Lotus café is a great little spot for a healthy lunch. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is super nice, and the food is delicious. I tried the Bombay bowl and the fiesta bowl. Both were so flavorful and light but still filling. The waiter working that day was very nice. A friend tried the pad Thai and raved about the sauce. He asked the waiter for the recipe and the waiter kindly wrote it down on a paper for him. I recommend lotus café to anyone looking for delicious food that leaves you feeling satisfied.

Loved this place! LOVED! 1. We were greeted and seated right away. Yay for late Sunday evening. Such a cute lil café. 2. Hannah was so sweet and had helpful suggestions. All of the staff we had contact with were great. 3. THEFOOD! I had the Bombay bowl w the cashew-shiitake cakes(per Hannah’s suggestion) and it was EXCELLENT! Outstanding! Huge portions. I have leftovers for tomorrow. Between my friends and I, we had the Brussel sprouts, Macrobiotic bowl, naan, spring rolls, and chicken tacos w black beans and rice. Everything was excellent. No joke. 4. Their juice is great. We tried several. Had a hemp milk chai and it was yummy! I could go on. But it all boils down to YES! I will be back in Jackson and I will be back at the lotus café!

I saw this place on the show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives; I was going to be in Jackson, Wyoming, so I was anxious to eat here. Let me tell you, this place is as far from a diner, drive-in or dive than you can imagine; it is more of an upscale, quiet dining experience. The décor was beautiful. This is a clean, charming restaurant nestled in downtown Jackson. The service was amazing, and I just loved the ambiance of the place. Now, the food. We started with the Mango Spring Rolls. They were fresh and the presentation was amazing — works of art — but, there was just something about them I didn’t like(just my opinion). I am pretty basic and don’t like anything fancy. My friend loved them(see my photos — they were beautiful!). I had the veg Bombay Bowl. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. However, among all that fresh stuff, was something that was spicy that I didn’t like — It could have been the dressing, I’m not sure. Again, I am basic and like to know what I am eating. I picked at the bowl and ate around the stuff that I didn’t like — again, it was very fresh! My friend had another dish, I believe it might have been the Fiesta Bowl. She loved it. All the food was beautiful and fresh! The prices are high, but that is to be expected for this kind of place — and the food is organic so with that in mind, the prices were what other organic places would be. As a vegetarian, I would have much preferred if this place was totally vegetarian — and it could be based on what they serve. However, I would imagine that in Wyoming, perhaps a veggie place would just not be so popular, so they serve lots of meat here. Quite frankly, I find it VERY strange that this restaurant, and most others in Jackson, serve Elk, when they are less than a mile away from an «Elk Refuge.» But, that’s just me. Had they not served meat, I would have given this place a 5. Even though I didn’t care for some of the flavoring, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good — it just wasn’t to my liking. Some people like food that is spicy or well-seasoned; I prefer bland. My friend loved everything we had. When I find myself in Jackson again, I most definitely will go here again.

If you are looking for some«bar food» and after ski stick to your ribs grub… go somewhere else. If you are looking for the freshest food available, get you arse to the Lotus. The food is amazing and staff was fantastic. We had the Phở and elk Lasagna… my bride was in heaven. You don’t leave the Lotus wanting to hit the couch and make love to the remote — it is fresh and damn good!!! 5 stars and mega props to the Lotus

This is a delightful, quirky restaurant and offers some of the best vegetarian«bowls» in the entire country. The kitchen also offers elk lasagna, beef phở, bison tacos, and other meat-based favorites, and so if you are a group of varied eaters this place will work. My group of 16 hikers was ravenous and ordered a wide variety of menu items which I will attempt to summarize below. Veggies preferred: The ‘Lunch Menu’ bowls are magnificent cocktail of grains, grilled veggies and fresh greens topped with flavorful and aromatic sauces. We had the«Fiesta Bowl» and the«Bombay Bowl» and felt both healthy, satisfied, and full afterwards. Happily, the restaurant offered these«Lunch Menu» items at dinner. The bowls are not drowning in sauces, just lightly tossed and deftly blended. The ingredients are high quality and genuine, for example, using real ginger and real herbs. Little evidence of short cuts and food additives. Must try: Get the mango, red cabbage and cilantro spring roll appetizer. These rice paper wraps were bursts of fresh flavor in the mouth. This dish awakens the mouth juices and leave you hankering for more. Skip: Indian items like the samosas and the chicken tikka were not well liked by the group. Avoid. I tried their Caribbean plate with beef empanadas. I didn’t think it showcased their cooking like the«lunch bowls» although I’m not going to complain about the flavor in the beans and sauces which are part of the presentation. Meat lovers: Although the selling point for us were the exquisite vegetarian offerings in what is otherwise the geographic center of ribeye and burger country, the menu was not exclusively vegetarian by any means. The menu had some interesting pizzas including the Notorious F.I.G., with figs and prosciutto. Their Elk Lasagna was ordered by five people in our party. All without exception very much liked the cheesy blend, the delicate pasta sheets, and the tasty elk meat served in individual ramekins. Others ordered the beef phở and bison tacos and gave good reviews of these plates. Drinks: Local brews in bottles and cans were offered. I had their spicy strawberry margarita, it was acceptable. Waitstaff: The wait staff were pleasant. No snobbery and haughtiness, it just felt like a great vibe. The chef here is imaginative and has a flair for great taste combinations. Food here was offered with heart; the nourishment and thought were plenty evident. Summary: This was such a great experience I would encourage anyone to try it for themselves. Look for the charming restaurant off the touristy Main Street of Jackson Hole. Be aware that it is a small space and therefore it can get noisy(my group being one of those noisy ones!) Side note: My friend had a soy allergy and they were very careful about menu item recommendations for her.

I love this place for the vegan and vegetarian options, which as I local I can share that they are hard to find in Jackson. The fish tacos are excellent. I love how the tea is served in iron kettles. What I’d like to see is this place drop the meat off the menu. I don’t like my vegetarian meals cooked alongside elk, etc. Vegetarian/vegan is their niche, and they should focus on it.
