Mediocre place. Awkward servers with bland food. Was here for lunch feel rushed. Typical Japanese restaurant with Chinese management…

I went here with my fiancé last night and the service was awful. There was no knife or fork on the table, only chopsticks. I use chopsticks, however when we were served our shrimp which were jumbo size I needed a knife to cut them. When we asked the waitress she looked at us like we had 10 heads. Very rude. I also asked for a bigger plate because we were both sharing our meal and the guy looked at me funny and said no this is all we have. When my fiancé asked for a water after his ginger ale was finished, the waitress asked if he wanted it in the same cup, which I thought was very odd. I’ve never been to a restaurant who asks such questions. The sushi we got was OK. The hibachi steak and shrimp combo was good, but he put too much black pepper in it. I would stick with Kumo in Rockville center and would not be going back to this place.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I ended up there because it was close to the movie theatre and it turned out to be delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. The sushi was excellent and very fresh. I recommend the spicy scallop roll and the peanut avocado roll, they were both fantastic!

Pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves which was pretty cool, 2 hours before closing. I would say it was pretty pricy however worth it. the good had lots of taste not like other hibachi grills that are bland. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating. Did suck that we did not get to see them on a actual grill which is why we went however I guess that was because it was close to closing which we completely understood. Would def recommend.

Tasty sushi and quick-n-easy lunch… Sushi chef was kind of enough to supply a pre-taste of something new on the house. I will be heading back as should you !!

Sushi was fresh and so soft! Sometimes the soy wrap is tough, and here is just nice and fresh. We had the volcano roll which was so creative. Fried with the sushi piled on top. I love when sushi places serve Pinot Noir, it just completes my meal.

Love their sushi and hot food! We come here for lunch several times a week. The staff is friendly and fast. One of my faves. I used to go to the locations they have in Orlando, and very pleased to find out they had this location after moving here to NY! Me and the hub are regulars.

Kobe Hibachi… you broke our hearts. Went here for hibachi and it was good. Cool décor, good food, good service. So good we went back to get dinner in the restaurant. When we ate in the restaurant, the food was good again and the service was good again. So good we went back to eat in the restaurant section yet again. And that’s when this review stops being polite… and starts getting real. It was a busy Saturday night, but even for a Saturday, the service was exceptionally slow. We asked for glasses of water and our waitress forgot. We asked for extra spicy mayo and our waitress forgot. We specifically went here because their Mochi Ice Cream is supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus-level good but they were out of every flavor. And that was AFTER we had asked the waitress what they had for dessert, AND had placed our order. We were devastated. And their already cramped parking lot was not plowed very well so the snow made it very difficult to drive and park in. We braved that icy parking lot just to leave WITHOUT eating Mochi Ice Cream and with sub-par service… if you could see me, you’d see my sad face. First visit: 4⁄5 Second Visit: 4⁄5 Third Visit: 2⁄5 Total: 10⁄15 = 3⁄5 star rating. PS– If they have Mochi Ice Cream, order it!

I was a frequency patron when I worked in New York. My favorite dishes were the Korean dishes. The bibimbap was outstanding and my favorite dish. Very authentic sides. However they seem to have a different menu from the last time I ate here. The servers, bartender and hosts were always warm and friendly. Can’t wait to eat here again… One day.

For anyone who still think this is the same restaurant as it was a year ago, don’t fret, there’s a new management in place. The«new» restaurant is diametrically different than the previous disgrace. While we haven’t tried their hibachi, we did order a nice spread of sushi, sashimi and rolls recently. Aside from being fresh and delicious, the service is excellent and the staffs are friendly. The décor is still cliché with a contemporary spin, but hey who’s 100% perfect, right? My favorites specialty rolls are the Maine Lobster Roll and Dragon Roll.

11÷28− Had the pleasure of dining here with 6 adults and 2 kids under 6 and it went swimmingly! I can only presume the rainy midday Saturday hour was why the place was so uninhabited b/c the food and the service was sublime. Kobe is clean, fast, and entertaining the way most hibachi places are. We quickly received drinks… sake, wine, cocktails as well as standard nonalcoholic beverages were available. The menu sports a nice lunch hibachi menu as well as regular gigantic-size hibachi with chicken, shrimp, salmon, steak, vegetables, scallops, and a combination of 2 of those things for bit more. Salads(amazing dressing of carrots and ginger that is actually for sale) and soups(standard miso with some not so standard nice caramelized onions and mushrooms) began the fiery hibachi entertainment with the juggled utensils with the making of the fried rice. The fried rice is a bit under seasoned but tasty enough(maybe a bit more soy sauce?). Then comes the divvying up of the separate entrée options, the cooking of the veggies and the onion volcano before the attempts at throwing food into hibachi participants mouths ends everything. The shrimp and salmon were well cooked, as well as my chicken. We all ate well and were satisfied with plenty to box up. Dessert options were tempura-battered fried banana, mochi, tempura-battered friend ice cream and some non-standard ice cream flavors like green tea. The table enjoyed one of all of these tasty options. Not too many places can handle a group of people with varying needs, including children, in a pleasant unharried but still timely manner with food cooked well and everyone satisfied. Well done, Kobe.

We had the combo shrimp and steak it was delicious it came with noodles and we got the fried rice everything perfectly cooked to order. Our drinks were yummy also. Pricing was great atmosphere lovely great place to go before hitting a show at the westbury music fair which was right up the road will definitely go back with more friends.

Stopped in for lunch; my first time here. Average prices, above average sushi(I did not try the hibachi) and all the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. If you enjoy sake with your Sushi, you may be disappointed by the relatively limited selection. With all that said, I’ll be back to try the hibachi lunch.

My family and I dined here for the first time this evening although we’ve lived in Westbury for the past 10 years. The manager greeted us promptly and asked if we’d like to sit in the dining area or in the hibachi area after explaining the wait time. We chose the dining area in a intimate section in the back. Ping waited on us and couldn’t have been more attentive. My husband and older son started with sushi which was delicious. Our teenage daughter did not like her beverage and Ping quickly gave her a second beverage. My husband, son and I ordered the hibachi combos and our daughter ordered a la carte. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We all shared the ice cream tempura for dessert. It was delicious. We look forward to returning and telling our friends about Kobe.

The mad Russian and I were completing a few errands and I was starving so although we had passed Kobe on other occasions saying we would have to come back to try them, today we went in and wound up being very glad we did. It was Valentine’s day and although we came in later in the afternoon, the very warm and kind hostess seated us at a nice booth near the window with a great view of the restaurant. The atmoshere was worth the view– beautifully decorated and although it was close to zero degrees outside, it was amply heated in the restaurant. Our server came promptly and brought a beer for me and a hot tea for my lovely date. We would see several more servers during our visit and each was friendly and responsive. What we had: Spicy Kani Salad– $ 8 Tom Yum Soup– $ 8 Salmon Roe– $ 4 Rainbow Roll– $ 13 Mini Roll– $ 5 Volcano Roll– $ 15 Fried Ice Cream– $ 5.95 Mochi– $ 5.95 coffee– $ 2.50 All of the food came out beautifully presented and in a timely fashion. I really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup and my date really enjoyed her Volcano roll, but otherwise all of the food was fresh and delicious. One added bonus– the host came over and presented the mad Russian with a gorgeous red rose and wished her a happy Valentine’s Day. Much appreciated and totally unexpected. Well done Kobe!

Took my wife out for her birthday and decided to try a new hibachi place. Wife and I had just gone to 110 Japan for New years eve so expectations were very high for Kobe Hibachi. We were seated immediately, And waiter took drink orders. What we did not know was that we would sit there another 15 – 20 minutes waiting for other people to fill up the hibachi table before they would start. The service was excellent and the chef was pretty good. I had filet mignon, And it came with soup salad and vegetables and rice and shrimp. The food was ok not great. I would not go there again as I thought 110 Japan was significantly better.

Great place! Went to Kobe on a work lunch and what a lot of fun! The chef was awesome and the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked! The owner came over to me and handed me a coupon! I will be using this with my wife next week. I can’t wait to visit again. Kobe is awesome! Highly recommend a visit
