Stumbled upon Trick Dog while on vacation in the Northern Neck. WOW — Trick Dog is comparable to the best of the best in Metro Chicago area in terms of food quality and innovation! Ambiance, service and wine selection is right up there also. A «must» if you are in the area! This place would have lines out the door and reservations way in advance in a more populous area. My hats off to Kathy, Nate & Chef Michael Krolak!

Wings are not bad. Hot dogs were like sausages in a loaf of italian bread; way too much bread

Wow… I have been home for a couple weeks and am just getting to writing my review of Nate’s. Surprised to see the negative reviews as my experience was the exact opposite. As a party of one looking for an impromptu meal, I sat at the bar and immediately was welcomed to what quickly became the equivalent of Cheers Bar… in a span of about 30 minutes the place was packed and mostly with locals. The bartenders(both women) were super friendly and chatted a bit before they got too busy. Helped me pick a wine as I was indecisive after a day of biking and relaxing. They also steered me to a light meal, the side of mac n cheese mentioned in previous reviews — unusual and yummy, and a roasted vegetable salad. It hit the spot! The ambience was warm and dark, and the folks I met at the bar were all interesting people too — it was a wonderful evening making new friends and relaxing in a great environment. This was our second visit to the area and if we make it back will certainly visit Nate’s again.

Like an oasis in a food desert. My salmon was spiced and grilled to perfection. My wife’s shrimp app was good. The only thing that could be better is the speed of the kitchen, but would anyways def return.
