Affordable Cooling & Heating Service

I had these guys install two furnaces in my home that I lease to tenants. The price was decent and Randy seemed to be a friendly guy, so I hired them. I also had them quote a few other jobs, but they were quoting almost twice as much as the next most expensive plumber. A few months later, the furnace would not turn on and my tenants were freezing downstairs. I was desperate to have the problem resolved, so I called Affordable C&H to have them look at the furnace to diagnose the issue. I asked them to schedule for the next morning, but Randy said that he could go over immediately. I gave them credit for getting out right away at 6:00 pm. However, Randy installed a new thermostat without receiving my prior approval and charged me $ 170. Now I know that the reason he insisted on doing the job immediately was so he could charge a $ 90 service fee. Are you kidding me?! I was unavailable when he called to discuss the matter, but I returned the call within 15 minutes. The thermostat he installed was a digital non-​programmable thermostat. Mind you, I changed the upper level (programmable) thermostat I bought at Lowes for a whopping $ 25. And I did it BY MYSELF! There is no way that a low-​end job like this should cost almost seven times as much. I feel that Randy took advantage of the situation and overcharged me because I am across the country and my tenants need heat. Please heed this review and go elsewhere for your heating, cooling and plumbing needs. People cannot take advantage of other people without some type of repercussion. Do not make the same mistake I made. Take your business elsewhere.
