We rolled up to Northern Neck Burger all, 8 of us after my cousin decided that no one felt like cooking that night. Despite the place being completely packed they couldn’t have been more welcoming. That evening they had a medical event with one of their staff, so they apologized profusely about being backed up, despite the fact that we did not really have to wait that long. It was unseasonably warm so we sat outside, ordered beer and enjoyed a family hang out. We started with the«baked» Tappahannock Twisters, which I highly recommend, they are fresh cut fried potatoes mounded in a basket and topped with bacon, cheese, sour cream and chives, oh my gosh. Our group had various burgers, I enjoyed the Applewood Bacon Cheeseburger, which really was an amazing burger, particularly for the NN. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Beer selection was good, I ordered a draft, and because they ran out, they brought me a pitcher at no extra charge. My family is from the NN, so I’m judging NN Burger by the quality of cuisine that is usually available to us in Kilmarnock/White Stone area. We are really pleased to have this as a local options. Keep up the good work.

As a non meat-eater, I have to give NN Burger props. I can’t say that I’ve tried their born-here burger, but I notice tons of people ordering it, so I have to assume that is as good as what I’ve had there. This last time I tried the Mahi Mahi burger, and it was off the chain. Toasted bun(like all of their burgers), seriously delicious, and super messy. I ordered it with the rivah sauce instead of tartar sauce. I had sauce running down my fingers and arms before it was all said and done. Totally worth the mess. I’ve also tried their veggie burger, which was also impressive. Moist and burger-like, and with the sauce I didn’t even miss the real thing. It is a little pricey for burgers, but it’s not fast food. You are getting quality here, so don’t expect McDonald’s speed and prices. DO expect to be full and satisfied, without needing fries or desert. Oh and grab some napkins, you’re gonna need them.

PHENOMENAL burgers and the flash fried ribbon fries are incredible! Those fries are more like crack than fries! SOGOOD! Many amazing options for burgers. A very well planned and executed menu. Great beers on tap and in bottle.

Rode out last week after seeing the commercials here in Richmond. Nothing special here. Just your average burger. There ad says cooked over an open wood flame. Didn’t taste any grilled flavor to me. Onion rings tasted and looked like they were the frozen verity. The girl behind the register could have cared less about my questions or order. Oh, and no AC. It was cooler outside on my Harley in the 97° weather.

Great local spot. Good to see some new restaurant branding coming to the area that isn’t corporate. A great selection of burgers that are delicious. when in Rome… Several of us got the Chesapeake burger topped with crab imperial. Served on a potato bun. I topped mine with a hint of Tabasco and a dusting of Old Bay seasoning. My dad stayed true, and got the Born Here burger with caramelized onions. But my wife had the winner, she got the Porch burger, red wine reduction, Brie, apple chutney and balsamic vinaigrette. Man those flavors really came together. Good size burgers, cooked to order. We also split the large order of the baked potato twisters. Topped with cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, sour cream and chives. Tasty! And had to try and order of the sweet potato puffs; miniature sweet potato tots . The place is in a great space and they do occasionally have live music. I love the fact that they have great mottos and sayings on the wall. And my wife noticed that they have the«wash your hands“song playing on the loop in the bathroom. good advice we can all use. As always I am impressed when the manager, or in this case the owner, comes by to see how your meal is. That shows genuine hands on interest in the clientele.

Delicious burger and the twisted chips were great! We were visiting Kilmarnock for the afternoon and popped in for a bite to eat! Great decision! Place was pleasantly buzzing. Picnic table seating and limited at that but we were able to grab a table without having to wait. It was chilly that day so we couldn’t eat outside but for future reference there were a few tables outside as well. You order and pay at the counter, receive a number, help yourself to fountain drinks and then your food is delivered to your table. When it’s your first time, reading the menu above the register is a little overwhelming, there were a few paper menus, but I felt a little pressured and rushed to make a decision. Three of chose the ‘Born Here Burger’ with the bacon and caramelized onions! Well worth it! Fresh, juicy and cooked a perfect medium rare. One in our party chose the veggie burger and it was great as well. Nice and juicy as well with nice pieces of veggies and seasoned well. The twisty chips were a nice change. We chose not to get any toppings since this was our first time — wanted to try them plain. Loved them plain, dipped in BBQ sauce, with ketchup, sprinkled with Old Bay. All were great. Next time(yes there will be a next time) we’ll try some toppings. Not sure when we’ll be back in Kilmarnock but I’m sure we’ll make a trip here again!

This place is decent if your looking for an upgraded fast food hamburger place. I think the ribbon fries were a little greasy to my liking. Service was great, and if your from NN, you know there are not a lot of choices to eat, so this is the«best» hamburger place around. Nice patio to sit outside though.
NNBC is AWESOME! I’m so used to eating at Five Guys being a Richmond native, but this place rules! It’s a bit of a hike from where I live in Urbanna, but it’s worth the trip. A bit on the pricey side too, but if you love a good burger you’ll fork over the extra cash. So far I’ve had both the Devil and Bigger Boat burger, and they are both superb. Gotta say those caramelized onions are CRUCIAL. Ugh. If I could put those bad boys on everything I would… So good. Here’s a tip: every time you check in using Unilocal you’ll get 25% off an order of Twisters! You can’t beat that, huh? So check it out if you’re passing through. You won’t leave disappointed.
