays lunch buffet while craving Mediterranean food.

Delicious hummus and great falafel„ you should try them. I got chicken and beef shawarma, dude, the biggest shawarma sandwiches I ever had, I could not eat the other one as I was full, and ended up taking it home, you should try them. Best thing… freakin cheap prices.
