Naturalives

I booked this place for two reasons:
1. Anniversary outing
2. Possible spa recommendation for our vacation rental guests.
I booked appointments a month in advance for our wedding anniversary, on the only day we were both available to spend the day getting pampered. I scheduled a couples massage, facials, nails, the works for our 4^th anniversary. I was so looking forward to relaxing. We showed up at 10 am, and the gates were locked. The windows were dark. We called and texted: no one responded. At 10:40 we got a call from Kelly saying she didn’t know we had appointments, none of the staff showed up today, but if we wanted to come back for facials/​nails we could, or re-​schedule. No thanks. Will not be recommending this place to any of our vacation rental guests. Very disappointing experience.

Megan is so friendly and super great at what she does (waxing)! I was comfortable from the first minute on her table, even though I was stripped down. She gave me all the info regarding what to expect as this was my first wax ‘down-​there’. Since then, I’ve gone back for #2! I didn’t even hesitate. And it was even easier this time. Will for sure frequent as much as I can! :)

I was in much need of a massage, very tense and had a wide variety of neglected problematic muscles and pain. I wasn’t sure what to expect of this spot in the high desert. The lady on the phone was very helpful and friendly and I made an appointment with Cory. I’ve had many different massages all up and down the coast of California, Hawaii and even Eastern Europe with male and female therapists and this was one of the best massages I’ve had. Cory was absolutely great! I felt totally comfortable with him. He was able to find stuff without me pointing it out and worked through all sorts of solid difficult muscles. The pressure was great, I prefer deeper massages and the deep tissue work was very effective. I left feeling like a new person, in a much better mood and with a lot less pain! I will come back.

I would first like to say that if you are looking for a legitimate Spa to get a massage up here in the high desert you will want to try this place. I either needed a chiropractor or a great massage therapist or a combination of both because everything was sore and locked up. The happy ending you will get from this location will be how great your body will feel after! Everyone at this location is calm, kind and professional. I have been going once a week for about the last two months and have waited to do my review. I have been going to Corey and he does a fantastic job and has the ability to use lighter or heavier pressure depending on what you need. I am not sure what the negative review is about in regards to him not applying enough pressure because he does not have a lack of hand strength. My husband who usually is not a fan of massages felt very comfortable here and decided to go have a couples massage and had Cody as his therapist. Needless to say we have been getting weekly 90 minute massages with them both and have an appointment for today. I also want to try some of the other services they offer. The owner Linda is usually on site and makes the appointments. They always welcome you with a smile and are very professional. I just love this place!

It has always been difficult for me to find massage therapists I feel comfortable with but everyone at Naturalives has been awesome. My wife and I have been getting couples massages here for a few weeks. Corey has really helped my wife with her back and she can now avoid a trip to the chiropractor. Cody helped me with ongoing neck and shoulder issues and after three or four weeks of regular massages I’m at least an inch taller!

I have received massages from all over the world-​from California to Thailand and Taiwan. So I read the Unilocal reviews and decided to go with Corey. He was very nice and professional, but I feel like his massages were a bit mediocre if not disappointing. I don’t think my knots were appropriately addressed, and wished there was more pressure the entire hour. I did ask him 3 times to apply more pressure, but the same soft pressure was applied the whole hour. Within 5 minutes of the massage, I could tell it was going to be one of «those». So I took a deep breath, and prepared myself to endure 60 minutes of another bad massage. Corey was really nice, but the massage just was not worth it at $ 70/​hr plus a $ 15 tip I really didn’t want to give…

My girlfriend and I decided to be adventurous and go «luxury camping» at Joshua Tree for the weekend and what better way to start it than a couples massage? I get massages fairly often and my massage with Katie was one of the best I’ve ever had. The amount of pressure couldn’t have been better and she really helped loosen my upper back from multiple stubborn knots. Now, I am extremely ticklish on my feet but Katie was able to even accommodate a foot massage without me squirming one bit! Please do request for her!

Just had a massage with Corey. He’s good as in really really good. I actually feel taller. It’s been a long time since I have felt this good. Can’t wait to go back~

I cannot explain how amazing I feel walking out of Naturalives spa! I have received several massages from other places, spent hundreds on a single massage, and I honestly will never choose to go anywhere but Naturalives from now on. First off, they offer endless services, most of which you won’t find near this area, really cool stuff and at ridiculously affordable prices! On to the good stuff… one thing I loved about going to Natualives is that my massage was completely my very own personal massage and I left feeling healed and relieved from a long time of tension and pain (for the first time ever). Let me say, I absolutely can’t stand spending hard earned money at a spa and leaving dissatisfied because my massage felt so unaccustomed to me. Well I’m happy to say I won’t make that mistake again, thanks to this wonderful place! I received a massage from Cory and at first I was hesitant to have a male do my massage because of a previous experience at a different spa, but I was completely comfortable with Cory the entire time. In fact, I will go back to him. I’ve never had experience with a masseuse who has as much passion and raw talent for the profession as he. Cory went above and beyond to heal and relieve all of my tension areas. I will say that he is a true professional at his art. I was very impressed with Cory’s talent and how knowledgable he is. I was impressed that every movement he made had an impact on my muscles and I have never experienced a masseuse who has that ability or at least tried half as hard to accomplish that. You know how sometimes the area the masseuse is working on is doing no purpose, nor does it feel amazing like it should? (since you’re paying an arm and a leg at most spa’s)…Well not once did my massage not feel totally amazing and for that, I give this spa, and Cory 5 stars!

This place is wonderful! The new facility is amazing and is sure to offer fixes to whatever ails you! They also offer a military discount! We have been having massages done the Naturalives staff since we moved here almost 2 years ago. Naturalives continues to go above and beyond by adding new services to make their office even better! They staff is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.

I love Naturalives! When I first moved to the area in 2009 I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a legitimate spa and therapeutic massage. How wrong I was, for years I’ve been enjoying the 29 palms location facials, waxing, educational classes and massage. I’m so happy they have moved into a larger location it’s absolutely beautiful! I recommend them to anyone I run into looking for any services they offer. My personal favorite is the 90 minute deep tissue massage, if you haven’t checked them out yet I strongly suggest you do so!
