This guy saved a pair of glasses that toddler son had garbed and disfigured from wife’s face. Would not accept any payment for about 10 min of his work on a Sunday. Thank you!

My optometrist appointment with Dr. Han was a pretty good experience here at Sears Optical. I thought Dr. Han was very helpful and thorough with my examination, and provided helpful tips on how to take care of my vision. Because I am a web designer, I spend a lot of my time on the computer using a double monitor setup(with one measuring at 27″). We went over how my vision has changed, which was sadly for the worse, but he mentioned useful advice that I could apply to my daily life. Drink more water and stay hydrated, make sure to set your monitors«10 feet away»(not exactly possible in my case but now I have them pushed back really far), and make sure to take a break every 20 minutes by shutting your eyes or looking far into the distance. He even discouraged the use of phones or devices on the commute in and out of work, which is difficult, but I understand it is for maintaining the health of your eyes. I appreciated the complete honesty at my appointment, and now I am the only one at my office who has their monitors pushed back very far and timing myself to look away every so often. The actual Sears Optical shop itself I didn’t think was too great. I wanted to continue using my current frames and just replace lenses, but since they were not purchased at Sears, there was already an automatic $ 100 charge that would be on top of making the lenses. The staff there, while nice, is understaffed for such a busy office that accommodates walk ins. After my appointment, I wanted to purchase contact lenses, but had to wait until a working computer was open because the other station was broken. I will continue to see Dr. Han for my annual visits, but I will take my prescriptions elsewhere for new glasses and contact lenses.

Went in today for an eye exam and to replace eyeglass lenses. The doctor(Kelly) was really nice. But to replace lenses on a frame I already had there was a $ 100 charge! Walked over to another store in the same mall and had my lenses replaced.

Great prices and good selection of glasses but the manager here is an absolute witch. She’s mean to everyone. I always see the staff changing. Who would want to work with a person like that? It seems like she prides herself on being able to force deals on people. While waiting for my turn, I watched her practically forcing this old lady to accept on the add-ons offered and«deals» that aren’t deals at all. For me, she was nice in the beginning until I told her I didn’t want every single thing she wanted done to my glasses. They were expensive and unnecessary. She then had a sour attitude and became very aggressive and closed the deal with a huff. I’ve gotten a few things here and she acts like this every single time. I can’t wait until she’s fired because she’s the only thing that makes this a one-star. She absolutely makes my experience miserable.
