Yummy healthy fresh and warm ambiance. I had Sierra Salad w/grilled fish and tried a couple different fresh salsas. Tasty and satisfying without the guilt.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve ordered the steak Hawaiian Burrito. Taste good and fresh but is kind of small they do have a salsa bar which is pretty decent.

Went by here last night. I got the southwest burrito. It was pretty good. Staff was excellent. Very helpful, attentive, and cheerful. They had a fully stocked salsa bar. Even at 920pm they were still going strong. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Solid place for a quick bite. It’s a fast casual style restaurant. I always get tacos, either fish or chicken because the steak is bland. Great salsa bar though!

Came to eat at 910 on a Sunday and was told they close at 9 on a Sunday not 10. You should update the website and the Unilocal so people don’t drive out of the way.

We placed a large order from Frangipani today. They got it perfect and just on time. We sent one person to get the order she said it was very efficient, someone also helped her out to the car. Of course the food was amazing as always! I love the shrimp Mexican pizza or the shrimp Sierra salad.

This is my first visit here and I doubt I ever return. I got there and placed my order at 11:45, placed my order with an incredibly friendly girl(she is the reason for 2 starts not 1). After waiting for 15 min for my number to be called, I finally ask and it had been sitting getting cold on the counter for almost 10 minutes, my number was never called. They did not offer to remake it so it would be hot, and then I get back to work and my burrito is 100% wrong. The only thing they got right was they gave me my queso and chips. Very disappointed. Should I decide to go back, and if it is better I will writer a new review.

Great place for lunch! I love the Sierra salad. Great service and prices. We go often and I’ve been eating here for more than 10 years. It’s a favorite spot!

Not too bad of a place. Been going here for 15 years. Food was a little bland, needed some salt. But all in all a decent place. I had the grilled fish tacos and the spicy shrimp tacos.

The grumpy, unsmiling, bratty staff wouldn’t be so bad if the food was decent. Terrible service, cold burrito… won’t waste my time again

Yummy fresh food! Burritos, nachos and a salsa bar to die for. Lot’s of locals dine here.

Be warned! They often run out of items and don’t tell you when you order… staff is not friendly. We used to be fans but there are just too many other friendly places to go. We won’t be back

Always fresh & delicious with a staff that makes you feel welcome. Have never had anything but a great experience eating here & have been doing so since they opened here years ago. Best Mexican pizza & going with the day’s special can never be a mistake! :)

I love Mexican food. If I only had to eat it for my whole life I would be happy. The fresh ingredients, the great flavors and all of those spices? It’s fantastic! This place isn’t Mexican food. If that’s what you are looking for don’t go here. Now, that’s not to say it’s bad either, it’s not. This place does what it does well. The food is fine, but it’s good, not great. For me, I want more spices and seasoning than they tend to do here. I’m sure it’s for the majority of people here in Jacksonville who don’t know the difference. I’ve been here multiple times and tried nachos, tacos, burritos and until I finally settled on the Surf & Turf Burrito I never found anything worth getting again. My wife and a friend who lived in the area loved this place so we went often. Now since our friend moved we go much less often and I can’t say I miss it all that much. We went today and it was really busy. The parking lot can be a nightmare and today was no exception. SUVs making their own parking spaces, people stopping to let others out etc. so it took a minute to find a spot. We go in and it was busy. Our intention was to eat there since we live about thirty minutes away. That wasn’t happening as neither of us like crowds. We order and the woman behind the counter was a tad on the snooty side and not all that pleasant. I could understand why as it was loud and there were tons of people there. The burritos were fine, no complaints. But just not all that flavorful as I’d prefer them to be. My advice is to go if you dig it, but for me I’ll choose more authentic Mexican food any day. Tip: the fresh lemon or lime-aides are tasty.

Fantastic, fresh Mexican food — reasonably priced and super tasty. Lackluster attitude from staff resulted in four, not five stars

This has been one of my favorite places for the past 15 years until recently. Every time we do a take out order a burrito the chicken is dried out and the tortilla chips are stale. I wish it was as good as my past experiences as I really loved eating there. What the hell happened?

My wife and I stopped here because of the positive reviews on Unilocal and we were not disappointed. The Hawaiian steak and Fajita Burrita with chicken were freshly made and delicious. Chips on the side as well that were still fresh at 9pm. The fresh limes and salsa bar are the extra 10% that puts this place above the bar. Definitely come here!

Been going here for years. Typically get the whole enchilada I’ve tried some other things but for the most part this is to me the gold standard, quesadillas tacos, and burritos are okay but the whole enchilada is truly the best thing not on the menu. The queso is pretty good it used to be better but now they water it down too much.

When I rate a Mexican restaurant, I defer to my son who is the Zen-master of all things Mexican. He liked Sierra Grill, from the multiple salsa bar to the laid back feel. Choices were good and food was well prepared and served quickly. This is a counter service restaurant. My son ordered the steak burritto, while I ordered the Hawaiian steak burritto. He ate all of his and half of mine, pronouncing the Hawaiian steak the best of the two. We tried all the salsa options and found several we liked, but half the fun was trying them all. I am not a huge chain fan, but this one certainly was much better than I expected.

So to quote an old line from my childhood: I’ve turned my frown upside down. This time in more ways then one. I had been wanting to review Sierra Grille for a while. I have been a couple times over the years, but none recent enough to write a respectable review. Until recently. My current situation requires that I be out of the house on a semi-regular basis. Which for this work at home girl could be a hassle, but for the avid Unilocaler in me — I LOVE it. For lunch we ended up at Sierra Grille on our most recent expedition. Having read Mark B’s review of the Mexican pizza, I knew what I wanted going in. The pizza was a lot bigger(and a lot more filling) than I expected. Re-examining the picture I had seen, it was accurate; I just couldn’t believe it was that big. The tortilla had a nice crispness to it even though it was piled high with lettuce & tomato. Plenty of cheese and a decent amount of chicken too. I think I found my new go-to order as well. And as Anna J. said, they are not stingy with their chips. When I continued to steal my husband’s I told him they would give him more if he just asked(based on reading her review) and they did! Gotta love it. The salsa bar is a favorite stop and the pineapple salsa gave a nice sweetness to the end of a delicious meal. I’ll have to remember this place more often when my husband’s on the way home from work and I don’t want to cook.
