I can’t express my disappointment enough in what I just experienced at Egg Harbor. As a family that has 3 celiacs(not just a gluten sensitivity, a severe gluten allergy), this restaurant has been a wonderful spot for us to eat without worry of getting sick. They have a gluten free menu and have always been so kind, understanding and careful. Today, we ordered the gluten free pancakes and the lady that brought them out stated that they were gluten free. After a closer inspection, we noticed they neither smelled or looked like the pancakes we usually get. We flagged our waiter down and questioned it, and he assured us they were GF. After my mom took a bite, it was clear they had gluten. Instead of apologizing and admitting the huge mistake, he apologized and started covering himself and almost acting as though we were wrong. The manager said yes there was a mistake and they were in fact regular pancakes. My mom is already feeling the effects and told him she would be very sick because of this mistake. The manager apologized and then handed us the check ANDCHARGEDUSFORTHEPANCAKES! I am in disbelief and SUPER disappointed that we will no longer be able to eat there.

I can’t honestly decide which was better– the food or the service from Holly. The menu has a variety that makes choosing difficult. Add to that the mouthwatering descriptions from the waitstaff for the specials. They certainly make breakfast an important meal and worth every penny. A coffee flavor of the day was an added bonus. No canned fruits on anything and many items locally grown. It wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for — average about $ 12 a person and worth every penny. I highly recommend the French toast with all the fresh fruits. Granola and strawberry infused cheese. It was AMAZING. The skillet was so so — not bad just not worth raving about. Just to give you an idea how serious they are about customer service — Holly was very clear that if we wanted something substituted no problem it’s your meal and we want you happy! No business makes an offer like that unless they truly want happy customers! It was our first time but we will definitely be back.

This restaurant was clean and the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. It was a little too crowded and loud for my taste, but to each his own. Despite there being a full house, the wait time for my order was acceptable. I ordered decaf coffee and a chicken and avocado grill sandwich, which comes with skillet potatoes and a small side salad. The salad was boring and basic, but the potatoes were delicious. The sandwich was even better and left me feeling stuffed. I’m used to getting subpar decaf coffee at restaurants, but this coffee was wonderful. You definitely couldn’t tell that it was decaf. This isn’t the kind of place I’d visit again, but that is purely out of personal preference and has nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant. If you appreciate high quality, healthy foods, definitely try this place!

This was by far the best service we’ve received in GA! From the greeting staff being very attractive, along with someone who appeared to be the manager… We were there on 5÷15÷16 around 9am [Party of 13] The host staff sincerely did their best to get us seated. From the time we were seated, everyone were so sincerely nice and accommodating. Starting with our waiter Justin and a team of support staff that was simply amazing! So the food had to live up to this top notch service and it certainly did! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful and the portions were just right. Will definitely be making this a regular stop when in ATL.

Third time we come, but this time we came along.(this is a delay review 4÷30÷2016, but wanted to be mentioned) Late breadfast & started with 2 Coffees, 112oz Strawberry Orange juice. To share & try their new entre, Summer in Italy,(thick Toast with fresh strawberries, Blueberries, powdered sugar) Wife had Breakfast Special #1. I had Aztec Omelette. Now the food was fantastic & delicious, the waiting was short, lest than 10 minutes,(Saturday) our Waiter Justin was awesome, from the beginning that gave us the many choices to order our food plus the professional way he treat us. We can see that he is committed to Service. Kudos to you Justin.

Thank you Jeanie for making this a wonderful superfast breakfast this morning! Ordered the Georgia Grits and Cheese and husband the Omelet and both were delicious. Super fast service and great food! *I enjoyed every bite off my plate but think the half bowl of grits with barely sprinkled bacon is way bit too pricey for $ 9.99. Would have been better if a side of meat came with the order. But all is good.

I loved having Sunday brunch here. It was one of the few places I got to try on my short weekend trip to Georgia. And it was lovely. There’s nothin like having real grits in the South. The staff was some of the friendliest I’ve ever met! But then again, I’m accustomed to the rushed and sometimes authentically rude service in New York. We had a toddler in our party and they gave her with colored pencils and an activity sheet. Even though I don’t have kids, I do appreciate places that provide funtivities to keep kids occupied. I would definitely be coming here regularly if I lived in Atlanta or any of the other locations they have.

This brunch joint has excellent food and service. The wait time during weekend brunches are long and you’ll know why once you experience their food and service. Overall this is a great restaurant and I will definitely coming here again.

SAMETHING, DIFFERENTDAY! OK for some reason, I am just not a fan of this restaurant. The water really bothers me because it is simply undrinkable with a very odd taste. Although the waitress stated that they use water filters, I did not believe her. If this is in fact the truth those filters need to be cleaned or replaced. When it comes to water, there is simply no substitute, I am either drinking cold water or hot water. I do not drink any other«restaurant beverages» so that water has to be RIGHT! I don’t believe in pancake mix or hashbrowns from a bag. Their pancakes appear to be from a mix and my husband’s hashbrowns were highly processed. Now why in the world would I go out here for breakfast when I can get fresh food at home? Well, my husband loves to eat breakfast out and it was the most convenient option this morning since we were in the area. The good news is that they did make a proper and delicious Butcher’s omelet for my husband. It was nice and fluffy, perfectly seasoned and properly prepared,(No brown allowed!). His toast was a beautiful multi-grain option that looked delicious. I did enjoy my French toast but I am not inclined to return to a restaurant that doesn’t serve the freshest food, has undrinkable water and sad waitresses(only the one who took our order). The last time it was those recycled breakfast potatoes and those anemic crepes that disappointed. It just doesn’t compute. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and it needs to begin and end with flowers and sunshine or it’s a bust! Unfortunately this restaurant is no longer an option for me. It’s obviously okay for some, just not for me.

I’m not sure about Egg Harbor. After reading the glowing Unilocal reviews I was anxious to visit but after 4 visits I’m still on the fence. First visit– almost a 30 minute wait! Ordered a mexican omelet and it was incredible with chorizo and avocado. Perfect! 2nd, 3rd and 4th visits– shorter wait times, ordered the same omelet and they left out the chorizo every single time. Not one bite of it in the entire omelet. Maybe they ran out? I don’t know but that’s really the only reason I’m willing to wait so long to eat. I can get breakfast food at many other places much faster. There is a comprehensive menu, they seem to be following the trend of making all of their food with a gourmet kind of spin. Odd-sounding combinations of ingredients that, as evidenced by long waits, are very popular. I like a simpler, more recognizable type of food which is why the mexican omelet is really the only menu item that interests me. Service is consistently fast and good. Great place for brunch if you don’t mind a wait and your tastes run toward the gourmet.

A good restaurant experience is half service and half food. The service here was excellent, even before we sat down. There’s free coffee while you wait and even on a busy Saturday morning the wait was about 5 minutes. The servers cover each other so you’re never left looking around for someone to get what you need. The menu is large and very considerate. I saw a variety of options for someone who may be vegan, vegetarian, or any other dietary consideration. I ordered the lobsters scrambler and it was great! I also got peach orange juice. My boyfriend had a hard time making up his mind, but he was able to get everything he wanted because the waitress offered substitutions. This is the kind of place I can see us coming to every Saturday morning.

Consistently great service and excellent food. They provide you with your own carafe of STRONG and high quality coffee. That is a huge plus considering many«so called» breakfast places give you light brown watery coffee that tastes like ashtray water. Their attention to detail for breakfast is extraordinary. Examples include the perfectly grilled english muffins, REAL preserves(and not that crap mini-jelly stuff made out of corn syrup), fresh strawberry-orange juice, and many more examples of delights. Best to come on weekday mornings or early afternoons to avoid the crowds.

Damn… this was good. Seriously. I wanted to give this place maybe a 4, leaning toward a 4.5. That was until we ordered the cinnamon swirl French toast thing… yowza. Delish. We went to this location on the way out of town and we were very impressed. Our server was incredibly efficient. Definitely not his first time working at that job. They had water on the table in a carafe sort of set up. That helps. Then my wife ordered diet coke and they brought that too in a carafe. Is that a big deal? No, but it’s very helpful when I drink a lot of water and my wife drinks a lot of diet coke. The protein wrap that I got was big. Bigger than expected. It was tasty and worked great as a vehicle for my hot sauce. Then we got the French toast. Wow. They were incredible. The crème sauce on top was a great touch and it wasn’t like… too sweet or too anything. Very well done and I’d recommend anyone near one to try this place.

I’ve been going to this location intermittently for a few years now. It’s a friendly and inviting place, warm with Americana-themed décor. The staff are always smiling and ready. On weekends, the place is packed with families and there is often a wait for a table — typically 10 to 20 minutes, but I’ve waited upwards of 45 minutes at the height of a Saturday or Sunday morning around 11. The menu is somewhat generic — standard breakfast fare with lunch options on a back page. The hot chocolate is nice and the skillets are very filling. The pancakes lean on the dry side and the eggs are pretty uninspired; they’re done correctly, but they lack spice or flair. The bacon needs to be dried of excess grease and the biscuits are nothing to brag about. It’s just not all that special and while the price is fair, it’s not worth battling a crowd for a mundane meal in my book. I would urge folks to give it a try. Obviously, tastes differ, but there are enough boxes left unchecked for it to be a favorite or even an occasional consideration. With a name like Egg Harbor, you would think their specialty would be eggs! ‘Fraid not! Their specialty is averageness.

Egg Harbor Café is solid! I want to talk about their service. Service is spot on and they have great hospitality. All the staff make it seem like you are invited over to a very nice host’s house for breakfast. And you feel very at ease. Bonus points for having gluten-free options! Food is great. Had their traditional breakfast with 3 eggs and turkey sausage. So far so good. I’ve been on a look out for good gluten-free pancakes. Their gluten-free pancakes mixture makes it the second best one that I’ve tasted. Their mixture is fluffy and that’s what I like. And it comes with fruit spread/preserves made from scratch. It’s a nice addition to the pancakes. Even more so than their pancakes… their gluten-free cinnamon rolls is even better. The texture is like a really soft bagel and their sweet icing makes it phenomenal. I think this place will be my favorite new brunch place.

I literally decided to come here at 3AM as soon as I heard from my cousin that there is generally a line starting 10AM, the restaurant opens from 6 to 2 only serving breakfast/brunch, it’s probably one of my favorites in the area. Our server Justin deserves all the stars, he’s so polite and knowledgeable, also very professional in taking our orders and serving us. We ordered a Barvarian Benedict, lobster scrambler and a special of the day, three of us split a banana french toast… let me tell you, that creamy-cheesy scrambler straight up melted in my mouth, it’s so warm and filling at 8AM. My cousin got the benedict with hash on the bottom, it looks and tastes good. The price is not bad, I paid about $ 60 for three(including tips), each of us had a drink as well, as the time went by the place started filling up with people, I was surprised to see the room full of people by 8AM on a Sunday. Great food, great price, great service!

I love having breakfast here. I just wish they would open all day long! I can eat breakfast all day long! I love how cute the store is. Everything feels like home. From the cute farm decorations to their adorable coffee mug. I love how they put the entire coffee thermo on the table because I always drink 3 cups a day. I bought a large jar of preserves here today for $ 6.99! I love their preserves! I usually ask for a rummikin of it and just literally pour it all over my scrambled eggs and hash browns and bacon and go to town with it lol I always look forward to having brunch here. It’s a always gonna be a good day when I start my day off here!

This place is wonderful!!! They have a fantastic menu with quite a range of options. I’m usually drawn to sweets, so I couldn’t resist their cinnamon roll french toast! They took a cinnamon roll, cut it into three slices, fried it up in egg batter and covered it with drizzles of icing! I’ve also tried one of their scrambles — it was a very generous portion and quite yummy! The other great thing about this place — the amazing servers! They take care of you, they do everything right and most importantly — they are super friendly!

My favorite breakfast/brunch spot in all of GA! Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious! All time favorite, never fail: Farmer’s Market Benedict — Fresh baby spinach, mushrooms, vine-ripened tomato and artichoke on a toasted English muffin with poached eggs and fresh basil hollandaise. Served with Harbor potatoes — $ 9.49. Even their Harbor potatoes are delicious!!! Another favorite: Lobster Scrambler — Lobster meat, cream cheese and chives, topped with savory hollandaise sauce. Served with Harbor potatoes — $ 10.99. I’ve also had their specialty pancakes that change according to the season that have never disappointed as well!

The wait time on a Saturday morning for 2 people was only 15 – 20 min! Not bad at all since they have a little coffee machine outside(a true blessing on a cold rainy day) Staff here is the most sweetest and welcoming We’ve had in a long time. They sat us close to the windows and it was the perfect view. I got the Georgia cheese and grits and bf got the lobster scramble and I was eating more out of his than mine. A definite must try! Food came out in no time at all! Water was in a pitcher on the table so it minimized us bothering our server even more. Halfway through the meal the server gave us the check and stopped checking up on us, which was a tad disappointing since we wanted some French toast to go and she was no where to be found. Will have to try again on another day! We paid at the front on our way out. Such a better alternative than ihop(which was definitely not what we originally wanted… hah)
