hand made pasta, fresh daily… lunch specials… amazing weekly specials… great family restaurant… save room from the many desserts to choose from.

So I’m giving Mirko a second chance at a different location Norcross and have been pleased so far see the photos the dishes have been tasty. Questions about cinnamon and nutmeg in the sauces have been answered and there have no issues with anything. A couple of times have even had Vino with me and when I inquired about having dinner with a dog was told that«it was o.k. we could indeed sit on the patio, cool.» The staff is friendly and Mirko has drink specials during the week.

Went to the location at the Regal Medlock Crossing(with the Regal 18 movie theater). It was an off-time so no one else was there except a dude with his three kids(they were well-behaved so it was fine, usually kids just mess up places for me bc I’m a terrible person around whiny bratty crying spoiled children) The bread was gross(how can you mess up bread? wth) but the pasta noodles were delicious! I’ve been to the location in the Buckhead area and this one. When I went to the Buckhead one I’ve had the tagliatelle vongole(homemade tagliatelle [broad flat noodles] with littleneck clams, wine, garlic, diced tomato, olive oil and hot pepper) and here at this loc, I ordered the tagliatelle crab(homemade tagliatelle with crab, sundried tomato, green peas in a spicy brandy and cream sauce). The home made tagliatelle are so yummy! Just right chew and bite noodles. I don’t use a lot of salt in my cooking so the sauces seemed a little salty to me, but it wasn’t so much that it detracted from the dishes. I think I could just eat the noodles with garlic and olive oil, sans any type of other sauce. This place is ok, just average overall, and I think I may have greatly benefitted from being one of the only people there, the service was great and they were very attentive.

Went here for the first time and will most certainly go back! All things pasta — they even bring a tray to show you the different kinds of pasta and what they look like. You choose the kind you want and the kind of sauce you want to go with it. Any combination you want. The garlic rolls are more dense than what you usually get at Italian places but still very good. Serving portions are VERY generous. Neither hubby nor myself could finish our entrees. Too bad because I really wanted to try their tiramisu. Thank goodness a co-worker of mine told me about this place!

Quality of this place has gone way down but the prices have shot up. So at Mirko’s Pasta, you order your pasta and sauce separately. Each run about 6 dollars a piece. I remember it used to be about $ 5 for the pasta and $ 7 for the sauces that came with a meat. Now, most of the meats you have to order separately. On top of that, for $ 3 you get about 4 slices of grilled sausage that has zero seasoning. I used to be a big fan of their homemade pastas and how they always had a great bite to them. On this visit, I got the gnocchi and it fell to mush in my mouth. They even changed their bread recipe. Sadly, this will probably be my last visit. I just can’t justify spending $ 15+ per person for shoddy pasta.

This Mirko’s pasta is bigger than the other Mirko’s pastas I have been too. The server was great. I had my order to go and the server or manager still offered me bread and water. They were very nice. The reason I am giving them two stars is because of the food. The bread did not taste like it normally does. It was not as fluffy as normal. I also always order the Granchio Spinach Tagliatelle and the portion was much smaller, expensive, and super salt compared to the Mirko’s in Athens. It really scarred me from ever coming back and I do not think I will.

Subpar. Which is unfortunate as I frequent the buckhead location ! I get the same thing every time and this locations tasted very different. Sauce was great, but the ravioli def had a weird after taste to them. Also no creamy chickpea dip that comes with the bread ??? Giving them 3 stars bc I love the other locations, but unfortunately this one didn’t do it for me today. Service was great!

Pricy and the quality of food not worth it. The noodle is ok, but the portion is too small. I am about a kid’s size, and I feel hungry. All clam I had come with a broken shell. Won’t visit again.

We’ve eaten dinner here twice and, although I’ve had better Italian food, I don’t think I can claim that I got such a good deal as I did here. The atmosphere is lacking in general, but our waiter(the same guy on separate occasions) is always pleasant & funny. The restaurant tends to be almost empty when we get there, but that just means we don’t have to yell at each other like other places. It almost seems like the bar is too big for the space, but if they can afford the rent, who am I to argue? I’ve tried two versions of the ravioli with salsiccia and amatricano sauces… both were very tasty. She’s tried the pollo parm and lasagne, which were also good. Decent bar prices and val-pak coupons seal the deal for me. I wouldn’t ever bring a bottle of wine here, but it’s good food at great prices. Last night, dinner cost me $ 27 including tip. We’ll probably go here a couple times a year and be happy with ourselves…

It really is a shame that I can’t give this Mirko location a better review, but the service absolutely ruined what was decent food(not great). I get that when we arrived, the restaurant was preparing(read: only closed sections) for some sort of Christmas party. There were no parties happening when we arrived though??? The hostess was nice and asked which of the remaining tables we would rather have, so atleast she was honest. We were greeted by numerous servers who were confused as to which was taking care of us, which shows a general lack of communication between staff. The food. I like the fact that you get to choose the pasta, the sauces, and add meats according to your tastes. The wine and pasta combos were pretty good with a little too much spice/garlic for even this Eyetalian. The desserts were just OK, but again not very expensive, so I’ll let it slide. Once we finished the meal, it took a good 15 – 20 minutes with empty glasses and plates before we ever even were acknowledged again(check?). Usually I can look past sub-par or average food if the service is good, but not this time. Maybe the other locations are better?

So after work, my siblings and I went to Mirko Pasta for dinner. I’ve only tried the Mirko Pasta in Buford. And I have to say that I like the service here better than the one in Buford. My server’s name was Jason. He knew his pastas, too. I was so confused at first, but he came to our table and explained the different types of pasta from the short to long pastas. He was friendly and very attentive. He came to check on us(not so much that it became annoying). He served the complimentary bread and bean dip. The bean dip tasted so fresh and tasty! Maybe it was because I was starving. who knows! (I know for a fact that the one I tasted in Buford. their bean dip tasted bad. It was like eating spoiled bean dip which was not so great for my sensitive stomach. I just had a horrible experience with the Buford location. I went there several times when I was living in Buford.) My siblings and had kept asking Jason for more bread and bean dip. He served it to us so quickly the second, third and fourth time! His service to us was AMAZING! Also he had such a friendly smile. I really liked that a lot! Hehe!!! I hope the other servers are more attentive and friendly as him for the next time I visit. I had ordered the Spinach Tagliatelle(pasta), Polpa di Grandchio(sauce), then I added shrimp(extra $ 4.00). In all, it was $ 16.00. My little sister, Crystal H. had the Tagliolini(pasta), Pesto di Basil(sauce), then added shrimp. In all, it was $ 15.50. My little brother had the Tagliatelle(pasta), Alfredo(sauce), then added chicken(extra $ 3.50). In all, it was $ 15.00. My pasta tasted great, but I’m going to get what Crystal got next time. I tried a little bit of my siblings’ dishes. I really liked the burst of basil flavor that Crystal had. I’m going to order that one on my next visit. My little brother’s pasta was ok. I’m not a really big fan of Chicken Alfredo. Overall, I enjoyed eating here and will be back for some more!

When I walked thru the door, the place was empty. Still is. Why, I don’t know.. . The lasagna verdí is wonderful. The rolls are made from scratch. The iced tea I had had flavor — it wasn’t just brown water. The food is good. Still don’t know why the place is empty. I’m only here for a week. Now that I know I can choose my pasta & sauce, I just may have to come back here before I go back home. Really — I’m the only customer in here right now. That’s strange — for food as good as this is. Returned July 16th for the chicken parm and spicy tagliolini. Great dish! The portion is enough to be filling but not too much food. I really like this place. If I am in the area for business again, I’ll be back at Mirko Pasta!

Been here twice, once ordered to go and I dined in the other time. When I ate there, I had the chicken parm which was AWESOME! The staff was knowledgable and friendly. The time I ordered to go I got a pasta and picked a sauce. The portion size difference between dine in and to go is substantial, just as someone else had mentioned. The food was still good, though. Both times I’ve been inside the restaurant it was dead, one being 5:30 on a Saturday night.

Clean and filled with flavor. Service is a 10. However we were only one of 4 tables with customers. No major complaints except one minor one. A business based on fresh daily made pasta should not over cook the pasta. But it was only over cooked by 1 – 2 min max. Very very tasty still. I will be back.

I prefer savory over sweet and consider pasta my ‘chocolate’. I was a regular at Figo off of Howell Mill and now that I live OTP, the opening of Mirko in Johns Creek was welcome news. Freshly made pastas and sauces offered at reasonable prices in a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. They offer lunch specials during the week for $ 7.99. Try the fettuccine, meatballs and minestrone soup for a satisfying meal. My favorite is the Trecce Spinach pasta with the Funghi sauce(wild mushrooms, cream and parmesan). The mushrooms taste delicate, nutty and meaty and the hand made pasta nicely absorbs the cream sauce. Grab bread to soak up any remaining sauce on your plate! This location was larger than I expected, nicely decorated with the feeling of a lounge. The manager was welcoming and service from Song was warm and genuine. Definitely see myself becoming a regular.

Mirko is a build your own pasta local gain similar to Figo. You can choose your pasta(short, long, and encased) and also your sauce. My table ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which was really rich in flavor without being too thick. There was also the complimentary white bean dip which was interesting but I’m going to stick to the other dip. I ordered the shaved chicken salad which came with a peanut lemon dressing. It was really refreshing and bright. However, I was crunched on time so I asked for mine to-go and the portion was rather small. My friend’s pastas that they ordered for dine-in were HUGE though. So my suggestion is to dine in instead of take out. The service was also top notch. They could tell we were first timers and were very accommodating. When we couldn’t decide whether to eat inside or outside on the patio, the waitress asked if we would like to look at the patio to see if we wanted to sit there. We liked it. After about 5 minutes of sitting outside, the wind was so strong that it knocked over the umbrella next to us, so we promptly moved inside. The staff was very quick to put together a new group of tables for us. 5 stars for service 4 stars for food 5 stars for location Coming back again! It is especially a great spot to go to lunch after church.

No review about the pasta, as I only got a salad the night that I met a good friend here for dinner(jokes about thin girl never eating anything substantial may ensue… NOW!). I got the Shaved Chicken Salad, while my friend got gnocchi. I didn’t get a bite of her dish, but she said that she liked it enough and boxed half of it, as the dumpling were really filling and heavy(as they typically are). My salad though was actually really delish. I know what you’re thinking: how can any salad be good. Well, I think it was the dressing that really made this one(which I did ask for on the side, my request being fulfilled on the second try, as the first salad came lovingly draped in dressing). The dressing was a peanut/lemon one and the combo was magnificent, with the richness and slight sweetness of the peanut/peanut butter and the tanginess of the lemon. I would actually order this on another day where I max out my carbs – which happens frequently, as I eat waaaaay too many desserts. Next time, I would like to try one of the pastas that they make in-house. They have both handmade pasta and dried. One thing that our server told us that may have been true but seemed ridiculous to me either way was that they fly in their desserts from Italy. I’m pretty sure this is not green and it does not support the local economy too well either. Get a pastry chef up in there to concoct his/her own sweets or at least buy things wholesale from the talented dessert creators in the city. I think I will stop by again to gain a better impression of this place.

They make all of their pastas and sauces in house. Just like the other locations, you can pick the type of pasta and sauce to create your own or choose from their premade pasta dishes. Apparently, this is their largest location yet. I had trecce spinach pasta with carbonara sauce as my entrée; home-made tiramisu for dessert(they used cake instead of lady fingers for layering fyi… still very yummy)
