Love the food here so far. I had breakfast and now dinner here on my second time around. The presentation is always beautiful. The coffee and baked goods are great too. Definitely one of my go to places near home.

I love that, after 8 years of being here, Jackson Heights still has gems that were previously hidden from me. El Rico Tinto Bakery is one of those gems, for reals. I’ve walked past it so many times but never been in, and so this morning we decided to try it for brunch. Amazing! The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the price was beyond reasonable. I had the spinach and goat cheese omelette with home fries, a small side salad and toast that I suspect was ‘home’-baked, possibly on premises? I also had sweet plantains and a mint lemonade. Seriously, everything was SO good, and fresh! Between all of my food and the equally sized breakfasts of my two companions, we had a small feast for less than $ 50. I can’t stress how amazing it was. Thank you, El Rico Tinto Bakery, for a phenomenal brunch! I will be back for sure.

Great food. The fries and guacamole alone deserves a repeat trip. My omelet was cold. I didn’t bother to complain because I was hungry after spending what seemed like an eternity in freaking Elmhurst Hospital. But you know what’s worse than cold eggs? Cold eggs with cold cheese inside.

Attentive service, a fun menu, good food and great prices make this an enjoyable breakfast or lunch spot that you should try out if in the area.

The food is great. I have a friend visiting New York so I took her here. What surprised me is how they decorated each dish which is not only delicious but also beautiful. I would definitely come back again.

I try to give an establishment a couple of chances before I just had enough. I’ve been here a couple of times and I got to tell you, the service is terrible. Staff couldn’t be bothered to even acknowledge your presence, a couple of them walking on by. Rude! Im definitely patient because working in hospitality myself, you can just sniff out the bs. A simple, «hello», or «I’ll be right with you», would be simple hospitality etiquettes of common courtesy. You would think? Since they can’t be bothered to be polite, acting like their sh*t don’t stink, there are plenty of other Bakeries along 37th Ave to choose from. I’ve had their empanadas a couple of times and I must tell you, I rather go out my way to Empanadas Café in Corona. They’re more affordable, much more tastier, freshly made and cooked to order and not sitting on a heat lamp since who knows when. Thanks, Yours truly.

One of my favorite spots in Jackson Heights for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can’t go wrong with anything you order.

This place is totally solid. Food prepared with great care, at a bargain price. The tortilla soup is delicious, poured at the table over the tortilla strips so they stay crispy in the soup. Great spot for brunch. The only drawback is that it is small, like most places in the neighborhood, and it can get very busy, but the food is super tasty.

I am so excited to FINALLY find a place in Jackson Heights that has a delicious brunch! Our food options are pretty limited to fried dough and some type of meat. Not here! I had the huevos divorciados, which were not only presently beautifully but tasted great. My friend had the benedict eggs. He liked them, but once he tasted my huevos divorciados I think he wished he would have chosen my breakfast. Everyone here was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

Bang for your buck. The Cappuccinos are great and so are the empanadas. I love the way this place is decorated — I often find myself daydreaming in this café. I have never tried their food but their baked goods are competitively priced and just as good as the others in the neighborhood. Try this place out.

Absolutely love this place! Just moved to jxh and I’ve come here a few times now. The eggs Benedict is only $ 7.00 and it’s amazing. So needless to say, the actual Mexican/Colombian food is awesome too. Service is also great, everyone’s very nice and attentive.

Solid — they care about food! And it’s good — the breakfasts, the egg sandwiches, coffees, empanadas, service — it’s all good here.

I’ve been here a couple of times in the last few weeks, and I have a great experience each time. You get both quality AND quantity here :) The menu(which is online) has a great selection of options to choose from without being overwhelming, and they are usually well-stocked on baked goods. They have an(mostly) all day breakfast menu too! Food: 5⁄5 All the dishes I’ve had so far have been full of flavor, had multiple textures/great mouth-feel lol, and well presented. I’m never disappointed with what I order. The breakfast options are really filling, even without the sides. Some of my favorite things have been their gajillo sauce(so perfect and smoky) and the dulce de leche cannoli: OOO(the filling is so rich and thick, that you’re good with ordering just one) The coffee is sweet, on the lighter side, and creamy. Service: 5⁄5 Every single person that has taken my order so far has been so sweet and polite. They take their time answering my questions about the menu /baked goods. The food is brought out pretty fast, but not suspiciously fast(you know what I mean). I love that they happily greet everyone that comes in. Price vs. Portion: 5⁄5 Most of their menu options range from $ 6-$ 10(aside from the main courses… which are well priced as well), and they are generous with their portions. You can split an order here and still feel full! Their baked goods are also well priced. I’m pretty sure I’ve walked by this place hundreds of times, assuming it was just another bakery, but it’s really not. I can’t wait to try every thing on the menu.

UPDATE: I got a response to my previous 2-star review(original below) and the problem with our delivery fiasco is apparently because of a language barrier. At the time, I took them at their word for it since I wasn’t at the door when my boyfriend asked for change. I was in the next room and shouting back and forth to my boyfriend when he asked me if I had any change. HOWEVER, I mentioned this to my boyfriend and he said the issue was not a language barrier since he was speaking to the delivery guy in Spanish. I’m now guessing that the guy didn’t have any small bills aside from the $ 5 of singles, which is so annoying because isn’t it common practice to send your delivery guy out with at least $ 10 in change? Otherwise I either can’t order from here unless I have exact change or I give out 40% tips every time like some sort of goddamn millionaire. So management, please send your delivery guy out with more than enough change to make their delivery and to ensure they get tipped properly. I’m going to submit an updated the next time I order… Hopefully it’ll be a good one. — — — — — Extremely disappointed with my most recent order from here. I order from this place frequently and occasionally I go in and dine when I feel like walking outside, and I’ll probably order again but I hope they get a better delivery guy before then. It’s my second bad experience with this delivery person in like… 3 days? The first infraction was a couple days ago, when I put in an order around 10:10AM. An employee from the restaurant called and said the delivery guy will be in at 10:30AM, which was fine. I assumed that the food would get here around 11, since I’m only 4 blocks away. The food doesn’t get here until around 12… This afternoon, my boyfriend and I ordered breakfast and the food takes about 45 minutes to arrive, not bad. Our order was $ 29 so we give the guy $ 40 and asks for $ 7 back. The delivery guy gives us $ 5 in singles and says that’s all he has… Even though he is holding a bunch of cash. It was so confusing. We didn’t feel like getting into a long winded conversation at our doorway over the $ 2 so we just took our food and started digging in. I don’t plan on ordering from here again anytime soon. And even if I do, I won’t be tipping that same delivery guy anything, ever again. For the record, my boyfriend and I like ordering from this place because it’s convenient when we don’t want the same food at the moment; they serve really great Mexican food and not-too-shabby Colombian food. So we don’t have to compromise or order from two different restaurants, which is awesome. I always order the huevos divorciados and I am never disappointed. I love the food and the service in the restaurant, I’d give them 4 – 5 stars if it wasn’t for the issues I’ve had with delivery, especially with what happened today.

Very tasty food in generous portions for unbelievably low prices. Once I could tear my eyes from the racks of tempting cakes, cookies, and other freshly baked goods, the menu offered great«real food» options. I went with a very large breakfast of eggs, chorizo, steak, rice and beans, and a tasty biscuit/bread topped with cheese. So good! The coffee was also delicious! If I lived in the area, this would be a frequent stop.

Service + Fresh Juice + almojabanas(pan de bono) + café con leche are 5 stars. The service is so friendly. My fresh juice order is labor intensive(definitely more than 5 ingredients) and she does it w a smile. Although service is slow on 11am Wednesday their genuine friendliness makes it OK. The custom juice option is great. Everything comes out fresh and delicious. I will never stop praising their almojabanas. Some ppl call it pan de bono. Their eggs(huevos pericos) are always delicious — fluffy, flavorful, and never salty or bland.

I tried this place for brunch today as it was saturday. My husband ordered benedict eggs and i ordered three cakes which had 3 pancakes with fresh fruits. The food tasted good and looked fresh until i saw a small ant(insect) crawling in between my fruits. I immediately called the server and he obviously changed it. Also to my surprise i realised the server does not wear gloves. There was a lady working sweeping the floor and immediately after was serving the food without even washing hands or sanitising them. I dont know how these people got A sanitation. I would not return.
