This is my first time to Heros eatery! First impressions. A little breakfast place… Let me tell you, this place is HAPPENING! The owner sat us and explained how everything works. 8.99 brunch and $ 9 bottomless mimosas?! I’m IN! Food is excellent and to be honest I’m pretty buzzed as I’m writing this haha. But the Bagels… You have to try to bagels… Reminds me of the special New York bagel shops I used to go to. Overall I give this place a 5+ star rating, amazing service, amazing food, AMAZING mimosas and smiles all around.

Found this while randomly looking for brunch today and am so glad I stopped in! We got the Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas and couldn’t be happier. I definitely recommend getting the gravy and smothering it over EVERYTHING. One of the owners was more than happy to have us taste the bagels that they have in fresh from NY even though they only make them on Mondays! What a great surprise. If you want amazingly delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere for your friends and family, I highly recommend coming here!

This place is amaze face!!! Jacksonville is my home but I live in Atlanta. Customer Service is hard these days. Jay and his staff have made quite the impression. I’m a former service industry person and they have done it right. The food is great. The drinks are on point.(bottomless mimosas price((9.99)). If you live in mandarin, this is a must!!!

I decided to stop by because it’s down the street from my office. Great atmosphere and an awesome design inside. I had the lifeguard sandwich and it was delicious. The beer glasses are cold and they have a decent selection of draft beers. I highly recommend it as a lunch spot.

The staff here are always polite and attentive. They deliver your order to your table and the tables are always clean. As you enjoy your meal they check to see if you are enjoying your meal, if you’d like special condiments and to ensure our drink is full. Very pleasant experience.

This place is a pretty solid lunch spot. The guy at the counter was neither nice nor mean but it didn’t matter because he was cordial enough. The sandwiches… They are good but they aren’t amazing. I think I have a problem with the sandwich names because when I think of a hero I think of someone who is a BIG deal! So if you tell me I’m gonna get a firefighter sub I guess I imagine something huge! For me the names just don’t match the subs that come out of the kitchen. Their broccoli cheddar soup was good but not the best either. It had good broccoli chunks but it didn’t seem to have much flavor. Overall, I would come back if someone suggested it but I wouldn’t come out of my way to come back here.

This is the 2nd time my husband and I have eaten here. The first time I had a in uneventful omelette it was supposed to be Greek but Waffle House could have done a much better job. My husband had a Reuben with literally 2 slices of meat lol. So we give everyplace a 2 time benefit of the doubt. We had unlimited mimosas which they used a decent champagne but getting the refilled was another story. My wife had the so called great egg salad which was minimal at best on the bread and my husband had the Julia’s salad which he said was good. I will not be going back after the first mimosa they were watered down and believe me I am a seasoned mimosa drinker. There service was poor and really needs some help I had to get my own water refill and mimosa refills.

This place is AWESOME. Such a cool vibe inside and on Sunday’s they have bottomless mimosas we had the meat lovers sandwich and my husband had the western omelette with avocado. Both were sooooo delicious. The service is so awesome. I loved my visit here and Will return tomorrow! Man! Please try this place out. Its crazy affordable too! I’m not even a breakfast person at all and this place was delicious. Nick was SOOOOO helpful and sweet. Super professional and patient. Like I say on all of my reviews, i have annoying orders and appreciate his professionalism through it! I wish I would of known about this place years ago.

I can’t say anything positive about this place… it started off with the doors open and it was hotter inside then out… the new girl that was taking the orders was trying very hard but when it’s lunch time they need to help her out… I was never greeted by the manager/owner who finally helped the poor girl place orders. I was ordering for 3 people and all 3 orders were wrong. but I wasted so much time there I wasn’t about to drive back and have them remake all of them. Instead they won’t get my business anymore.

This is one of the best places on San Jose. Open Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Even has a mini bar w NFL ticket for games. Food is fresh and made to order. Chicken, Egg and Tuna Salads are made on site. The sandwiches all have great names after everyday heroes. The Navy Seal, EMT and San Gennaro are 3 of my favorites.

Sunday Brunch was our first visit due to the bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Brunch was tasty, with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy, pancakes and potatoes. They were busy but the staff was extremely pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. The food and staff brought us back the following evening for dinner. Penne in marinara, meatballs and bread. All great! The bread was hot and fresh, pasta cooked perfectly and the meatballs were delicious! Everyone is friendly and very welcoming. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down to sit outside on the covered patio.

Yesterday Heroes got me with their marketing lol. Here’s the story, driving to the office yesterday was the first time that I noticed their sign. When I went to leave work yesterday there was a Heroes flyer put on our door. When I woke up this morning I checked Facebook and the first thing in my newsfeed was a suggested post for Heroes! Holy crap I was bombarded with the idea of deliciousness so I knew that I had to try them this morning. That being said, I got an awesome sandwich called the meat lovers, it came with 2 eggs, cheese, and I added sausage and bacon. I was totally stoked when they told me that they have whole wheat toast.(Man this just gets better and better) Let me just say that they absolutely have the best breakfast sausage that I’ve had in a very long time. There is no doubt that this will be a regular stop for me!

I was excited to try Hero’s after seeing a few reviews and likes, and my friend and I were both disappointed with the results. Sandwiches were not very big(maybe 8″) and not overflowing with meat. The bread was fine, and the cold cuts were sliced fresh, but it seemed the Philly steak was warmed instead of cooked fresh on a grill. $ 10 for a sandwich combo with a small cup of potato/macaroni salad or slaw with chips and a drink wasn’t worth it. It was surprising to see such a large number of people(of all ages, shapes & sizes) for lunch for such a new place.

This is a pretty new restaurant opened off San Jose blvd. Went in for lunch 2 times, some good things, some just ok… Good– decorated really nice inside, cool tables, comfortable… food tasted good Ehh«ok» part– the sandwiches were pretty skimpy, like the chicken salad sandwich did not have much chicken salad in it, just a small layer, also tried another sandwich and thought the same thing… just ok, expensive for a sandwich with small side and drink runs you close to $ 10

Our first time here and we are hooked! With breakfast, brunch and lunch. Bottomless Mimosa’s and Bloody Mary’s on Sundays. Plenty of different beers to choose from. These subs are not just your ordinary subs either. Only being opened a week and the place is run so smoothly. My favorite attribute to this place is that it is family run and the family works together to put together amazing food and experience. We truly felt at home here :)

This place just caught my eye when I was driving in the area. I did what I had to do and then came back and stopped in. Just cause. Cause that’s what I do. When I walked in there was a group of very young folks behind the counter. I think I might have scared a couple of them. I did hear a little later that they really weren’t going to open up for lunch today. It was pretty clear that they were still training. Most of them were huddled around the register like it was a gameboy or something. I stared at the menu and I did like that this place is named Hero’s and the sandwiches are named after everyones hero’s. Firemen, policeman, teacher, nurse, emt’s, lifeguard etc. They even have a local hero of the month. This month was a fireman with a small son. I stuck with one of my favorite sandwiches. A pastrami with swiss and cole slaw served on a toasted garlic sub roll. I took my seat and got to looking around. They have beer not a lot of it but it more then most folks I know can drink during lunch. They also have a lot of hero’s related pictures of mostly first responders. My sandwich came out and it looked awesome with plenty of real pastrami not that parts is parts stuff that you normally get in some sandwich shops. I will say that the sandwich was quite tasty. Simple just meat, cheese, slaw, and some mustard. Simple and that what I wanted. I was craving a descent sandwich today and my #1 got to meal is a good sub. I will keep hero’s on my short list in Julington Creek area. Heaven only knows that there;s not much around. Well except the Maple place that I built down the road.
